They examining my upstairs pipes then the basement. I was informed of the necessary step to cap the steam pipes. The technicians were very professional.

The technician, Jose, was kind, courteous, and professional. Very nice guy. However, totally different interaction with the office. The person who answered the phone, Lisa, was very kind when I first scheduled the appointment. I described the problem, and she said it would cost ($90 - $25 discount for Angie's customers) $65 for a technician to come by. She said he would determine the cost of the repair, and I would ultimately be on the hook for the cost of the repair with the $65 included in the total price. But, I described how simple the problem was, and she said it would likely be no more than the initial $65 fee or maybe a little more if I needed a part. Technician arrives, takes a look. Stepped outside for 10 minutes to figure out pricing with the office. Comes back with an iPad with my options for repair. The cheapest option was $255..... I was a little upset, especially because the tech admitted this was no more than a 20 minute job. I amazon'd the new faucet they were going to put on, and it retailed for $20. The next option for repair was $450+, and the ONLY difference between the two packages was that the higher priced one included switching the shower head so that it matched. When I tried to ask the tech why the heck this was so expensive, he flipped a page on the iPad, and showed me the package I was being offered for an even higher price on a new page, that I was lucky. It made it seem like they had the same packages on different pages for different amounts, and choose what to offer based on the interaction. I called the office to try and see if they would be willing to explain this pricing - Lisa picked up, and instead of the very kind and sweet person who I had spoken to just hours earlier, she was extremely rude, told me I had to deal with the technician, that he was the professional and not me, that he knew what he was doing, etc. I didn't push the issue further because I knew i was talking to a brick wall. If I didn't need to have the problem fixed ASAP because of travel I would have declined the job. Other providers on Angie's charge hourly fees - I think the most expensive I had contacted was $140/hour. Given that this was a 20-25 minute job total, it would have been a lot cheaper to go with the hourly rate. I just went with these guys because it sounded like it would be no more than the initial $65 fee as Lisa originally told me, and because they seemed like good guys. So, I ended up paying $280 for a roughly 25 minute total interaction. Come on guys ...

This is the second time using this company. Jose was my first service provider and. This time was Oscar. Again the job was done professionally, punctually and with the utmost of care. I will be using this company again.

I was not satisfied AT ALL. They were efficient in their call backs and prompt with their appointment, but the polite person who answered the telephone failed to say the cheapest drain cleaning was $244.00 with a one month guarantee. She said it would be $89.00 for the service call and a $25.00 discount for Angie's List coupon, but failed to say the $89.00 is just to LOOK at the situation, not fix it. Seriously? and that would be for just one drain!!! Pricing went up to $900.00 - I did not even read what that was for. And I still do not know why the service men needed to see the tub drain in the basement after witnessing that the drain was working perfectly. Originally I called because that drain was not draining at all. I used baking soda and white vinegar followed by bleach several days later and tried the drain again, but it was still not working. I had to scoop out the water and soak up the remaining so there would be no standing water. Of course, when they arrived...it worked perfectly. I guess it just needed more time to dissolve the clog. I decided to use the baking soda/vinegar in the 2nd floor bathroom and followed the next day with bleach. DONE :) So I basically spent $89.00 for 2 guys to look around my house..commenting on pictures on the walls, glass doors and layout...What is that about??? I will not ever call them back or recommend them.

Jose was punctual and professional. Upon completion of his work, he tested and left only when he knew his work was perfect. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with this company. I would, without hesitation, use. This company again.

Called to schedule an appointment, they seemed very professional and attentive. Scheduled for 9/22/15 for window between 11am-2pm. At 13:45 received call to say they would be running late and would call as soon as they were on their way. At 15:15 I called them. They were unable to provide an ETA and as I could no longer wait for them I told them to cancel the call

Gold Star provided excellent service. They were very clear when they would come and called the day of to confirm who was coming and at what time. When the technician arrived, they put covers on their shoes, walked me through the project and completed it quickly. I was able to run my credit card on a tablet and sign there. Great experience.

Repairman was Jose who did an excellent job. He located the problem, explained what had to be done and the cost and then efficiently rectified the problem. Jose was very courteous and professional. I would use Gold Star Plumbing for future plumbing needs.

Prompt and professional. The person that scheduled the appt, Lisa, was great. They were pretty busy and made time to fit us in. We had a leak from the first floor fridge that was leaking into the basement ceiling. I made a hole in the basement ceiling to drain some of the water that was leaking. The plumber opened up the hole a bit more and was able to see that the line from the fridge was leaking. Went to the first floor moved the fridge back and the plumber added refrigerator water tubing, nut, bulb, and coupling.

It went well. I thought they were reasonable. I would use them.

He has permit to do plumbing that most people don?t have. So he did not have a problem connecting our pipes to the town?s sewage. He was good. He did the right thing. He had the inspector to come out to the town and locate it and out the pipe in. I have a tiny house and the chain was bigger than the house. They did a huge pipe across the yard but I guess it has to be huge. The trench is probably 15 feet deep and 12 feet long to put the pipe in. It was very complicated but it would have been difficult for every plumber. I don?t think it would have been that much money and it does not make sense to me. They could have brought one machine so they did not mess up the whole yard. I will not use them again because I don't need my house to be connected twice to the sewage system.

We are waiting for a house call bill, which the service man said was $59.99. We will see it was a bad experience.
