Friendly, professional young men come to your house, work in a very serious, no nonsense, expeditious manner. They come in with all equipment they need, including drop clothes so as to not dirty your home. I first heard of BQ from a distant relative and was elated when I found them on the "(Angie's)list". Brian is extremely professional and his team of electricians are top notch. He also upgraded the electrical in my house to 220 and it went extremely well. He is the only electrician I will use. Extremely code conscious and he goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers. This is a perfect example of what a excellent electrician/electrical contractor should be.....

We had an issue in our house that cause all the lights to noticeable dim or brighten when certain appliances (eg fridge compressor) would change status. After calling a couple of electricians that flaked out on us, BQ came right out and determined that it was some kind of distribution imbalance. Our outside box was faulty, and the technician called our electric supplier to demand they came to fix it. They tried to blow him off, but he insisted it was an emergency (which it may have been - the voltage swing was large enough to be somewhat dangerous) and they sent someone out that same day. After the outside box was fixed, BQ did the necessary work inside the house quickly, efficiently and cleanly. Overall, very professional and helpful.

The service went well. The men were prompt, friendly and professional. There were no surprises--they installed the attic ceiling fan and promised that I would have no problems with leaks. I've had no problem since it was installed. I am a little unhappy because the fan is quite a bit noisier than the previous fan, but you kind of get used to it after awhile.

Both jobs went extremely well. The first job was an all day job that went without any delays or problems. There were two electricians in the house, and the owner made a stop by to check and make sure the job was going well. Adjustments were made at his discretion and the rest of the job was completed with them finishing by cleaning the job site and labeling the new electrical box of all circuits in the house were labeled on the new panel. BQ really stepped up to the plate the second job as they ran a dedicated line for our new AC on short notice. They also moved an existing wire in the wall to accommodate the new unit, FREE OF CHARGE. Had wires to run throughout then entire second floor of my house to complete the job and still got everything done in two hours. Very happy with BQ

My parents bought a new electric stove and had unforeseen electrical issues during the delivery. As a result, we needed an licensed electrician to complete the installation. Since I previously used BQ Electric earlier this year and liked the experience, I called them up asking for help. Brian remembered me, listened carefully to my needs, and sketched out the likely scenarios -- just like the last time his crew did work on the house. Having been to my house before, he also gave me accurate price estimates while over the phone. We agreed on the work order and he had his crew squeeze in my work the next day (a friday, no less!). His crew arrived as promised the next day at the agreed time. What helped was that one of the workers also had worked at the house during the first job so the familiarity was there. They worked quickly and were tidy throughout the event. Within two hours, everything was done and happy smiles were all around. BQ Electric did a fine job this time around, just like they did the first time.

After the initial inspection, Brian sat down with me and explained in detail the possible scope of work revealed from it. He also walked through my house to show me some concerns. We discussed the scope of work and prioritize the short-term and long-term needs. He also included an outside outlet for free :) After the appointment was made, Tommy and Chris arrived and completed the work. They were very cordial, respectful and professional. Tommy consistently asked if I had any questions and answered them throughout the time they were there. Surprisingly, they took a short break(30 min.) and returned quickly to finish the job. After the work was done, Tommy and Chris walked through the house with me reviewing the original work order and checked to see if they cleaned up after themselves. Brian called for me to rate their service. Brian was very reasonable about the price of work that needed to be completed in the future. I would recommend this company to anyone. By the way, their work is guaranteed for several years. Thanks again!

One lighting fixture on a stone and cement mailbox pillar was causing a short and work for that issue is to be scheduled for a second visit as a new electrical line needs to be run underground. All other issues have been resolved; all that's left for me to do is order a few specialty bulbs for walkway lights. BQ is my go to company for everything electrical.

They thoroughly inspected my house and gave me the quality serviceI I expected. They were very informative, courteous and understanding of my concerns which was much appreciated. They broke down in writing what was needed in the house. The service they gave for the price they charged I considered very generous. I look forward to having them work for me.

Havent scheduled any work as of yet but Brian and his crew are at the top of our list. I had a whole inspection done that took about 2.5 hours, Bill the technician who performed the inspection was right on schedulle and took the time to explain each every problem, issue, and good thing about the electrical work on my almost 100 year old home. He made sure to inform me what to expect after the inspection was done. A few days later I was contacted by Brian the owner to schedule a sit down to go over the report. Once again punctuality and professionalism weren't an issue. Brian sat with us and reviewed every detail of the report ponting out things that were in urgent need of repair vs. things that could wait. We liked the fact that he didn't seem to want to sell a dream of incessant repairs. Was very willing to work with us and our budget!

Neat clean well done job. They placed everything where I requested them to and I am very happy with the result. They cleaned up after they were done. Very competitive price as well.

Electricians arrived on time and proceeded to cut the hole in the roof. after that the fan was hooked up electrically. work was done neat and men were professional. They finished on time. great job would use them again.

The job was a breeze. Got an e-mail from Angies list about a special deal for an attic fan and after all good experiences with Angies list I jumped at the offer.Brian was a pleasure to deal with and his installers were professional and also easy to work with.They answered all my questions and the job was completed in no time at all.

We called BQ to repair our service entrance which had been damaged when a tree branch fell on our line. Brian (the B in BQ) responded to our phone inquiry right away and scheduled an appointment to see us the next day. We had called 4 other companies in the area. Three never got back to us and one said they could come assess the problem 2 weeks later. His quotation was very reasonable.We had a new wood mast installed, PVC pipe, new wiring and a new meter pan. His staff was prompt, professional and courteous. They arrived on time and even called 45 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to give me an estimated time of arrival. They even went as far as putting down drop cloths as to not dirty our floors. The work was done promptly and they removed all debris from the repair. The power to our house had to be shut off to get the work done. Luckily for us the BQ staff is already trained and certified on how to do it so we did not have to wait for PSE&G to come and restore it thereafter. Two days after the work was done we received a follow up call from Brian to ensure that everything was in order and see if we were satisfied with the work that was done. After hearing the nightmares people go through with different electricians I so glad we went with BQ Electric. I highly recommend them and will use them again if we need any electrical work done in the house.

On the day the service was scheduled, three gentlemen arrived on time, performed all of the work as quickly as could be expected and cleaned up after themselves. Throughout the installation, they explained what they were doing and why. I was very pleased with all of their work and would definitely recommend BQ Electric to my friends and neighbors.

BQ is a professional Electrical company which provides a wide array of services. I had used them previously and was very satisfied so I called them again, they were one of several electrical estimates that I received and because I was able to negotiate a lesser price I had to choose another company. I really wanted to stay with them.

Brian, the owner came for estimate was very professional. He actually put on little paper booties over his shoes as not to get my house dirty. I had several estimates over the past year and Brian had the best prices. He was also knowledgeable about the models available and best unit for size of room. 2 workers came to do the job were also very professional, it took them what I thought a long time to do. The job became very involved and it was late in the day when they finished. I was their last job. I know those 2 men wanted to get out and go home to their families but they took their time, completed the job and cleaned up everything!
