Description of Work: Big Deal for BQ Electric. They missed first appointment. The second appointment was within agreed upon time frame. Work performed was sub-standard, specifically did not check everything they stated in Big Deal. When they were performing inspection, worker dislodged electric wire cap, exposing live wire and left it that way. Very disappointed in service.I did not receive post inspection report (over a month since inspection). BQ Electric stated they would refund my $39.00, even so, this was not worth the time, aggravation, and leaving my electric wiring in worse condition then before they arrived.

Description of Work: The estimate was pretty straight forward and easy to read for someone like me who doesn't speak Electrician. As Bill was doing to inspection he walked me thru step by step and explained it all. The thing I liked most is they let you know what needs to be fixed and what's not really necessary, in other words they're not just trying to take your money. When Brian (the Owner) came over to give us the results, he was very very detailed. The price was AMAZING, he really worked with me and I will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: They replaced our electric panel, re-ran all the wiring and the line from the poles. It was not an easy job but they explained all the necessary steps and made it look organized and safe. They were friendly, courteous and professional. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to my friends and family.

Description of Work: They inspected the whole house's electrical system and made recommendations for improvements to modernize a system that dates back to 1939. Presently I am working with BQ to implement many of the recommendations. Their principal and staff have been very responsive.

Description of Work: Upgraded several electrical circuits to confirm to code. Installed new outlets that were subject to overloads. Replaced several lighting units that were unsafe.

Description of Work: Electrical system upgrade was completed In a timely manner. Brian and his crew were fantastic. There were no hidden costs. All questions were answered . The crew left the home meticulous after the job was completed. I would highly recommend BQ Electric. Thank you.

Description of Work: Installed two ceiling fixtures. Very friendly, professional, knowledgable, and neat. They did not rush through the job and out the door, as many contractors do, but took time to ask me questions and answer my questions. They cleaned up after themselves. Wonderful experience and would use them again without reservations.

Description of Work: Two electrical technicians arrived and performed a thorough job inspecting the whole house, inside and out. Although it seemed that it took longer than expected to compile a report, on 08/13/14, Brian the owner presented a detailed report that allows me to choose to perform the needed repairs/upgrades over a period of time as I am able to work it into my budget.I will be contacting him in the near future to begin work. Up to the present time I am satisfied that I got my money's worth.

Description of Work: At the end of April, I took advantage of the Angie's List special offer from BQ Electric for a '$39 Whole House Electrical Inspection.' Proprietor Brian Quinn sent me an itemized estimate via e-mail. Shortly afterwards, Brian came to my home and we discussed the proposed items in detail. I needed a new 150 amp service upgrade, several new circuits and receptacles, a new circuit box, among other items. Brain explained each facet and answered any questions I had. The job would require two days. Since every room in my house would be affected, I expressed concern about my dog and two cats. Brian actually wrote instructions on the work order for the technicians to be mindful of my pets--specifically that doors and windows must be closed. |The first day, three men (Tommy, Jason and James) arrived and I was impressed once again that care would be taken with my critters. On the second day, two of the men worked a full day. Throughout the job, each gentleman demonstrated a very professional attitude and was highly competent. Time was taken to explain various aspects and answer any of my questions. At the conclusion of the job, Tommy contacted Brian who insisted on talking with me to see if I was satisfied with the work. I was. |I would not hesitate to use BQ Electric at some future time and would recommend this company to family and friends.
