These genetleman were excellent. On both the visit for the estimate and the visit for the actual work, they were punctual. Cost was on par with other estimates. They were thorough with their work and left no mess which was appreciated.

brian diagosed the problem and ran new wire to the fixture. He was done in less than an hour.

Checked breakers as one small area of house had no service. labeled some of my breakers. could not find problem but not scope of service special. Nice people, gave me good advice.

It was very good. They were prompt. The technicians were really professional and very nice. They found some things but they actually did a couple of things for me that wasn't even covered in the inspection. They were on time. Overall, they explained everything and they went along. They were good.

Called just the day before and they arrived exactly on time. Called 15 minutes beforehand to say they were on their way. The workmen took time to protect the floors, were courteous and informative. Also, spoke to the owner, Brian several times He was also in contact with the workmen onsite. Would highly recommend to my friends and neighbors.

It went very well. Brian was helpful in explaining to us what needed to be done and he was honest and worked with us on the price. One of his workers, Bill, was the man on the job and if you need anything electrical done in your home, he's your man.

The internal control panel of the transfer switch was installed creatively such that there no holes needed to be made on our wall. We are satisfied.

I bought a house that needed a new 200 Amp panel, outside generator switch, whole house surge protector, all the outlets and switches changed, new interior and exterior lights installed, high hat ceiling lights installed in the new kitchen with all new outlets and switches, and a basement that I gutted that I had to have the electrical updated. Brian was very quick to get back to us with a proposal knowing that we are in a bit of a time crunch. He met with us again at our convenience with a detailed and well thought out plan for prioritizing what is most important and necessary for safety concerns and what is a luxury we could afford to wait a little while on. He was extremely sensitive to our budget and our needs and went out of his way to make sure we settled on a course of action that made sense financially but also made us feel we were making sure our home is safe and worry free. The team arrived on time as scheduled. They began to neatly work and identify where problems existed. Each time even a possible issue was found I was asked to oversee it and explain if I had any knowledge of where the wiring went. If the issue needed to be addressed it was documented and a full work punch list was created to build the quote for the total repair. The total repair was identified by Area, and if it was a Code issue or safety issue, or just structure and ability to update items in the future. We agreed on the items that needed to be repaired and asked to have some additional work added to the quote to be completed on their next visit. All work was done neatly and fully documented so that any future required work or expansion can be done without concern of the work that was corrected and the full breaker panel is now fully compliant, as well as all items throughout the house.

The provider was very prompt and very responsive. The quality of service was excellent.

The service was excellent. Brian came to the house for a free estimate and we were very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. The electricians arrived on time as scheduled and performed the job smooth and efficiently. I did not have to constantly monitor them as they did their job. They performed a job well done with respect and professionalism. Furthermore, they were very clean upon completing the job and did not leave a mess. On Dec 11th I called few places to get a range of prices for this job. BQ Electric offered the lowest prices and without I asking for any promotion, they also mentioned their promotion for customers contacting via Angie's list (this wasn't the case with other service providers and I had to bring it up myself). When I called BQ, it was at the end of the day. Brian himself answered the call, and even though he was closing his office, he took his time to ask questions to understand the situation, then he explained it in detail about what requires to be done based on Nassau Counties regulations. He scheduled an appointment for the next day and his staff showed up at the promised time. We are happy with their quality of work and professionalism. I believe we have found our electrician for any jobs in future.

I am writing this on the behalf of my parents who were extremely pleased with the job done by the staff of BQ Electric. The workers were prompt and professional and cleaned up the site when the job was complete. We are not experts on electrical but the inspector said the job was done perfectly. Definately would use again and highly recommend.

This t was a tough job because the house was built in 1925 and required a detailed approach to replace old wires and equipment. I had called another electrical company , but when they came and looked at the problem, they said they were sorry they had never worked on such a problem.

BQ's team is punctual, professional and courteous. Needed to run wire from house to garage to rewire garage. When we ran into an unexpected issue BQ's team quickly found another option to get the job done properly. Didn't stray from the initial quote although in the end there was more work involved than initially expected. Everything was cleaned up and all work was performed as promised. Great company!

Excellent! Fans came out perfect and wires were run through plaster walls with only a couple minor incisions. Used actual plaster to fill in holes. Great job!

Bill and Mike arrived on time and were professional. Left work area clean as if work was never done. Highly recommended!

My overall response is that Brian and Bill EXCEEDED expectations. They went above and beyond even what was in our contract. I would recommend BQ in a heart beat to anyone and many people consider to be a difficult consumer of services that expects more than most. Let me start from the beginning. I found BQ on Angie's List and was attracted to them by the fact that they had more than 25 reviews where no one graded them less than an A. This is very difficult to find on this site. We also had the job bid by another electrician (who was terrific) but BQ was selected for the following reasons. First, Brian was extremely responsive after we called him (less than 12 hours to call back). Brian is exactly the kind of electrician and business person you want to work with on your house. He listened and understood when we told him that we had a budget. We were doing a big job and Brian got us everything we wanted and more for just a few hundred dollars more than our budget (it's hard to fuss over a couple hundred dollars when you are spending $8000). Second, Bill, Brian's partner, came to our house and was the guy who actually did the work. In addition, the first time he came to our house, he covered his shoes with shoe booties. This was our initial sign that he respected our home like it was his. In addition, since my wife was the only one of us that was going to be home during the job, it was very comforting that she met Bill and he was actually on site during the entirety of the job. Third, the contract Brian provided was extremely detailed and set out a line item for each component of the work. This allowed us to budget appropriately and cut out what we really didn't need. This was one of the critical factors in our decision to hire BQ. Fourth, Brian (and Bill) were available to talk morning, noon and night. This was extremely comforting especially since I am a nervous nelly with lots of questions. I must have spoken to Brian 20 times before and during the job. He made me feel like he always had time for my concerns. This is primarily due to the fact that he is passionate about his work and the type of businessman that everyone wants to work with -- he thrives on the details and pleasing his customers. Fifth, while I am not a licensed electrician, I am a home owner of an old house that house worked with dozens of contractors (including other electricians. The quality of BQ's work is outstanding. Everything was left very neat and they cleaned up everything at the end of each day; the job took 5 working days. Sixth, Bill is extremely trustworthy. He is a family man and really takes pride in his work. Finally, BQ went above and beyond our contract without charging us. For example, we had a number of code violation and sloppy electric work that had been done before we ever owned the house. Bill fixed it all for FREE. In addition, because there was not a time when I could be there when Bill was there, Bill offered to come back on a Saturday (for FREE) in order to go over all of the work that they did and walk me through the job. We have other electrical project needs for our house next year and I know that I will DEFINITELY be using BQ. My only fear is that they will become too busy and harder to get ahold of. BOTTOM LINE: If you need an electrician for any job, big or small, call these guys. If anything, the length of this review and the time it took me to write it should give you a clear indication of how please I am.

Techs called 20 minutes prior to visit that they were on the way. Both Bill and Roy were extremely professional and cared about the level of work they were to perform. Got right down to business and finished the job in 2 1/2 hrs with no issues. They labeled the transfer station as to what breakers they were connected to and explained how to "run" the system with do's and dont's when the need be. They took the time to ensure each circuit was hooked up to what I actually needed to be on when there is no electric service from LIPA.
