Description of Work: They replaced 2 sensors and in 2 outside motion detector lights, 1 whole outside detector light, and replaced a ground fault protection socket above the counter top in my kitchen. At the box they installed a surge protector on the entire house including the ground protection part. I purchased the lights and they supplied the surge protector and the ground protection part.

Description of Work: This is a follow up review. The owner Brian called me back on Saturday April. 29 and apologized because customer service did not call me back on Friday. Brian explained he He had a family emergency and was not in the office to call me back but guaranteed my issue will be resolved. I appreciate him calling me back and it was all resolved. I would recommend them to other people because even of a problem occurs Brian will call you personally and handle any problem. He said he would address the customer service dept. On the handling of my experience. I respect the owner personally calling me back on a Saturday to address my concerns.

+ 0 moreI got in touch with BQ on a Tuesday and they were on the job by Wednesday. Very responsive. Steve and Brian were clean, courteous and fast. They laid out blankets and rugs and cleaned up the dust where the worked. The work was done very carefully and our new highhats look great. Steve was very patient and offered advice on light placement. I would definitely hire BQ again and refer them to friends. Great job.

I would like to note though - although they were on premises for two additional days, the work quality and professionalism was NOT compromised - they did not take shortcuts, they worked diligently and did things the right way. We couldn't be happier with the work or professionalism of the whole team. Great crew, highly recommended and will use again! Thanks.

BQ Electric was prompt and the electrical installation was done to code, passing the certified electrical inspection with no issues. Additionally, the workers cleaned up after their work was done. The only issue we experienced was related to a PSEG inspection of an outdoor I-bolt. This was not installed at the time of the work, and it took a while to get resolved. It has now been installed and we are waiting for the inspection by PSEG.

The installers showed up early and got to work right away. They even fixed a couple of extra problems. I am already planning on having them back to fix a few more things.. + -1 moreThe inspection went really well, the crew came in on time and did a thorough inspection. There was a long delay (over a month) in actually getting the inspection report from the owner. I had some additional work that I wanted priced out but by the time they got back to me, I had the project already finished with another company. I would recommend them on projects but they probably need more crews, I am assuming that the owner wants to go over each report in person even though he didn't do the inspection. This can cause long wait times.

+ 0 moreThis is THE company to use if you need any electrical work done. From the receptionists, to the electricians, to Brian himself, this is an extraordinary company. The electrician arrived exactly when they said he would, and he even called beforehand to let me know he was on his way. Not only was everyone extremely professional and polite, but they did an amazing job. The electricians (Billy and crew) worked non-stop and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted, answering all of our questions along the way. The quality of work was great and the clean-up was unbelievable. They really value and respect their customers. I would highly recommend BQ Electric!
Description of Work: I had aluminum wiring which was causing hot walls around the sockets (the plastic caps were literally melting) and several outlets/switches that were not working. All the switches/outlets on the second floor needed to be upgraded to copper wiring. I also needed separate lines put in for my 2 air conditioners, as well as the installation of 9 highhats which also needed to be switched to copper wiring.

+ 0 moreBill and his crew were efficient as always(not the 1st time they worked in my home) but particularly because they had been here previously they noted some additions that had been added and because they just can't help themselves from doing the right thing, they inspected the work and found that previous contractor (who was from a government agency), had Unsafely installed my ductless AC/heating systems. Basically the lines were "over- breakered", which meant if something were to go wrong the lines could begin to burn(and so would my home), Before the breaker would even trip. Subsequently, I contacted said previous contractor, who sent their electrician( NOT the same person who did the work on my house last year),to inspect my breaker box and who agreed with BQ electric, and came back a few days later to correct it. I am forever grateful to BQ for this as this is something I never would have known until it was too late
Description of Work: Installed outdoor security lights and replaced 2 outdoor fixtures,replaced indoor switches and outlet previously installed which were not up to code. Also installed an additional safety on my Breaker box

In a society that appears to have so little concern for the quality of a company's work -- and always seems to be ready to rip the customer off -- BQ Electric and Brian demonstrate that old-fashioned concern for the customer and pride in their work can still be found.
Description of Work: This service was actually a consultation provided by "Brian." It appeared that my attic fan was no longer functioning and would require replacement. The hard-wired fan itself is located in a space that is very difficult to reach and the installation is tricky, at best. It's definitely NOT the type of job that can be done properly by a "jack-of-all-trades." Brian spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining the quality of the replacement product he would use, its guarantee, and how he would go about installing it. I've done a lot of work around the house myself, and it was obvious from our conversation that this was a professional who knew what he was talking about. He actually suggested that the weather had been cool and overcast which might not have tripped the thermostat of my old unit to go on -- and suggested that if the warming weather did not cause it to kick in, he would replace it. Much to my surprise, as soon as the weather did heat up, the attic fan began functioning normally. I phoned Brian and explained that he was correct -- and assured him that he would be the first person I'd contact when a replacement was needed.

They were professional and made sure to clean up the house before they left. All of the lights look and function great! I didn't have a light fixture picked out for one of the new ceiling boxes at the time of installation?but Brian assured me he would come install it once?we picked one. Overall a great experience, from the day Brian came to give an estimate to the day the work was completed. We will definitely be using them again for any lighting/electrical needs!
