He knew that I needed this service completed ASAP in order to sell my house. We had an appointment scheduled within a week, everything was inspect and while everything was still open he asked if I would like to have everything brought to code all in the same day. I LOVE the prompt service. HE does not play the waiting game where he does one thing one day and you have to wait days or weeks to get the service completed like other electricians I have come across. He calls you back immediately, explains everything in terms you can understand. He also works with you on the price. When I arrived home to see all of the work, they were very friendly and courteous and they were very clean. OVERALL: I was extrememly happy with their work and service.

Brian, Bill and their team did an excellent job again - the second time I hired them for work. Brian came by and gave me a free competitive estimate and I hired him for the work. Bill and his team showed up to do work on the agreed day promptly at 9 am, when I told him that I like to add a couple of new things to their workload. In order to finish the work the same day Brian sent a second team after they finished their first job to come help Bill with the add ons. Bill was a trooper as he was required to cut open and access our attic {with full of insulation) in order to run the new wires for the exterior lights. They managed to get all the work done the same day, clean up and leave. They were competitive, professional, courteous and polite throughout the process. What more can you ask for from your electrician... would highly refer the BQ team.

I wanted to upgrade my electric service to 200 amp and add two outdoor outlets, one in front and another one in the back of the house. After researching and reading several reviews on electric companies, I decided to call BQ Electric. I talked with Brian, the owner, around 10 am and he came around at 12 noon the same day to give us an estimate. He was a very pleasure guy to talk to. He told me that if I commit to next Tuesday to do the work, he will give me a good deal. (Apparently if was the only open day between other projects he is involved in.) He also stood behind his work by with a 5-year guarantee. So I was able got the work scheduled in less than a week. His two-man crew came on time and finished as promised (6 - 6-1/2 hours). They did a very professional and neat job. They also checked several outlets around my house and changed an old outlet in my kids' bedroom without charge. I'm very happy. I highly recommend this company without hesitation. I will call this company in the future.

I knew there were problems with the panel box and the house's electrical circuits that's why I purchased the whole house instection coupon. The panel box was rusted inside. When I purchased the coupon I immediately received a call from B&Q to set up an appointment. Jake, Rick, Jason and James arrived as scheduled on time. I apologize if the names are incorrect. The most imortant thing is they were polite, very professional and very knowledgeable. The first thing they did upon entering into my house was cover my floors to protect them from the water and mud left from the terrible weather we had. They did a complete inspection of my home and explained as they went along. As I expected the panel box had water in it, rusted and beyond repair. The water was entering from outside. One of the breakers stopped working while they were here doing the inspection, they replaced it free of charge. Brian came over after the inspection completed and written up to go over everything they found with me. He explained what was needed and why. There were items found that didn't have to be done right away and he explained what should be done first. There was no pressure to have any work done. I set up an appointment. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and was very considerate of how I was getting along since there was no power for about 6 hours on the first day. The next day they returned for about 2 hours to complete the work. I am very happy with the work that was done. I will recommend B&Q and I will most certainly use them again.

BQ Electric upgraded my panel box and inspected my wiring they did a great job on time and kept there word. We had a small problem with my fence but they made right even more than I expected. all and all great job I would recommend them

The inspection was quite lengthy as they covered all electrical aspects of my entire home. Some work was more required than others and the decision was mine to make.. I am not in a position to move forward at this time. i informed Brian Quinn when certainly family maters are resolved we will contact him and proceed

I am very happy with the work BQ did at my house. Brian originally came to give me an estimate and was very punctual which is very important to me especially with many jobs taking place at once. He gave me a very fair price right up front and I agreed to it immediately and scheduled. His workers were great. They were nice, knowledgeable and professional. They wired my outdoor spotlight while the siding was being done and then came back to finish the job when the siding was replaced. I was supposed to have one job done by them but I was so happy with them and their service that I made arrangements for the other jobs while they were there. I would definitely recommend Brian and BQ to anyone whom needs electrical services for a fair price with no BS!!!

It wasn't what I had expected but the end results were very good. We were informed after work began that water had seeped into our outside electric box and down the main into the electric panel. The master electrician, who I found to be competent and patient, indicated that a number of breakers should be replaced due to signs of corrosion. Furthermore, he indicated that the outside box could be sealed up to prevent water from getting into electric panel. He also found some aluminum wiring that was old and in use and we agreed to a review of the wiring at switches and outlets so that an estimate could be provided to remove the aluminum. The exploratory was for about two hours; we were charged I believe for just one. There was no run up on the bill. We did pay somewhere around $2,500 by the time work was completed because the project had grown so large due to the master electrician's findings. There were several times I exchanged calls with Brian and he called me back promptly each time. Work was performed over 3-4 partial days. Brian was sensitive enough to schedule visits a week apart (so I could save some money to pay the additional cost of the work). It is so worth noting that we had a small leak that developed nearby some work that had been done the day before. Brian and I were very concerned and it was an anxious time for a few hours because I wanted a licensed plumber to come to the house and had trouble getting a hold of one. The pipe, many years old, was dripping from a section that was already covered in some type of old tape or wrapping. The plumber visited us the next day to fix the problem and told me that although vibration from the electrical work being done likely triggered the leak, it was a faulty, old pipe and that BQ Electric was not at all responsible for this - that sooner or later, this pipe would begin to leak as it did. I was quite anxious over this. So the plumber gives me a great quote to replace the whole pipe - and then Brian agrees to take $100 off the bill - even though Brian and I agreed that BQ had nothing to do with this. It was an anxious time... something neither Brian, his master electrician or I wanted. In the end, I most certainly would allow these gentlemen back in my home to do work for us again. About two months have passed and I'm satisfied with the work they performed.

As a result of heavy tree limbs splitting the power line to my home, my power went out during one of our brutal snow storms in Feb. PSEG came out took care of the limbs and ran a new power line. The gentleman from PSEG told me my box outside has some rust and I might want to have my electrician take a look at it. BQ Electric had a special for a Whole-House Electrical Inspection on Angie?s list for $39.00 dollars that I took advantage of. The appointment was scheduled promptly. Unfortunately, I had the schedule written down incorrectly. When I called about it, they had no issues changing the time and figured out how to accommodate MY schedule the same day. They were very respectful and accommodating of my work schedule. The guys who came to the house were professional, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and demonstrated empathy, as I have a serious issue to take care of. I now have a clear understanding of the issue that I thought PSEG should have explained better?. BQ Electric explained in clear, essential terms that I understood not being savvy of electrical terms. Additionally, they gave me the good, bad and the ugly news and hung a light for me while they were already at the house, at no extra charge. BQ Electric will be back in a few days to take care of the more serious items. After doing some research, I believe their prices are fair and reasonable. They are now my go to electricians!! I will tell everyone and I talk a lot.

BQ Electric quoted a reasonable price and did high quality work. They stuck to their schedule, arriving on time and finishing in the expected timeframe, and they left things nice and clean. Considering the huge trench they had to dig to put the new line underground in our back yard, they did a terrific job. Speaking of the trench, they could have gone half as deep and that probably would have been good enough, but they wanted to do it right. They came in two days before the actual electrical work and dug the main trench. When I first saw the trench, there was a moment of, "OMG, what the heck did they do?!" It was rather impressive. But then I looked it over, thought about it and realized that going two feet deep meant we wouldn't have to worry about anyone doing ordinary digging in the yard for other purposes and hitting the power line. The digging of the trench was impressive for the precision--while it must have been done with some kind of machine, as it was too even in depth and width the whole way to have been done by hand (and would have taken forever by hand, given its size), they also managed to dig around the sprinkler system water lines without a problem. The morning of the actual electrical work, they arrived right on time and got to work. They put a drop cloth inside the house, so walking from the yard, where the trenching left piles of dirt, wouldn't track dirt over our carpets. As for the wiring itself, if you didn't know what they'd changed, you'd never know that they had been there. Even the yard looks more-or-less like it did before the trench. They filled it back in and placed the chunks of grass, which they'd cut out like sod, back on top. It needs to settle a little, which it will do as watering and rain make it settle, but our yard looks essentially the same, except for the addition of the outlet we wanted. They did a great job, and I feel that we now have electricians we can go to whenever we need. While we've had electrical work done in the past, none of those electricians left us feeling like valued customers the way BQ Electric did. Thanks to Brian and your people for doing such professional work!

contacted BQ during the week spoke to Brian, the guys came out on Saturday and completed tasks in no time but were informative. I ask tons of questions and they were very forthcoming with the answers

Brian and his crew spent 3 days at our new home updating and changing out various components of the electrical system. They were punctual every morning, calling before they arrived. They worked hard every day to complete the job on this old house. The electrical in this home was not updated at all so it was a big job to say the least. Brian's team figured everything out for us and fixed up all of our electrical issues. They were clean and never did anything without asking what I thought. They wanted to do it right the first time and did not make assumptions about what we wanted. I was overall highly pleased with the work of Brian's team and would recommend them to anyone. I have already talked with Brian about coming in for another small job that we didn't realize we needed until after we moved in.

BQ Electric Inc. came out on Saturday and diagnosed the problem. After negotiating an overall price, we settled on a number that included the initial visit and subsequent follow-up repairs that were done on Monday. Everything seems to have been done well and the lights are back on. The work was done in a timely fashion and the sales/people and repair/people were very patient, understanding, respectful and professional. They were so nice that they did additional work not originally contracted for at no extra charge. I'm sure I could have gotten the job done for less from another company but quality and care sometimes costs a little more!! ............I am very satisfied!!! At this time because of some interruptions we have not made a decision as to whether or not, we did have BQ do the service but in terms of doing any follow up work, we haven't made a final decision about it. The house inspection was very thorough. They were fast and timely.

I contacted BQ and Brian returned my call right away. I explained to Brian the problem I was having with one of the breakers in my electrical panel box. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone and scheduled and appointment. Two technicians arrived on the scheduled day and got to work right away. Both techs were very professional and knowledgeable. As they worked on troubleshooting the problem, they pointed out some issues with some of the wiring. Once they pinpointed where the issue was, they repaired the problem. The only slight hiccup was that the techs arrived 45 minutes later than the scheduled time. Other then the arrival time, I was very satisfied with the work. In fact, I scheduled additional work to be done.

Brian came to my home to give me an estimate. He came on time. He was very professional. I was impressed. Earlier in the week I had received an estimate from another licensed electrician. The estimate was twice as high and I did no get a good "vibe" from him. Brian was willing to negotiate my price. Brian's team of electricians arrived a week later to do the job. They too came on time. They did every bit of the work I paid for plus they cleaned up after themselves. The electricians who did the work were also professional, courteous and helpful. I recommend them to friends and relatives and people with whom I do business.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism all were excellent. They take great pride in their work!! Read the review someone else wrote on October 30, 2013. That extensive review also sums up my wonderful experience with this company! I will use them again. I will HIGHLY recommend them to friends and family!

Called Brian on a Wednesday and was able to set-up a Saturday appt. He listened to what I needed done and gave me a fair price over the phone. His workers arrived punctually (called 15 mins before) and went directly to work. Work was done neatly, efficiently, correctly, and any questions were answered. Would highly recommend and will use again.
