Brian came first to estimate the job, provide us a quote and explain what they would be able to do for us. He took the time to discuss our options... professional/courteous. His men came on the day scheduled... about a wk/10 days later. They were on time and finished the job in under an hour. Neat, courteous, professional crew. We'd recommend BQ without any hesitation to anyone.

The worker from BQ Electric was wonderful. Explained everything he was planning on doing. Showed us as the job progressed what was needed to make everything as safe as possible.

This is a follow up to a recent report written, where I was very satisfied with the whole house inspection, but found the follow up was lacking due to the fact that I never received the physical documents. Well, the owner, Brian personally called me to apologize and immediately set up an appointment so that he could bring me the inspection report. He was punctual and courteous and showed me the reason for the confusion that had occurred. There was actually another person who had ordered the same service, during the exact time frame, with a very similar name to mine. Needless to say, he reviewed everything with me and answered all of my questions/concerns. I will be hiring them to complete the electrical work desperately needed in my home. Oh, and I was quite content with the price!

The electricians were professional, timely and extremely neat. They used drop cloths to avoid making a mess in the house and were able to identify the problem and fix it fairly quickly. They were also very pleasant and courteous. In addition, because they had an emergency at the time of the first appointment and we had to reschedule, they provided a discount for the visit. The good business tactic was greatly appreciated.

A crew of three came to the house. They immediately put down a drop cloth in the front hallway. They then went to work to find out where the problem was. which was traced to a master bedroom outlet. After the work was done they cleaned up any debris they made. I found the workers to be very professional and knowledgeable. I have already made arrangements for them to come back and install a new circuit and receptacle in my garage for my refrigerator I

You CANNOT go wrong choosing BQ Electric. I had them install five outdoor light fixtures and replace some gfi outlets. Brian, the owner, was great to deal with. He came on time; I told him what I was looking for and he provided me an estimate on the spot. I was going to obtain another estimate but after seeing how organized Brian was, I decided to give him the job on the spot. His team came and did an excellent job. Tom, Bill and two other guys were organized, cleaned and professional. I will definitely use them again for any future electrical work.

This was the third of three projects done by Brian Quinn and BQ Electric. Brian and his crew are true professionals. Brian offers his knowledge in suggesting what may be a better solution when appropriate. His crew gets right to the work and is careful in their execution of it. They clean up after themselves. They have been making upgrades to a home that was my parents and that my wife and I plan on renting. I have entrusted Brian with the keys and have full confidence in his work. They care for the property as if it was their own. They previously upgraded a kitchen with GFI counter outlets, dishwasher electric service, new service for microwave, and eight high hats with dual switches and dimmers. They also provided three outside GFI outlets, four window/garage sconces and three porch high hats with timers. They also upgraded a gutted bathroom with a shower high hat, new GFI outlet, ceiling fan/light and medicine cabinet light, plus a new outlet outside the bathroom for vacuum cleaner hall access. This company is a pleasure to deal with and a very good investment. Look forward to having them do more improvements soon.

Brian was on time and very knowledgeable with what I needed. I was able to present Brian with what my problem was and he was able to come up with a great solution. The crew of 2 showed up and immediately put drop cloths at the work areas. They were very neat and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company for anyone who needs electrical work.

From my first contact with Brian he was informative and knowledgeable of the work to be performed. I've had bad experiences in the past I'm Brian took the time to totally calm me down and let me know that I was making the right decision to use his company. He was on the phone with me for close to an hour explaining the job and letting me know why I'm making the right decision to use his company. I was skeptical in the beginning but he was right. When the 2 servicemen came to do the job they will both professional, knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. As soon as they entered my home, they put on foot booties so they wouldn't track dirt into my home. Who does that? BQ Electric that's who! Both jobs were done in an efficient and timely manner. The heat fan and surge protector work great and the price was right. Brian even offered to change my one bulb heat fan into a two bulb for no charge! Brian and BQ Electric provides great customer service and I will definitely use them again.

From the time of the initial phone call with subsequent work being done, Brian and his crew were professional, respectful of one's living space and offered what I felt was good suggestion/advice. During the repairs there were some questions that came up related to finding other problems and Brian was immediately reachable for discussion; in fact an appointment to complete the repair was made before the crew left the house. I feel comfortable and confident with Brian and BQ electric and my home feels safe. I would not hesitate to use again

Found Brian from BQ Electric to be totally professional and his 2 man crew was superb! They worked their butts off and had to endure some very uncomfortable situations in my outdated Levitt house. The crawl space in the attic is extremely claustrophobic and impossible to work in! Some of the walls have 2x3 beams and some of the older beams were very difficult to notch around. They went the extra mile, did everything I asked and then some! Tom was really easy to talk to and he explained everything they were doing. Brian even threw in a new 220 wire for my clothes dryer for free! Who does that? The plug on the dryer was a different size than the 220 box on the wall. They did a great job cleaning up too! I now have new dedicated lines for my AC, bathroom, Microwave, fridge, washing Machine, and home theater system! Amazing job! Couldn't be happier!

I purchased the electrical inspection from Angies list in early September. Scheduling the appointment was easy. I notified the company I was concerend with the wiring in the house as a hazard. Two men came and performed the initial inspection noting there were some issues. The two men were VERY thourough and took their time testing every switch. They showed me a few small issues and were nice enough to repair a lightswitch in my children's room at no charge. When I asked for the report, they told me they needed to share their findigs with their boss and would get back to me within two weeks. I said that seemed like a long time. They noted the owner had recently had an accident, so they were behind, btu I would get a call with a follow up and full report in two weeks. I have never receivde my report. I have called directly and left a message and have not had a response.

Two gentlemen came, identified themselves and I allowed them to come in. Once t hey came in, they hit the ground running. They worked as a team and started checking and examining the outlets and other electrical things. After that was completed they showed me what they did and explained to me what was out of code and things that will have to be upgraded. However, they explained, their findings will be given to the person in charge of that, and he will go through their findings and he will give me a written paperwork of what I need to repair right now, and what I can delay, and repair at my leisure; so I signed that paperwork. That concluded that portion of the work. The second part of that visit for which I paid the $195. was now timed, and to be completed within an hour. If the work could not be completed within the hour, it was agreed that the price for any overage would be prorated and I will pay that amount also. My immediate complaints were multi-level. Based on my concerns, they repaired kitchen light fixture, which now works. They also were able to now have my lights working going upstairs, and the lights working going downstairs. They also fixed my light fixture outside working again; that's the sensor outside in the back of the property. For now, I'm a happy camper, and I am awaiting the paperwork from the inspection. I was told if I didn't receive that paperwork in two weeks, to give them a call.

I was extremely pleased with BQ's professionalism and excellent work. The electricians completed a complex job to my complete satisfaction. They were extremely friendly and explained carefully everything that they did. They gave me a six hour estimate but were done early. They were extremely neat and even carried their garbage to the curb for me. All of their work was uniformly excellent. I would highly recommend them.

On Thursday, August 28th, The BQ Electric team arrived and did their work. They installed a 150 AMP upgrade including new top & bottom feeders, all copper wire, all PVC conduit, new bypass meter pan, new panel & brakes, etc. They also wired our attic fan and made it more weather resistant, and installed wiring for our new cooktop. They worked in and outside our house. They were courteous, efficient, and cooperative. They kept us informed and verified that they were doing what we requested and explained what we should expect. Mr. Quinn, the proprietor came and in addition to supervising participated in the work. He promised that the work would be done in one day, and his team did just that. They took a little longer than they had anticipated, because they ran into situations due to the construction of the building that they did not anticipate. They resolved the issues and completed the project. They were from the outset careful to cover and protect our property. When finished, they cleaned up; leaving the premise as clean and neat as they found it. We would recommend BQ Electric to anyone. They deserve the highest rating possible. Robert & Gayle Horowitz

BQ Electric and its proprietor Brian Quinn, proved again how capable, efficient, cooperative and effective they can be. He had to add new GFI receptacles on Kitchen walls above new counters & counter top, secure receptacle for new stove top and install new high hats in kitchen. Mr. Quinn scheduled his staff to coordinated with our Kitchen contractor to prepare the outlets so their work would not interfere with the Kitchen re-surfacers, the placement of the new counter top and the setting of the new wall tiles. This required doing what should have been one day?s work on two separate visits. Mr. Quinn?s price was very competitive and his team coordinated their work as required. They set the receptacles properly. Again the construction of the house presented problems that Mr. Quinn?s team resolved without hesitation or complaint. To finish the job in a timely manner that would be convenient to our work schedules, the BQ Team came on a Saturday to install the high hats and finish all the work they agreed to. We do have more electric work that must be done and we will be using BQ Electric to do it. They deserve the highest rating for their excellent workmanship, efficiency, problem solving, clean-up. BQ Electric came quickly. They thoroughly checked my house and found the problem causing loss if power. Billy and James were efficient and clean. They were clear in the explanation of the problem and my options. That was really appreciated. I am scheduled to have them return for other non-related problems. I am very pleased with this service.

I called BQ to update our electrical system based on the reviews on the Angie's list. Brian, the owner came to our house and explained to us what had to be done. He was very professional and the explanation was very clear and we trusted him right away. His crews came in the morning and worked through the whole day, very clean and neat. We are very happy and satisfied with their work. Their professionalism, honesty, transparency and the price are what we like about them. Highly recommend them if you need electrical work for the house.

Called BQ and spoke to Brian about getting an estimate. We set an appointment for the following Saturday. Brian was very professional. He came on time and called me before coming. Brian was very thorough when we walked around my property and he gave me solutions to each of my issues. His estimate was competitive and he actually encouraged me to get other estimates which I did. I will report later after my service is done.

I spoke directly with Brian Quinn, owner of BQ electric and after discussing the work needed he provided an estimate and an available date three days later. I was contacted the night before and again the morning of the scheduled appointment. Brian told me he could have the crew early that day if I was available. Bill and his two man crew arrived on time and completed the work quickly. At that point Bill noted that I had both 20 amp and 15 amp wiring coming off of the circuit and explained to me why this could be dangerous. He and the crew spent an additional 20-30 minutes rewiring the new outlet to attempt to fix the problem. Ultimately he showed me that several of my circuits were wired that way and we discussed various ways to correct the problem. He then called Brian who gave me a quote and we worked out a time for Bill to return next week to rewire the problem circuits. Some might say that Bill was fishing for work, but I don't see it that way. He spent a half hour of unpaid time rewiring my new outlet and he took the time to show me the mixed wiring and explain to me the potential danger. Not only am I satisfied with the work that was done, but I believe that BQ Electric will be making my home a safer place. Thanks, Brian and Bill.

The owner, Brian Quinn, came to our house and explained the work that needed to be done and the reason for doing it. The explanation was clear and the work that was done was exactly as Brian described it. The electricians were extremely courteous and worked very efficiently and very neatly. They brought a new electric line from our basement to the bedroom of our split level house without damaging any of the walls. In the course of installing a light in the attic, one of the electricians discovered that the safety pan under part of the air conditioner was filled with water, indicating a drain blockage. He called the problem to my attention. The AC people removed the blockage the next day. I appreciate the fact that the electrician shared the information because his timely warning helped to prevent water damage to the ceiling. In short, the BQ Electric team went above and beyond my expectations. I plan to use BQ Electric the next time the house requires an electrical repair.
