Orkin Pest Control

The technician was very thorough. He was superb, he goes above and beyond his duty and the price were reasonable.

I have a yearly contract with them. They will call me the day before they come. I don't ever have to call them.

The guy that comes out is nice. I don't have to make appointments, they just do it themselves so it's really convenient.

Flower City Pest (we loved their service) was recently bought by Orkin and they don't seem to have their records under control. We haven't been able to get away from Orkin, in spite of in person contact telling them not to spray our house and calling them a number of times. First, they arrived at our house unannounced and sat in the van in the driveway until my husband told them that we didn't call them. They departed. Later the same day I called them to find out why they had come to our house, and was told there was a mix-up with our account and another person's in a different town. They assured use that they would not be spraying our house. A few days later we found a notice in our door that they had come and sprayed the house. Called them again and they apologized, stating the mix-up with the other customer and that they had received a check from me (not me, but the other people) and thought I'd changed my mind about having the house treated. I asked them to remove us from their system and double-checked to make sure we had never sent them or Flower City a check this year. We hadn't! A few days later I had a piece of snail mail apologizing for the incident. A couple weeks later, we had a check in the mail as a refund of the amount we had never paid them, addressed to me with the wrong town but correct zip code. It's a shock it got here at all! Called AGAIN and they said that they had a check from us that they had to refund because of the mix-up. Again, I assured them we hadn't ever paid them to begin with and that they probably just gave us the $ that the other person had paid them. They insisted they had a check from us, still, and gave us a check # that was in the thousands. I don't write that many checks - numbers are only in the hundreds. Needless to say, we haven't cashed the check and I'm half waiting for them to show up and treat our house again, out of the blue.

The main reason that I use them is that they are so well known. I would continue to their services in the future.
