This father and son team were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and cost effective when installing an electrical outlet and also installing a whole home surge protector in my home. I highly recommend their services.

Steve was very personable and very accommodating. I called him to see if he could do the work today because the newly installed disposal without electric was a nuisance and my wife was getting impatient. He said he would try to fit me in and was able to do so. He was here about an hour and did an excellent job. Wiring was neatly done, the new circuit was clearly marked in the panel box and he was very professional.

He is great, he came right away. I would use him again.

He’s my new electrician and I like him a lot. His name is Steve Nichols. He’s an individual in his company. First of all, his work is fast and neat. He’s extremely competitive price wise. He’s great and courteous. He’s a very nice man.

They were quick and efficient and, after some initial confusion, they quickly got to work and did a great job. Finished it quickly, and everything works well now. No complaints and would definitely use him again.

Called Nichols on short notice, on a Saturday, to repair circuit breaker to allow electric dryer to work. Arrived within 20 minutes, and fixed problem in as much time. Professional, friendly, and knowledgable.

Nichols arrived on time as promised... he analyzed the situation and completed work in a timely manner. Very quick and efficient. He explained what he was doing as he worked. We also had a couple of electrical questions which he answered also. He also determined that we need a new plug for a stereo which we will replace ourselves. Overall positive experience and we will definitely call him again if we ever need an electrician. Highly recommend!

Steve was on time, speedy, and left everything clean.

Steve did an excellent job. He got to my house on time, he was extremely curteous. He offered to take his shoes off before walking through my house but I told him that wasn't necessary. He replaced both light fixtures in about an hour and offered to dispose of the old light fixtures. I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to give me an estimate on replacing a bathroom exhaust fan. That will be the next project I have done.

All aspects of the work were excellent, I was very satisfied with the work on 10/18. The electrician reviewed with me the installation and also gave helpful and detailed answers to my questions. Having been greatly satisfied with the work sone on 10/18 I set an appointment with Nichols Electric for an unrelated electrical problem. On 12/2 Steve Nichols did an outstanding job in trouble shooting and in solving the new problem. At each step he explained what he was doing and how the various issues could be addressed. I appreciated his efforts to educate me so that I would have a better understanding of the system that had been installed years ago and so be able to do some trouble-shooting of my own in the future. The cost of this job was more than fair! I highly recommend Nichols Electric and plan to use the services in the future, confident in my choice. Great professionalism, expertise and customer service.

As always, my experience with Steve was as good as it gets. Steve had the surge protector installed in no time. He then checked out my kitchen light. It has three compact flourescent bulbs one of which has never worked correctly. I had tried replacing it, but had the same experience, so I assumed something was wrong with the socket. Steve tried switching that bulb with one that was working well - something that hadn't occurred to me to try. Of course, it turned out to be a bulb problem and nothing more - just my luck to have had two bad bulbs in a row. There was no mention of any charge for Steve's time checking it out. After that, Steve moved on to the garage where he explained what he would be doing. I asked if he would let me know when he was ready to put in the new 4' bulbs so that I could see how they go in and he did. In fact, I asked if I could try one myself and he let me, as he watch and directed. I wasn't certain whether to replace another similar fixture, but Steve suggested I see if this one fixture provided enough light and he offered to come back another time if I wasn't satisfied. On top of all this, Steve was very nice about being patient as I got my barking dog quiet before I let him in the house. It's always a pleasure dealing with Steve.

I called to hire for work on electrical system in my home and was told that they are too busy to work on older homes anymore.

Our home is a pretty old home and when we started having some issues with lights and outlets becoming non-functional, we were worried that finding the problem could potentially turn into an expensive one. We sent an inquiry to Nichols Electrical giving a summary of our problem. It didn't take more than an hour for Steve to respond to our email. Even though Steve's schedule was loaded, he was willing to stop by on the weekend to take a look at our problem (as it was potentially a hazard). Steve arrived during the time frame given and didn't waste any time getting to the problem. Very efficient and methodical. It took less that 30 minutes for Steve to diagnose and fixed the problem. A big relief!

Overall, it was a very good experience. I appreciated not being charged for the service call. Steve Nichols arrived promptly and acted professionally. He explained the diagnosis and gave us a few things to look for if the problem persists. We definitely plan to call him for electrical work in the future.

Due to a cancellation, Nichols was immediately available for a one hour call and came right over - as they promised over the phone. Steve quickly and efficiently found the problem ( a touchy GFI ) and repaired the problematic switch. He also found that a problem we were having with a floor socket was because it was turned off at thewall switch. ( We recently moved in and had not figured this out) While here he also replaced the faulty switch to the garbage disposal and gave us a reasonable estimate for installing a ceiling fan in our bedroom at a future date. .All this took an efficient 30 - 40 minutes. There were many opportunities to mislead us into costly repairs, but we found Steve to be totally honest, concerned that we could choose among various cost options. He honestly advised us on the appropriate course of action. Time is money. Due to his ability to find the problems very quickly and repair them efficiently, the service charge was minimized. Will I use Nichols again? You bet I will!

Overall had a very positive experience. One of my circuit breakers tripped and I was unable to reset it. I explained the situation to Steve Nichols and he was able to come take a look the same afternoon. He was here on time and was able to determine that the breaker was alright and was able to reset it. Since he did not need to replace or fix anything there was no charge for the visit. I would definately call again if I ever have any electrical issues in the future.

We were called to let us know that work would start 1hr late because of complications in an earlier job. Our job was completed well within the quoted time frame. Quality of work excellent.
