Steve was prompt in returning our call for an estimate in April and came out within three days. The estimate was thorough and sent within a day. Steve and his son completed this large job in 5 hours and were extremely efficient and professional. We will definitely work with him again.

I had a great experience with them. I had a very pleasant experience and I would definitely use them again. They were prompt. The gentleman who came really knew what he was doing. I had made a special request to put it in a different area and that was not a problem whatsoever for them to do that.

We had a dimmer switch that, when we tried to turn it on, sparked and blew the circuit. Having no knowledge of our home's electrical system, we were then afraid to turn on the circuit (which also connected to the bathrooms). I initially called another company, who said they could fit us in a week later. When I called Steve Nichols, he rearranged his schedule to be there that same afternoon and was upfront about the cost. He arrived promptly and completed the job efficiently and professionally, even giving us a choice of light switches that were different prices, so we could make the decision as to which we preferred. He graciously assessed a separate issue and gave us his recommendation about that as well. We were completely satisfied and are relieved to have finally found an electrician we can trust, whom we will call from now on!

Bought in on an Angie's Big Deal because I was dreading replacing the bathroom fan myself. Experience was seamless. Had them make a couple of other small electrical repairs while here. Great experience.

Steve and his son showed up right during the time frame they said they would. They worked very efficiently at what we had discussed on the phone, and he also changed out an extra light switch I had gotten. Everything was cleaned up and ready to go within the hour. He was also able to answer questions about other work I've been thinking about having done as well. Everything looks great and I am very happy with the results. His mind may even been changed about the Pit Bull stereotype as my dog was very happy to have him there :) I will absolutely be calling Steve back if I need any additional work done in the future.

- 3 ceiling lights needed to be put in freshly painted bedrooms. The light switches were there already but were wired to an existing plug instead. He did a spectacular job and was very neat and did not damage or scratch the rooms. - Garage lights needed to be diagnosed and he put in new ballists. - Needed an out door plug put in in place of electric being run to the shed out back. This was not legal in my town and didn't know this until after I bought the house of course. He was able to do this and was very neat.

I found Nichol's Electric on Angie's list. We contacted them to come out and take a look at what we needed and we were provided an estimate. Steve is very professional, organized and responsive to all questions. The work performed was very good. The dryer receptacle was an unplanned fix, we had just moved into the house the day before and found that the plug would not work. My husband contacted Nichol's since they were coming out the next day for the heating and range hood. We were provided an immediate estimate and it was all taken care of very quickly. We will definitely use Nichol's again in the future and recommend them to all our friends.

His son came with Steve to help. While Steve was doing the work outside (installing the new post, ground and meter box, his son was removing the old panels, the circuit breakers and the wiring in the basement). They arrived about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled and finished before the time that Rochester Gas and Electric had said they would be out. Even so, RG&E was late and was delayed an hour, so Steve, his son and I sat around talking while waiting for them. Steve and his son cleaned everything up and surprised me when they put all the trash in one of the cardboard panel boxes and put it in my garbage cans. I didn't have to do anything (except reset all the clocks!).

Scott arrived at 3:30 pm and took a look at the bathroom fan he would be replacing. The fan was in the attic with ducts running to the bathroom. He warned me that cutting through the ceiling to fit the bathroom fan would be messy and to cover/move anything that I didn't want debris to fall on. After completing the work, he swept the floor and the bottom of the shower. There was a minimal amount of wet insulation that had fallen into the shower which took me less than five minutes to clean up. Scott has a dry sense of humor and dealt with the unexpected complications (2nd layer of drywall in the ceiling and original fan being in the attic not in the bathroom ceiling) efficiently. We had water damage from the old fan because moisture was condensing and running back down the vent. Scott was able to position the new fan so that the majority of the water damage is hidden under the fan grill. He also provided the phone number for the drywall repair person Nichols Electric likes to use. Scott was done by 5 pm despite the extra challenges and cleaned up after himself. I also like the fact the the invoice is provided via email in PDF format. We are planning to use Nichols Electrical in the near future.

Arrived on time I had to leave for work , he is very trust worthy, when I got home the basement fuse box was up to date and the area clean. He was able to schedule the job within a few weeks.

He was in and out in less than a day, and I'm thrilled with the work and having him do more.

He gave me exactly what I asked for--a realistic estimate. He did it in a quick and professional manner and satisfactorily answered all my questions.

Took longer to troubleshoot the problem than originally estimated, and the cost increased accordingly. Even with an Angie's list discount, I thought the cost should have been adjusted to be more in line with the original estimate.

I paid a hundred, but it is going to be incorporated into the cost of the new box. I liked that they were quick and efficient. My realtor had used them before and had good things to say. I was very pleased, and I did not have any problem getting a hold of them. From what I can tell, their price is competitive.

It went well. We called Nichols and they answered all our questions. We did not book at that time as we had to order the light and fan. Once we had the items in, we called back and booked an installation date. We were able to book within a week. They arrived ontime, were professional, thorough and involved us during the installation to ensure everything was as we wanted. We had them price out another job while they were here. We will be using them again.

As described above, Steve arrived on time and completed the fan installation very quickly at a reasonable price. The job was neat and performed very well.

Steve was very professional and did exactly what was needed to complete the job in a timely fashion. He came in, was neat, clean and very helpful explaining the work he did when it was complete. I have had several contractors in the past come to do work for me and thus far Steve was one of the best if not the best I have ever dealt with.

They came and installed the equipment. They did a quick job. They were knowledgeable. They were friendly. If I had a need for electrical service I would use them.

The power to our stove stopped working. I read the outstanding reviews and decided to give this company a try. Steve answered the call promptly. He and his son arrived at my house within the half hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the breaker, and even gave me quick estimates for additional electrical work we would like done in the house. All in about a half hour and reasonably priced. It's great to have my stove back and we will definitely have Steve back again. Very professional, quality service.
