He was very caring about my having light all the way into the house. He was neat and clean and wore a mask.

They were prompt, had all necessary parts to finish and very open to questions. They completed the job quickly, left no mess then spent enough time with me showing how it works. The technicians were very polite and respectful.

Did not hire due to extremely high pricing.

Both gentlemen were very professional, courteous and left nothing that had to be cleaned up.

Great - they were able to do it quickly & without issue. Then they checked all of our pipes to see if there were any issues that we weren't aware of. I was also able to ask an electrical question and get a quote, since one of the gentlemen was also an electrician who was cross-training. Very friendly & helpful.

The two gentlemen from Nichols arrived promptly and completed the requested work in a reasonable period of time. I found their work well-done and thorough, and they conducted themselves in a cordial and professional manner.

Replaced shower head and hose. I Went back a day later and was still leaking. Called them back and had to replace another part which was the original place of the leak. Had to pay another charge. Total charge over $600.

Installed outlet with separate circuit in garage; installed pull chain fixture in basement; replaced 4 existing outlets with GFCI outlets for safety. Also performed electrical safety check.

I live in a classic home, which I bought 2 years ago, that has an entirely new electrical system. Nichols came out last year but were not able to repair the electrical to the track lighting, but I paid the $95 charge as they at least tried. I tried to use them again this week to replace two existing sconces with two brand new ones but, that, too didn't work out for the following reasons: * The owner Steve and his president/son Steve told me the the job would cost $270. Not only is this more than what the sconces cost, the son told me the "job is really too small to handle." Furthermore, after much discussion, they revealed their hourly labor charge is $160.00 an hour (BTW, more than our local BMW dealer, my plumber and my computer repair company for my office). Two other electricians told me they would charge $150-$175 to do the work. The topic of their outstanding customer service was used to justify their price. I recounted that I had to track down my electrician from their company (waiting on hold 5 minutes for the agent to answer) and that he arrived at the last minute of the window they promised. I reminded them that I had waited on hold as long once before this week, too. I told them I would give them a third sconce to put up (to make the job a worthwhile endeavor for them) it they could reduce the price by just 9% from $437 to $400. Both father and son refused to make any concession after spending 20 minutes on the phone on these two calls. BTW, this is the first complaint I have written after being on Angie's List for over 12 years. Just bear this in mind before you retain their services.

The technician Bobby was simply great. He took the time to explain everything before performing the work. He arrived on time and worked extremely hard until everything was completed.

I was given a fair estimate and the work was done in a very timely manner by a courteous tech.

Great-Tim found the problem quickly, explained it to me and fixed with my OK. They also offered a full house electrical survey if wanted.

This is my second experience using this company and so glad I called them. Tim was the technician this time and wonderful. He installed a different brand of smoke detector and at the last minute installed my outside light fixture. The on-call service did not return my original call early Monday morning but the owner did. From the answering service to my completed service call only the best customer service. Tim communicated what may have happened, provided suggestions and was very thorough. Again, thank you for the last minute install of an outside light fixture. Each person I interacted with was understanding, professional, followed through and the communication is outstanding via email and text. I sure will use again.

On time. Discussed what had to be done, reviewed pricing and completed the chore quickly. I've used Nichols before and will again if the need arises.

Bobby took the time to explain the work needed and completed, made safety suggestions, and following through with excellent customer service. Because of the hight of the room, and the fragility of the chandelier, this was a challenging but small piece of work for which it is not easy to find volunteers. The Nichols men (Justin in charge) did a fast, clean job, and were responsive to my requests (like going back up there and shortening the cable). This was not my first experience with Nichols, and they are always very satisfying. They also did a free electric house check and pointed a few weaknesses in the system, which I will address.

Justin and Mike were very professional from the time they arrived. They were able to provide an upfront quote for the service and completed the job in a timely manner. At the end of the job, they explained all of the work that was performed on site.

FABULOUS! Justin and Bobby arrived ON TIME (a rarity for contractors these days) and worked tirelessly until the work was completed. They explained everything to me without talking down to me. I couldn’t be more pleased and will DEFINITELY hire Nichols in future!
