AFTER WAITING 6 WEEKS FOR THE SHADES. I NOTICED THAT 3 OF THE 7 SHADES HAD TEARS, ONE PULL CORD WAS HALF THE SIZE OF THE OTHERS (TOO SHORT)AND WHEN THE INSTALLER DEMOSTRATED HOW TP PULL THE SHADES UP & DOWN THE CORD BROKE! AFTER WAITING ANOTHER 6 WEEKS FOR THE 3 REPLACEMENT SHADES,ONE OF THEM HAD A TEAR!! I CALLED THE DECORATOR AT PENNEY'S AND ASKED FOR A REDUCTION IN PRICE, SHE STATED THAT SHE COULD NOT REDUCE THE PRICE. I'M NOW WAITING 6 MORE WEEKS FOR ANOTHER REPLACEMENT SHADE. TO SAY I'M NOT HAPPY WITH PENNEY'S IS A UNDERSTATEMENT. GAIL H.= ROCHESTER, NY

They sent a representative to our house with books of samples and ideas for us to look at at no cost to us. She was very personable and she really tried to match our needs that were very different from their other customers. It took about twelve weeks to get the valences in. When they came, they were not exactly what we had ordered because there was supposed to be a contrast fabric on the back of the pleat and there wasn't. We decided to keep them because we liked the looks of them well enough and we had waited so long that we didn't want to wait any more. Although they were well made, we didn't feel like it was an $1100 job. After the workman came to put them up, there was no follow up from them.
