I am disappointed as I spent thousands of dollars and they were 9 days later getting there than what was expected. They broke some of my things and I am only getting back $314, which I still haven't received and it has been almost 6 months. I had to go through appeals to get the money back. I just settled.

I repeat this - for your own sake, pls use someone else. I reserved with them 2 weeks before my move, paid $50 deposit., and received a confirmation email. On the DAY before our scheduled move, I called just to double confirm the time is 10am. Guess what? They said ops, it is somehow NOT on their schedule. The best they could do was to do the next day, but they have to charge me $100 more. I was like what are you talking about? Asked to talk to the Operations Manager, who was useless and there is nothing he could do. I could not believe what kind of business this is. How could I find another moving company right the day before we move??? They don't care about their customer or in other sense, their own commitment to their customers. If I didn't call the day before we move, we would still be there waiting for them to come to our house!! This is beyond ridculous. I have reported them to BBB. So be aware!! And pls use someone else. They should learn how important it is to keep their commitment or treat their customer in the right way. One more note, I am still fighting to get my deposit back.

I recently moved to Round Rock Texas after retiring from the New York City Police Department. I saw the advertisement for AMSA Certified Movers on Realtor.com and was delighted to discover that such an organization existed. I entered my information after finding a home and began receiving phone calls and emails from AMSA Certified Movers. After interviewing and receiving binding estimates from various company's that found my information from your referral I choose Travel Van Lines Inc. which is also called Certified Movers located at 2 Depot Plaza, Suite 102B, Bedford Hills, NY 10507. Their USDOT#2035938 MC# 714624 NYDOT# 37846 They moved me out of my home on April 28, 2011. After the move I stored my furniture with them for 2 months and delivery was scheduled for 8/12/2011. I had to notify them 2 weeks in advance for delivery. I spoke to Melissa the office rep on 7/15/11 to schedule delivery. She stated that they would delivery within a 7-10 day window from that point. I told her that was not stated and I have two little people with me the requires the stuff they stored. I then spoke to Ofear, the owner of the company one week later who assured me that my furniture would be delivered by the August 12th. I told him if the 13th was better for them that would not be a problem. On Friday August 12th I contacted them to find out what time the delivery would be made. I spoke to Ofear and was told that he was off that day but someone from his office would call me back. Melissa called me back and stated due to a problem I would not have my items until Monday 8/15 or Tuesday 8/16 the latest. On Monday Melissa called back to tell me that I would have my items on Thursday 8/18. I waited all day calling the company to find out the status and no one showed up. The next day I called to see what time delivery would take place and was told that the driver was enroute and would contact me with a time. The driver never called and did not deliver my items until Sunday 8/21. I had to spend money on dinner and breakfast over 1 week because all of my things are stored with them. I also didn't have a iron or beds. I wanted my money back after the way I was treated. Numerous items were damaged. I am still waiting from a response from their claim company. No one called me to try to rectify the situation or provide a reasonable explanation. They have the AMSA(American Moving Storage Association) listed on their brochure stating they were members. When I contacted AMSA to ask for their assistance, I was told their membership was revoked.
