+ -1 moreNoisy Clinton Street was not getting any quieter. I am amazed at how well this product of soundproof windows delivered. When I first called, I was given honest advice and various options. I appreciated that very much. Once installation was complete the change was immediate!
Description of Work: I had 80% soundproof windows installed in my bedroom. First, contractor came to take measurements. Then custom order was placed. In 6 weeks, windows were all installed in one afternoon.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I live next to a hospital dialysis center / med school dorm, and we are constantly being awakened by the back-up beeping from ambulette vehicles every morning at 5:00am, or by drunk and loud med school students late at night. So we decided to invest in sound-proof windows. We compared these windows w/ another sound-proof window company. The prices were close, but CityQuiet was slightly cheaper. Additionally, one of our neighbors has the sound-proof CitiQuiet windows in their bedroom, and we were amazed at how quiet it was (while looking at delivery trucks out of the window and a barking dog - which we could not hear). The installers arrived around 15 minutes late, but they were very professional, and they installed all 3 windows within an hour. They caulked around each window, and cleaned up before leaving. While the noise has not been completely elliminated, it's at least quiet enough to allow us to sleep through. The low-pitch bass sounds are virtually gone, but the high-pitched sounds are still slightly audible. It's still a huge improvement, and we sleep better.
Description of Work: Installed 3 interior sound-proof double-hung windows in front of my existing windows.

Their estimate was a little confusing and it wasn't as clear. I was very happy with the company that I went with.

Description of Work: Citiquiet installs soundproofing (or sound controlling) windows over existing windows. I had a problem with outside noise at night interfering with sleep...had a window installed to control for sound and it works very well. Service was prompt and professional. These windows cost a good amount but are worth it for the noise control they provide.

Description of Work: Mark Cohen of Citiquiet came to our apt on Feb 24th and gave us an estimate to install Citiquiet windows on all our windows. His quote included the 10%discount for being an Angies list member though you could have probably bargained for a discount if you weren't a member. Mark scheduled a convenient early morning appt before work. He explained in detail how the windows were constructed and gave us options for a small window we had in the living room. He was very knowledgable about the product. He told us it would take 6-8 for the windows to be made which was pretty much on target. We were very happy with the installers although after they left I found they had left finger prints on the inside of the interior windows that I couldn't reach to clean. So I called them up and they were very appologetic and we scheduled someone to come and clean the windows. I was very satisfied with their services and I am now living in peace and quiet. I can't believe I waited so long to get them.

Description of Work: called citiquiet for appt. a sales professional set up appt. for someone to come to my apt. they were very knowledgeable,measured ,educated us .about the window and how it reduces the noise .we were very impressed and decided to go with the company..my husband and I could not sleep through the nite because of the nyc noise in the street; but now we are so happy with our new windows and sleep in peace and quiet! now we are going to do the living room too!
