JIMMYS SAME DAY APPLIANCE SVC

One star is even being nice as I was disrespected and cursed at by the OWNER. Had a servicing scheduled through Lowe's and they no showed. Their service person called and I returned their call and they hung up and never called back. I call the following day and they insist that they called and instead of being professional and rescheduling the service, I was called an 'a******' and hung up the phone. Highly unprofessional and no one should give their business to these disgusting people.

Avoid jimmy’s appliance service at all costs! He made an appointment to fix my ac and told me he’ll be here between 10-1. However, he didn’t show up by 1 pm so I started calling to wonder if he was going to show up at all (see past reviews to understand his trend). Then he texts me saying he should be here by 3:30. I was like ok, he might be running a bit behind. But then at 3:30 he calls and says he’s not coming (because apparently I was harassing him). It sounded like he hasn’t even left yet. Super unprofessional, so rude, and likes to make appointments for fun that he can’t keep. I’m literally crying because it’s hot and my ac is not fixed.

The service was awful they refused to come to Yonkers.

Jimmy Same Day are committed to solving the problem till the end. He worked on my built-in microwave, which many repair outfits would not do. He took the time to wait for my control board to be refurbished which was blown by another repair person. He knew exactly what the initial solution should have been. All parts ordered, he put that thing back together and it runs perfectly now.

We had to have them come out several times to fix the dryer and eventually they stopped responding to us and never fixed our dryer. I don't understand how they have A average reviews at all based on their poor service, responsiveness and most of all professionalism. I would discourage anyone from using them.

The work was efficient but a little bit more expensive. He was very bright, friendly and funny.

This service took two calls, because the first call diagnosed the need for two parts, including the motor that raises and lowers the exhaust. It took a week or so to get the parts. Anthony, the service man, did a thorough and professional job. THe price was fair. We noticed after he left that there are two sticks wedged under the Thermador that either shouldn't be there, or should have been cut so that do not protrude with shar edges on the floor of the cabinet underneath the stove.

Needed the washing machine fixed. It is only a couple of years old but was leaking. I don't know if they do same day in reality but I didn't ask. It wasn't really an emergency. They came, didn't have a part. Ordered it. Returned. All done. It wasn't cheap but I priced it elsewhere and it is comparable so I guess fair.

They didn’t show up the same day but they did answer the call the same day which is how they justify their name as “Jimmy’s Same Day Appliance.” They showed up on time for the appointment, seemed reasonable in their approach, completed the job and charged a fee that is usual for most providers of this service. I would use them again.

Our gas range had an electrical short which started a small fire. It was put out quickly and there was no damage, other than to the range ignition switches. I called about 10 service contractors in our area authorized by Maytag and Jimmy's Same Day was able to give me the earliest appointment (I called on a Saturday and got an appointment for Tuesday - the best the others could do was Thursday). At first I was a little put off because Jimmy was a little blunt and gruff on the phone. But I kept the appointment because I wanted the range fixed as soon as possible, and Maytag was going to be paying for it (due to the fire/safety issue, they paid for the repair even though it was no longer under warranty). On Tuesday Anthony, the service guy, showed up exactly within the 2 hour window they gave us. He quickly diagnosed the issue, and was polite and friendly. He helped me figure out what I needed to get from Maytag to get them to cover the cost (an authorization code), and asked me to be sure I got it in writing because Maytag sometimes doesn't fax it to them like they should and he didn't want me to have to pay for the service and then deal with Maytag to get reimbursed (which I would have had to do if they didn't have an authorization code on the day they fixed the range). He didn't have the required part with him that day, so he said he would need to come back. He said if they had it in their warehouse, he could come back as soon as their next available appointment - and if they had to order it it would only take 2-3 days to get. Sure enough, they called the morning of the following day to tell me they had the part and asked if Anthony could come that day. He showed up a little after the window he gave me, BUT he called and told me he was running late so I was ok with that. He fixed the range quickly, and a day before the earliest appointment I was able to get with the other guys. I can't speak to their price, because I never saw what they charged, but I was pleased with all other aspects of their service and would use them again.

Reasonably smooth job- Had used them before for dishwasher repair. Appeared on time. Previous to appointment has asked for exact model and year of hood so as to obtain part which was efficient

Have used his service 3 times. Excellent - returns phone calls quickly and does the job at a fair price. On one occasion when the repair didn't hold up, he came right back out and fixed the problem again. This had been the first time I had used his service, and I was sure I wouldn't hear back...I was impressed when he responded right away. Also gave us recommendations for new appliance purchases for our new home based on his repair experience with different brands.

Call was made on 12/30, repair visit was scheduled for 1/2 between 11:00 and 3:00. Jimmy arrived at 1:30 or so and was done with the repair made in 30 minutes. Parts were on the truck and the whole process was completed without a hitch. I would have preferred spending less, but how can I complain since the repair was made the first visit with repair stock in the truck.

THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT. WHEN I CALLED THEY WERE MOVE THAN HAPPY TO COME AND REPAIR MY STOVE THE SAME DAY. HE WAS ABLE TO FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THERE DID NOT SEEM TO BE ANY NEGATIVE FEELINGS ABOUT IT. IT WAS POSITIVE. IT WAS FIXED IN A TIMELY WAY. IT HAS NOT BROKEN DOWN YET. THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED, SO WHATEVER THEY DID WAS WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.
