Excellent service,professional company to work with

Being a military officer, I've moved over 20 times in 32-years. Ted--the owner/operator of Direct Moving and Storage has moved me 3 times: ON TIME, NO DAMAGES, professional, hard working. Of my 20 moves--he's the best I've seen. You might find cheaper movers--but you won't find any better service.

Ted and his crew did a great job with my move. All items arrived undamaged and were placed exactly where requested. Definitely a stress free move. Price was also fair.

Excellent. Direct moving were on time, courteous neatly presented and well dressed. Also went over procedure of move and took good care of our belongings from beginning to the end. Would not move with anyone else. Direct Moving. Have referred them to family and friends who have also always been happy. I have been a customer of Direct Moving for 15 years.

Took extra extra care of my newly redone hardwood floors. DMS was extremely professional, courteous and on time. I would definitely recommend them to others considering moving.

Direct moving arrived promptly and took great care in loading my belongings to and unloading them from his truck. Everything was delivered on time and undamaged. We were very satisfied with their prompt and courteous service. I would gladly recommend their services..

In the beginning, the contact (Todd) was very professional, and courteous. First stage of move was very professional, and the team made us very comfortable. Professional, clean, and structured move. Contact was changed to someone else (Ted), who was very hostile and aggressive. Storage bills would not arrive, and be followed by angered phone calls. Once bills arrived though, our prompt payment subdued calls. 2nd stage move was awful. Ted was extremely hostile, and aggressive, and not at all comforting to work with. Repeated threats that they would charge more due to date changes and move-day phone conversation that was overly aggressive. I have to credit the actual movers though. They worked hard, were very professional and clean, and worked to ensure nothing was harmed during transit or the packing / unpacking. The backoffice was one part that ruined the experience, and during a move (which is a very stressful time in itself)... who wants some random aggressive person yelling at you???

Direct came and gave a very accurate and competitive estimate. They arrived on time. They took great care to wrap up all my furniture and even provided extra wardrobe boxes for free when I ran out during the move. They completed the job on time and everything was put into my new home where I wanted it. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

They were horrendous. One of the movers actually cussed me out and used the "F" word in front of my child to me because he was hungry and I didn t have any food because I was moving. He also made a racial slur. They were awful from top to bottom, start to finish. They were just horrible to deal with. They spent about 15 hours, which was 3 times longer than what the estimate was for. They doubled the price and wanted cash before they would deliver my stuff. At this time I was 8 months pregnant, hormonal and crying because they were so bad to deal with. We had to get the police involved because they would not deliver our stuff. I had a signed contract but they wanted an extra 1500 dollars in cash before they would unload the truck, even though I had given them 1900 dollars in certified checks that they had asked for originally. They took so long to pack us up and move us out, that our neighbor in the apartment building asked me why the movers were being so friendly to all the children in the neighborhood. I told my neighbor it was because they thought they were getting paid by the hour. Every neighbor of mine was asking why they were so friendly to everyone. I ended up packing half of the boxes myself because they were so slow. When the police got involved they bargained them down to $3000. It was probably the worse experience I have ever had with any company.
