+ 1 moreWe were extremely happy with the high quality painting work done by Nathaniel and his brother. Overall it was a great experience working with them: responsive to our questions and ideas (all via email), reliably followed the schedule we had agreed to and -- perhaps most importantly -- quoted and charged us a very fair price. We were given significantly higher estimates from other painting contractors (the highest estimate was 6 times the price charged by DeBenedette). This experience reinforced the fact that price is not always a good predictor of quality of work, particularly on the East End.
Description of Work: Stained exterior of cedar shingle house (including prep/powerwashing, etc.); stained a second floor deck + powerwashed a brick patio; repaired and painted a small area of interior wall/ceiling damaged by a water leak

+ 0 moreTwo local brothers who both attended college 10-15 years ago but liked the skill and handi-craft work they are doing. Our wooden front porch (about 300 sq ft) needed sanding and repainting (2 coats) which they did using the Sherwin -Williams Arbor-Coat product. The removed the doors for painting as well and then came back two weeks later and did our interior tile floors and the exterior basement door. Overall extremely clean and they evidently get along well as brothers.
Description of Work: Sanded and refinished front porch floor and interior and exterior doors. Also completely sanded ceramic tile floor (approx 800 sq ft) and applied two coats of polyurethane. Repainted exterior Bilco steel basement entrance doors.
