My husband called Jim Reitter, owner of All Season Climate Control the saturday afternoon before Christmas; when he realized our hot water heater was in a fatal state. Jim confirmed it was most likely not salvageable and said he would be over first thing Monday after procuring the right size and type of water heater. Good to his word, Jim showed up before 10 am with our new water heater in tow. He went to the basement and while catching up on family news, looked over the other heater, declared it deceased and proceeded to drain and disconnect the water heater. While the old heater drained Jim brought in the new heater and set it up on small blocks, something new from the last water heater he installed 13 years ago. This apparently keeps moisture from building up underneath the heater and rusting the tank. Eventually, I made my way to the basement to get some things and chatted with Jim while he worked away. I asked a few questions which he kindly answered. He has a great sense of humor and an inordinate amount of patience. As he began reconnecting the main electric source to the hot water heater, he encountered a problem with the wires in the existing line. Maintaining a calm and patient manner, he continued to chat about common topics . Eventually the problem was resolved and Jim took away our old hot water heater. Later, I returned to the basement to do laundry and found Jim had cleaned everything up, no rust, no piles of "stuff" to pick up, no pieces of wires or metal lying about. I was thrilled. He presented us with our bill, chatted a bit about his business, gave us a few references for other work we want to eventually do and off he went.
Description of Work: Jim Reitter, Owner of All Season Climate Control arrived the day before Christmas with a new electric hot water heater he was able to procure for us during the holiday season. He took a look at the heater, confirmed it was dead as he suspected in the initial phone call Saturday. He disconnected and the drained the old tank, removed it and brought in a new one. He hooked that tank up, addressed some minor electrical issues that came up during installation and then turned the water and electric back on to provide a functional hot water heater. `
