+ 1 moreDon't fall for the free pad and installation deals out there. He explained that it's the final price that matters, anyone can spin the numbers to deceive people.
Description of Work: Hardwood flooring done beautifully! Vinyl in kitchen put down a high grade vinyl he had on a deal in stock, and leveled the kitchen area for it. No one else was able to figure out how to level the room! Great deal on the carpets in the bedroom. Don't look for anything you have to order from any other store because what he has in stock is wayyy better of a deal than anyone in the area and he is a nice honest professional guy that also gives great installation.

+ -1 moreIn researching the linoleum (vinyl) chosen, we discovered that retail, it was considered a close-out and was on sale for $5.99 /sq. yd.The estimator and owner of this company tried to tell us that a) a sub-floor would be required, that b) moving the appliances and toilet should be done by them and not someone who was and quot;inexperiencedand quot;, c) that the baseboard would have to be removed. His estimate for the job came back at $3,375--or more aptly, about $20.00 /sq. yd, or nearly $7 /sq.ft. In sum, preposterous.
Description of Work: We required an estimate to install app. 495 sq. ft. of linoleum in an area already covered with fiberglass tile, or carpet over plywood. The carpet would have had to be removed (app. 150 sq.ft.), and the baseboard trimmed in all rooms, as well as doorways. Metlas would have to replaced in four doorways.The advertised install price was $4.10 /sq. ft.
