They had me buying a door in 2005 and since then I've had service on door to get a new track I think. There was a warranty and it has expired but there was a big black streak in the middle of my garage door. I had the door painted and meticulously scraped for $700 in the past. I inspected the mechanism after I saw the big streak an found out that it was coming from the garage door track. But it was in perfect condition mechanically and everything, however, it has totally ruined the front of my door. The metal isn't rusted or anything but it was spray painted black from the factory and so it began rubbing and shaving. It smears almost like putting your finger on charcoal. So I called them and told them about it and I thought they would report a factory recall and she finished my sentence an knows that there is a black streak in the middle of my door. So I asked her how she knew and she said that other people have called and complained about it here and there and it will cost $100 to come out and look at it. I told her I know what is wrong with it. She said it will be $100 to replace the track. She wouldn't reason with me she spoke over me she was very rude and she said all the other places are like that. I could have told her anything and she would still tell me I needed to make a service call. I asked to speak to the owner and she said "No I'm the one in charge I'm the one you speak to." I told her I would report her to the better business bureau. It wasn't rusting or anything it was just that the black paint is falling off.

The salesman Wayne was great, not too pushy, and answered all of our questions. Installer was on time, and hauled away the old door. I was very pleased with the easy process and great door.

Installer knew exactly what he was doing. Removed an old outdated opener and installed the new opener in approximately 30 minutes. Everything was installed perfectly. Job quality was excellent. The opener is great. Top notch. Very happy.

I went to the showroom to choose which door I wanted.The door was not in stock (2 car garage) so it took 2-3 weeks to get. I chose a mid-level door which is very nice and looks absolutely beautiful. I opted for the extra hardware on the door and was glad that I did. A great investment!

They handled the estimate and sale well . They arrived on schedule and did the installation . There have been no problems .

I was really happy with Hamburg Overhead doors. I called them because the spring on my garage door broke and asked if they would come out to repair it, and the woman on the phone put me on the schedule for the very next morning. She quoted me $175 over the phone, and said they would call me if they got to the house and saw any suprises that might cost more $. She also told me about a coupon they had online for 10% that she would apply for me. I thought that was very nice of her. I was very happy with their repair service and will keep them in mind when it comes time to replace the door or hardware

I've had good luck with them. They did a nice job. They were nice people and they came right away on the same day.

Had a garage door and opener installed June 30, 2011. Installers used old wiring and left new wiring for some reason. Said this was common practice. One of the bulbs put in the opener was burned out. I was told I could just repalace it myself. In September 2011, I had the bottom rubber seal replaced due to the fact a mouse chewed a hole in it. Installer struggled and was unable to install the seal without my help. After install, he trimmed the excess seal and "short trimmed" it so it did not extend the full length of the door. After several complaints, the manager, agreed to send the installer back to re-install a new seal. Once again he struggled and in the process, asked for my help and badly dented the metal garage door runners in several places. I complained but the complaints were dismissed by Hamburg Overhead Door management. Ultimately, the seal was not installed correctly and was installed with a twist. I fixed it myself to avoid a pricey service call despite the fact the door was still under warranty. Besides, after attempting several times to get them to fix it, I finally gave up.The last straw was when a service call was scheduled to once again replace the bottom seal. I took the day off from work to stay home and they cancelled due to other appointments which ran longer than anticipated. No regrets or concern on behalf of me, the customer. I was told to reschedule. After useless discussions with management, they said nothing was wrong and I was being unreasonable and they were "doing me a favor" by even coming out to look at it. In any event, management is terrible, service is terrible and their total attitude towards customer service is terrible. Once sales takes the order, service and management cannot deliver. This company may be big but they lack basic customer service and follow-up skills. There are better alternatives.

Went very well after scheduling issue resolved. They missed first day and then late the second one. When I called, they said he would be on the way. He arrived late. He said I probably was not remembered until I called the 2nd time and then asked him to get right there which he just couldn't due to other jobs. However, he did a great joy in a short time and I would use them again, reminding them to keep me in the loop!

I had scheduled an appointment to have a door opener installed on Friday April 30th. They called the day before to confirm my appointment & the time window. Several hours after the time window had ended, I called them to ask where they were. It was apparent that the person I was speaking with had no clue that I had an appointment. Someone else came on the line after I was put on hold & they said that they had missed the appointment. They didn't even bother to say they were sorry. When I asked why they missed the appointment, she really didn't have an answer... she said it just got lost in the shuffle. I told her that someone had called the day before to confirm my appointment, so I didn't understand how it got "lost in the shuffle". She then admitted that her technician was actually on my street doing other service calls for the building contractor, so he must have just thought he was only doing work for the contractor & when his work with him was done he must have left. In disgust I asked if they could come out Saturday or Monday to install the opener. She said no...that those days were the only ones that wouldn't work for them (but she did finally say she was sorry after that). I was stunned that they would just miss my appointment, inconveniencing me, & then be completely unwilling to inconvenience themselves to make it right with me. I told her to come out whenever it was "convenient for them". She then offered to give me a free keypad for my trouble. I told her that I was aware of the coupon that they had on their website for anyone to print out & use, so how was that doing me any favors. Surprised at my reluctance to accept their lame offer, she then offered to give me another remote for free (probably a $10 expense to them). I said fine. We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, but I called another garage door company & they came out in a few hours & installed the same door opener for just a few dollars more. I purposely did this to waste Hamburg overhead door's time. When their tech showed up on Tuesday I was more than happy to tell them that the work had already been done. They then sent me a bill for $75 for the missed appointment. I called them & told them of my ordeal & said they would not be receiving a dime from me. They said to disregard the bill, but then a week later another bill came in the mail, causing me to again have to call them & straighten things out. I ended going with Raynor Doors in West Seneca. They were great!

1) Arrived at my home 2) Technician had to devise a plan on getting the old door down. 3) Once old door was down, I went into garage to organize stuff out of tech's way. 4) Assembled new track and door. 5)Attached new door to existing electric opener. 6) Paid remainder balance. 7) New, fresh, working door installed!

They did a great job for me. The technician was very fast. He took down two doors and installed two new ones. I was pleasantly surprised that he got this job done in four years. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

Salesman didn't offer many options, installer said I could have gotten a better door for a few more dollars. Installer was on time, friendly & did fine work.

Quick response and good service. I had two garage doors repaired, the technician was quick and professional, everything works great now. He also reminded me to use the 5% coupon from the phone book.

Sales department was quick to respond. Sales persons were knowledgeable and helpful. Installers were prompt and cleaned up well afterwords. Installation was sensitive to my particular needs and desires. Job was very well done, with no problems since. In my experience there are not many companies that are this good, and they are worth the small premium price.

It was fine. We called them and they came, which did not take them long. The guy that came was nice and knowledgeable. It didn't take him long to do the job.

Hamburg Overhead Door Incorporated came right away when my garage door broke. They were professional and neat, but it took them three times to come and finally get it done right. This was rather inconvenient. The door does work fine now.

When our old garage door(from builder)broke we called Hamburg Garage Door as we had dealt with them some years back at our previous residence. At no cost they sent Frank Sowa(their rep)right away to make a determination as to whether old door could be fixed or if new one was necessary. He pointed out severe cracks in door & explained why it fell off roller, so it was obvious we needed a new door. He helped us get door rest of way up, get car out then bring door back down securing it. He then explained different types of doors in brochure & we decided on one. He said they would be able to install it in 2 weeks. The next day they found they had a cancellation & called us to say it could be done the next week. We were delighted. The installer came on time, was friendly and professional. He explained the procedure, went to work, and completed it within 2 hrs. He packed old door in his truck & cleaned up any debris. He had us try new door & answered any questions. We are very satisfied.

Our garage door would not open and close, except manually. The repairman arrived within two hours of our call. He diagnosed the cause of the problem immediately and fixed it quickly. He was friendly and courteous.

I was pleased with Hamburg Overhead Door. They were on time, and very courteous the whole time that they were at my house. I would definitely hire them again if I needed anything done with my garage door.

The Hamburg Overhead Door Co. workers were clean, professional and personable. They arrived early, which is nice, and they left no mess -- it looked like no one had been here. Best of all, the door looks great.

Hamburg Overhead Door did a great job working on our door. They came out the next day and did the work in a very timely manner. They picked up after themselves very well, and all in all, they are a great company.
