He left an extremely large mess and I had to clean up after him. He left the job incomplete and I have tried to contact him to come and finish the job. I thought he would come back to do one last paint over, but he did not. I called him twice last week and he has not responded since then. Basically, I paid him in advance and he did not finish the job.

We did not leave a mess as stated by the customer. Customer was advised prior to start of the possible dust involved with drywall patching. A plastic barrier was hung to conceal the repair area from the rest of the house. All dust was vacuumed and/or wiped down. Customer seemed uneasy with the process of a remodel type of project, even though the process was explained prior to start. We applied three coats of ceiling paint when one coat was contracted. we painted the entire ceiling of the kitchen and the adjacent hallway. This customer was happy at the time we completed the job. The contract was completed, and the final payment was paid by the customer when we left. The customer did call twice, and we did respond many times. The customer was out of town frequently, at another residence, so we left a message for her. The customer mentioned on a message that the 2nd floor tub drain may still be leaking (the reason for the ceiling patch). The plumbing repair was completed by a different contractor (plumber). The last message we left for her was to call plumber for a check of the tub, to ensure it is not still leaking. We have not heard from the customer since, and are responding to the post on Angies list now.

Absolutely top-rate. CRM did an amazingly good job for me all around. Ken explained the problems in detail when quoting the job. On project day, each member of the crew arrived punctually at 8:30 AM. Upon opening the wall, we discovered that the water infiltration had caused more damage than we'd anticipated. Ken again explained my options in clear technical detail, enabling me to make the best, most informed decision. I'm already planning more remodeling projects and will call CRM back to help me with them. I can't say enough good things about them.
Description of Work: CRM repaired a previous contractor's botched job of installing a replacement window. CRM removed rotted wood, crumbling drywall, and wet, ant-infested insulation; removed and retained the window and siding; completely rebuilt the window casement; reinsulated; replaced the window; re-drywalled, and replaced the siding. They also repaired miscellaneous drywall holes in other rooms. CRM performed the lion's share of this work quickly and efficiently, in a single day.
