After I'd been scammed by and waited for another 'company' that advertised emergency service within 30 minutes, and never showed, I called the Center for Security. The person who answered the phone was professional, pleasant, and courteous. They sent Chris, who arrived in less than 30 minutes, and was sympathetic, good-natured, and good at what he does. He was able to extract the end of a key that had broken off in the deadbolt lock a couple of years ago and duplicate that to make a brand new key that worked on the first try. He also made some extra keys, since I'd lost the hidden key set that should have let me in in the first place. He patiently answered questions about possible home lock replacement/keying, & a problem with one auto key fob, and didn't try to upsell the services. They've just earned themselves a new customer.

The locksmith came when scheduled and performed the job in a pleasant and professional manner. They were less expensive and able to provide the service sooner than other local locksmiths I contacted.

Gave them a call last week and asked if it's possible that all the knob locks and deadbolts in our new home could be opened with a single key. Yup. The earliest they could schedule me was two days later. We set it up for and quot;sometime after noonand quot; and they said the guy would call a half hour before he arrived and... he actually did! I handed him the envelope of keys that we'd been given by the previous owners, and went back to watching So You Think You Can Dance while the guy did his thing. Maybe an hour later, he handed me four copies of a single key and encouraged me to confirm they worked while he made up the bill. According to the invoice, he ended up rekeying five locks and replacing two doorknobs. My only regret is that I'd handed him an envelope full of keys, some of which were for random other locks around the house (a bedroom, the big garage door), and it seems those are all now gone. I wish I'd thought that through, and also wish he had given me back all my keys, even if most of them were now replaced. He did, however, leave me the two doorknobs he'd replaced... though without the keys.

I called today at 10:30AM, asked how much it would cost to redue 2 door locks on my new house and put in bolt locks, price was great, he was here is 10 mins. and completed work.
