It has been a dream of mine to have a clean, dry basement to build my model railroad in. When we bought our house, it had a dry basement but the tall, exposed ceiling allowed a lot of dirt and dust to filter down on whomever and whatever was beneath it. For several years I have tried to obtain quotes from contractors to install a suspended ceiling but none agreed with my vision: some wanted to do a full basement remodel, some were too busy to fit in a small job like mine, and some never responded to my emails and calls. Jon at CDIC took the time to meet with me initially and find out exactly what I was looking for and what my budget would allow. Lighting was an important aspect to the ceiling, as I wanted lights that would allow for different brightness levels depending on whether I was going for general room lighting or specific model railroad lighting. He talked with me about various options and prices, and then we agreed upon a time and budget. While he originally quoted me three days to do the job, it actually went much quicker even though access to required building materials was problematic because of the recent pandemic. However, he was able to source comparable materials (at his own extra cost) and brought on extra manpower (again, at his cost) to keep the schedule. At the same time, he did a couple of extra odd-jobs around our house while he was here without issue. He always showed up on time, kept in constant communication with me whenever problems with the job or questions came up, and finished early. The finished ceiling is absolutely wonderful. In fact, we are planning on having him come back to do some more jobs for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Johnathon Ryan is a man of his word, showed up on time and didn't hesitate beginng work and followed up with every single thing we discussed and agreed upon without any hesitation whatsoever. Jonathan and his team did an excellent job remodeling our basement. Jonathan went above and beyond to make the remodel process as smooth as possible. Jonathan is a people pleaser and will do whatever it takes to make sure that his customers are 100% satisfied. The pricing was very reasonable and Jonathan was able to createvely stick to the budget even when remodeling issues arose. The team did an awesome job with sticking to the original time proposal. The whole team was very pleasant to work with. Definitely will be inviting Capital District Interior Contracting back for future remodeling/renovations.

Jonathan and team did a great job for us. We had a lot of drywall to replace after some water damage. Jonathan was very responsive and flexible in his approach, focused on making sure things were done the way we wanted them.

Ruined my wood floor in the bedroom. Did not get the stain right, cut the flooring out. Could not find wood flooring to match?? This was done the beginning of February. My floor is a mess. No response from Jonathon the owner when I asked for help. Wish I could post a picture. I now have to pay another hopefully more reliable contractor to finish it. Do not let this contractor touch your floors! I would give zero stars if the system would let me. Also put fans in. Did ok inside but never completed the venting out. They are venting in the attic.

Jonathan and his crew were terrific to work with. They were creative problem solvers as we threw a few curve balls at them. The final product looks great, they were personable yet efficient. We will be keeping Jonathan’s phone number where we can easily find it!

Jonathan and his workers were very thorough, patient , and flexible throughout the process. There were some unexpected snags and they were dealt with in a very professional manner and turned out well as a result of their problem solving skills. I would definitely recommend them. I got a quote from him and they started the job the same day and it was finished within a few days. The work was done phenomenally and I could not be happier with the outcome! It looks great. Jonathan responded to my request quickly. It was something that needed needed immediate attention since my ceiling had fallen down. Jonathan was very friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Jonathan and his crew did an excellent job and I would use him again for future projects.

I had Capital District Interior Contracting repair my ceiling after damage from a leaking roof. They did a fantastic job! They were very reliable and responsive! They always made sure they cleaned everything up at the end of the day. You would never have known they were there! I would definitely recommend them and use them again!

Jonathan is a nice man but not a good business man. He would say that he would be on the job on a certain day and then call to say they wouldn't be coming. He said that they could work on weekends and then not come and say that they don't work on weekends. He asked for money several times for supplies and to top it off the work was shoddy. I cut my losses and ended it with the job not finished.
