It was a very good job. It was a fair price because we had gotten estimates from other companies. He did a good job. In fact, he did a little bit more than the other companies were going to do.

I think he is absolutely terrific. Before he did his work he spoke to my neighbor to make sure she was okay because a couple of the trees he was trimming over my property were actually on hers. She hired him as well after she met him. He is a good guy, his prices are great. It was $500 for everything he did for me. I had gotten a couple of other estimates. I just found him very honest and forthcoming about what he was going to do. So of all the people that I did call, and I got three estimates, he was the least expensive and he was the one I had the most confidence in. He had three people with him, there were four altogether. I don't have a great relationship with my immediate neighbor because she has outdoor lights that shine right into my windows and she won't move them and she actually is kind of a grumpy person and the last time I tried to make nice with her, she slammed her car door and she didn't even look at me and walked into the house. I told him this. He asked me to get her permission and I said, "I don't think I can to that." So he said, "Well don't worry about it." He went over there and rang her bell and she didn't answer the door at first, but they started cutting and then she came out and he went over and he talked to her for a while. She hired him to trim a couple of her trees well. He is just the nicest person you would want to meet. I got lucky. I got Angie's List and I did my homework.

The owner came to give me an estimate and was courteous and professional. Very knowledgeable. Agreed on a price to perform years work. Set a date to have work done. He was unable to do the work on the first date we picked but he did come the next time he told me he would. His prices were fair and not more than the original quote. Performed the work in a day and did a great job. Couldn't ask for more than that.

It all started not the way I expected based on the Angie's list reviews. I called for the estimate for the trimming of several large trees. Henry offered to come the next day at 5:15p.m. I said that I had an appointment with a pest control company at that time and would like to meet him later or on another day. Henry insisted on coming at 5:15, just because he was planning to be in the area on that day and at that time, and it was convenient for him. I agreed, even though it was not convenient for me. He called around 5:30p.m and said that he was running late and will meet me in 15 minutes. He never showed up and never called. I understand that things happen. But such complete disregard for the client's time and lack of common courtesy is shocking, considering Angie's list recommendations and ratings. (though I believe there was another F rating there).

Henry was great in every aspect of the job. They really provided a comprehensive service. A job well done and I'll be hiring him in the future!

Did not use - thought this a Cape Cod based company. they were very pleasant to deal with and understood that I was confused on how to use the Angie's list website.

Montgomery Tree Service did a terrific job. Henry came shortly after I called to provide an estimate. They arrived on time the day scheduled for the job, worked continuously, and then cleaned up the yard. I am very pleased with their work. I will certainly use them again.

We recently purchased a Colonial (2-story) that had 2 large maples hanging over our roof by a fair amount. That prompted us to scour Angie?s list for tree service. Henry Montgomery has excellent reviews & he?s local?so he was our 1st choice. Henry personally came to the property to assess the situation and strongly suggested that we remove those 2 large maples entirely. There was also a grove of overgrown brush & un-pruned trees that needed some expert attention. Lastly, we had a rough-looking Austrian pine that he identified as having an aphid infestation as well as 2 spruces that were on their last leg. We could immediately tell that Henry was very knowledgeable and takes great pride in his work?as well as the satisfaction of his customers! We scheduled the work and Henry and his team (3 other guys) were prompt and got right to work. Within minutes, Henry was swinging a small chain saw cleaning-up the front of the property, another was scaling the big maple overhanging the house. By the end of the day, they removed about 7 large trees, a burning bush and cleaned things up beautifully. He was back 2 days later to grind-down the stumps, fill the holes & overseed! We ( including my neighbors) couldn?t be happier with the results! I'm amazed that with all of this work, they did ZERO damage to my lawn! Regarding those 2 large maples, I was reluctant to remove the largest one as it appeared to be a healthy, mature tree. Henry insisted and once it was down we saw that the top was dead & the trunk was hollow! ?This is why you call-in the experts! Thanks Henry!

Mr. Montgomery and his staff were amazing. There were at least 15 trees removed, stump grounded, Other trees were evaluated and either removed and/or trimmed. He did what we contracted him to do and when his work was done, you would have never known they were there. We were so pleased with work he had done in the past and then after this rather large job, we would never use anyone else. Can't begin to explain how happy we are!

Mr Montgomery is a true professional. He showed up and gave me a fair and reasonable estimate ahead of time. We agreed upon a date to perform cutting low hanging branches that were laying on top of a shed and touching my house. He also removed an old tree stump, ground it out and seeded the area for the agreed on price. All branches were cut on one day and a few days later he came to finish the stump. No mess left in my yard at all. Excellent work and fair price. Would use again.

Mr. Montgomery really went the extra mile to provide great customer service to us at a most fair price, and I cannot praise enough how well this entire job was done. This owner was very clear and concise about how he would approach the job and the details I needed to know exactly what to expect. He and his team were prompt and very professional. Their preparation of ensuring my lawn was not sacrificed or compromised was excellent. The owner even provided some very relevant recommendations which provided an even better end state result for what my goal was. When the job was completed, the yard clean up was unmatched by any provider I had ever used in the past!!! It looked like they were never there (minus the trees out!) Their pricing, I believe it was spot on and worth every penny. Kudos to Montgomery Tree Service!!!

It took months to find a convenient date to do the work, but I am very happy with what was done. Mr. Montgomery listens carefully and made sure he understood what I was hoping to achieve, and checked with me during the process.

Henry was very professional and clearly is very knowledgeable in pruning various types of trees and bushes. He is very meticulous and takes great pride in his work. I found his staff to be courteous and very conscientious in picking up the cuttings. He spent well over 2 hrs and arrived 30 min earlier than the appointed time. He did charge a fee above the Angie list pricing but for the time/labor spent, I thought it was fair.

All went well. The job was completed on time, the yard looks so much better, the job site was thoroughly cleaned - looked like they were never there.

Overall, our experience with Henry Montgomery Tree Service was wonderful. We purchased our house last summer, and the entire backyard (which is small) consisted of a huge overgrown and scraggly pine tree that was about 80-100 feet tall. Near our deck (and close to our foundation) were also four overgrown arborvitae. Last summer we received estimates from other local tree services just to remove the pine tree, and these ranged from $2,000 to $2,200. Just for the one tree - so we imagined their quotes would be about $3,000 for all of the trees. One of the challenges is that the trucks would have to lift the tree pieces up over our garage. We put it off last summer and I am glad that we did! This fall we contacted Montgomery Tree Service, after seeing their reviews on Angie's List, and he quoted us $1450 to remove the pine tree and the four arborvitae, plus he'd grind the stumps and reseed. He started work in March, just as soon as the snow melted. They arrived exactly on time on the day that we scheduled our service. Henry himself was on-site, which was reassuring, and he had a crew of several guys. They got right to work, and within the first half hour, the whole top of the tree was gone! All the trees were cut down by noon, and they cleaned up all the chips and mess. The only small snafu came with the grinding of the stump. Because we had the trees removed in March, Henry said he'd come back at the end of April to grind out the stumps and reseed the yard, as soon as the ground warmed up enough for the seed. However, the end of April came and went and we had heard nothing from him about the work. Because he required payment in full at the time of the original work in March, we got a bit nervous. We contacted him several times in early May, and eventually he was able to come out and complete the work. Again, Henry showed up with a crew of guys and got right to work grinding the stumps, adding new top soil, and reseeding. It's like the huge trees were never there, and we have an entirely new backyard! Overall, our experience with Henry Montgomery Tree Service was excellent, and we would recommend his services. His communications could be a bit better, but he delivered on the services as promised. His cleanup and site finishing was excellent, and he and his crew were courteous and worked hard. Their work was highly professional, and I got the sense that Henry had a lot of experience and knowledge.

The job went extremely well. Mr. Montgomery was professional and prompt. Clean up was amazing, one would never have known that trees were removed. His pricing was the best in the area. Would definitely use his services again and recommend him to anyone looking for tree removal, pruning, and stump grinding.

Excellent job! He came out to survey the area, and he listened to all my concerns. He pointed out several limbs that needed to be trimmed from the trees in our backyard, and he answered all my questions thoroughly. He and his crew were prompt, and did a superb job trimming the trees. The back yard now looks so open! Hopefully the grass will now grow, instead of the moss that is there. Also, they cleaned up very well -- with a leaf blower and rakes; he did a great job -- not a single stick was remaining on the ground! I will definitely use them again.

I wish I had found him sooner ! Excellent service. Very impressed with his knowledge and ability. He took great care with cutting down the tall pine. He ground the stump and took away the material- the last service I used had left all the grindings for us to take care of. Highly recommended.

Henry is expert at knowing how far he can cut back a tree or shrub. Clean up is immaculate and I have and will continue to use him as well as recommend him to others.
