The staff here at Genetic has been helping us for years. My late husband and I have relied on them time and time again. Frequently I bring my computers in for issues and they always take care of me. Many times for minor problems they do not even charge me, even though I insist, Kristin refuses to take my money. These are hard working, honest people that genuinely care about their customers and offer exemplary customer service. Of which is truly almost nonexistent in our culture today. never had an issue with genetic computers. i would never trust anyone but robert and kristen with my technical needs. you never have to worry about being ripped off at genetic. i gave genetic computer my highest recommendation. you cannot go wrong by doing business with them.
Description of Work: i have been doing business with genetic computers for five years. i have taken my laptops there for service and sales. i have never had any issues with the owners,robert and kristen scott. they have always treated me very well. you get complete professionalism and integrity. i really respect their honesty when it comes to the issue of repairs. mr.scott will tell you when a device is not worth is not worth putting the money into. he will also NEVER try to sell you something that you do not need for your device.mr.scott will never do anything without checking with you first.they are excellent with sales. i purchased my MacBook pro through them. very fast turn around time with your devise. always excellent communcation about the status of your item.

extremely poorly... the system and software were almost non functional from when I first brought it home and after taking it back to Robert repeatedly, the PC that I bought from Genetic Computers was never put in proper working order... when I first took it back to Robert, he said that operating system services had been turned off... I wondered why he had not checked the equipment functionality out before it left his shop... I was later getting messages that the Operating System was "unauthorized" so Robert decided that he needed to reinstall the System with a new licensing key... he said that he needed the professionals at Micro Soft to take care of this problem and reinstall the system with a new licensing key... it still did not work and that effort was of no help to me... the next time I took my PC to Genetic, Robert advised that the McAfee virus protection had somehow been turned off and I was plagued with viruses... he said that he was going to have to start charging me to fix all of these problems that should never have occurred in the first place... other PC professionals advised me that the equipment and software that Robert had sold me would not provide me with good performance although Robert went out of his way to assure me what he gave me would work just fine. he then decided that the entire product needed to be replaced but by that time I became so frustrated that I decided that continuing to try to work with Robert Scott would be a waste of my time.... I had to take a $1100 loss (my request for a refund was refused) and scrap what Genetic Computers sold me and purchase a new PC and software from a reputable dealer... I now have a PC (laptop with Windows 7 and MS Office) that I am very happy with and have encountered no further problems with the hardware, software or viruses..
Description of Work: Robert Scott (Genetic Computers) sold me a Dell Laptop PC with a Windows 7 Operating System and MS Office software.

[member name removed], The system you purchased was over 6 months ago on 4/25/2014. The system was back in the shop three times in the last 6 months for virus and program issues related to your infections and programs you downloaded, infected flv player. The first time i covered the repair even though virus and malware infections are not covered by any warranty whatsoever. I have copies of your virus log sheets showing the infected files and virus. The second time the system was back it was for services that were turned off and problems with the operating system related to your virus infections. This is also when i had to contact Microsoft technical support who issued you a new product key due to the problems within the operating system related to your virus infection. They have noted all of the info any logged under service Ticket #SRX1251234525ID . This last time it was a corrupt version of mcafee free supplied by time warner cable which had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. There were also additional virus infections due to the non-working mcafee anti-virus. You also had called a few times stating that the system was slow only to find out that it was downloading windows updates at the time. The last we spoke you had mentioned you were still having problems so i offerred to replace the system with another at no cost to you. I am sorry you are having problems which is why i offerred to replace the unit but virus and malware infections, downloaded programs, are not covered under any warranty. Robert

Company is owned by Robert and Kristen Scott. It's always an excellent experience. Great communication. Always available for questions. Extremely knowledgeable. I priced around and the prices others quoted were more than double what they did their work on our computer for. Any minor things he will walk you through over the phone to fix yourself. I cannot say enough good things about their service. They are there for you any time and will give you costs up front before starting any work. He is continually educating himself on all the new technology and viruses.
