Eric Dupuis, of Dupuis Landscape Supply Co., Llc of 242 Country Route 52 in Greenwich, NY, (518) 588-2823, accomplished the above work in July and August of 2010 for a total cost of $38,603.50. Although some of my email inquiries regarding the landscaping remain unsolved, I'm submitting only the problems I've continuously had with the pavers shortly after the work was done. I admit that I trusted Eric completely and was terribly naive about matters such as this. I've never built a home before and have never hired someone to do landscaping. Of the $38,603.50 I paid for this work, Mr. Dupuis only furnished me with one receipt for $13,937.50, a portion of $1604.50 of which I questioned in an email and has never been clarified. Mr. Dupuis gave me a verbal estimate but I was never given a written estimate. Since I don't have proper receipts, I have no breakdown as to what was charged for the landscaping and separately for the pavers, hence my N/A on and quot;priceand quot; above.. Prior to beg\inning work on the pavers I specifically asked Mr. Dupuis if there would be a problem with ants and weeds in the pavers. Eric said no, that there should not be a problem with either. The very next year, however, I found mounds of sand where ants were making their nests under and around the pavers and weeds growing between the pavers. I can now easily remove many pavers and find ants under them. I believe that if the pavers had been installed properly I shouldn't be able to remove them easily. I began complaining, calling, emailing Mr. Dupuis since I first started having these problems in 2011. Of the numerous documented phone calls to Mr. Dupuis since 2011 he has probably returned two calls. On 28 May 2013 I received an email from Mr. Dupuis stating that and quot;We did use the correct polymer sand in all your paver areas. As this is a maintenance issue we can sweep new polymer sand in all your paver area for a cost of around $200.00. The poly sand is not 100% resistant to ants and weeds but is the best product to use to prevent them. I stated this to you multiple times. I've said it is a maintenance issue and should be done every 18 months to 2 yearsand quot;. Mr. Dupuis never told me that the pavers would be a maintenance issue. In fact, I've checked with a recent customer of his and they were not told that the pavers would require regular maintenance either. Also, in the same email Mr. Dupuis states that and quot;Any soldier pavers that are out of place will be reinstalled before new sand is swept. Any plastic edging will need to be reinstalled due to frost eveing (sic) is also a maintenance issue. As with all landscaping comes maintenance and I believe that not keeping me on as our lawn care provider that the proper maintenance has not been kept up. Let me know how you (would) like to proceed. In the meantime I will get the 2 box woods replaced.and quot; I immediately responded to his email asking him to call to set up an appointment. As with all the numerous times before, I haven't heard anything more from him. I finally decided, after several years of quibbling with Eric, to have someone else take a look at my pavers. Home Advisor recommended a 5-star masonry and stoneworks company. In addition to ants and weeds in my pavers, this company found that the tilt of the pavers in one specific area, but mainly on one pillar is faulty and that the sitting bench stones had no adhesive on them whatsoever. I have photos taken with a leveler that shows how much the pitch is off. I also have photos of ant mounds. This company will charge $2,500 only to correct the pavers around the patio perimeter and circular driveway as follows; Remove approximately 4and quot; of sod beyond borders Remove brick; install surpac, retamp border areas Remove capstones and adhere with construction-type adhesive made for capstones Step one end of wall down to the base of the pillar Remove pavers in the same area Disassemble pillar and rebuild Start base one block below grade on new material which requires the purchase of an extra course of blocks I've recently purchased and applied ant granules to try to eliminate the ants, but it will be an ongoing problem.
Description of Work: Planted all trees, shrubs, flowers and laid pavers around my circular drive and for a patio area with 2 pillars and sitting bench.

I do have somebody that does my stonework. Dupuis Landscape Supply Co. Last year he did the work for me. He charged me $2000.00 but it was a long wall, about twenty feet and it was high about four feet high. He was very good. I had problem because where the wall is it's next to my garage and I have plowing done there, what he did was he made it so it curves in so the plow can back up and it won't get involved with the plow. He was very easy to deal with. If you want to have something done he will do anything you want. He won't push the biggest thing on you. If you want something small done it's not a problem with him.
Description of Work: Dupuis Landscape Supply Co did a beautiful stone wall in the front of my house. It's a retaining wall about twenty feet long and four feet high.
