Eric Vorrath and his assistant Doug, are truly remarkable. We have called Eric many times over the last several years-to install bathroom heaters replace outlets, fixtures, etc. Eric is incredibly capable and my wife and I have the utmost confidence and trust in him. We have lived in this house for almost 43 years and Eric is our go-to electrician. He is a superb diagnostician and he identifies what needs to be done and does it- quickly and capably. And he is a thoroughly kind and decent man as well. He has the "Three C's"-= competence, caring, and character. He is "best in class". If you need an electrician, he is the one to call. Yes, he is that good.

Eric answered, I caught him at a great time, on the way to a nearby appointment and he was able to come right away. I get the impression that he is responsive at all times, not just because I happened to be lucky with my timing. I explained what had happened; the light switch, which had been installed for quite a while, popped and sparked and tripped the breaker. I knew I could replace the switch, but wanted someone to check out the wiring to make sure there weren't any deeper issues. It turned out to be the switch, he replaced it quickly, charged me a very reasonable rate. I'd certainly use Vorrath again and easily recommend their services.

Our chandelier suddenly stopped working after I cleaned one of the globes. Eric called back quickly and came out right away, diagnosed the problem as a blown transformer in the fixture caused by a loose bulb. He found replacement transformers (difficult because the original was not a US part), wired it into the chandelier, cleaned the socket where the short had occurred, replaced the faulty bulb, and got it all working again. He worked very carefully and cleanly. We couldn't be more pleased.

After years of searching for a skilled, honest, prompt, professional electrician, we found Vorrath Electric. We have now used the company on several occasions and each time found Eric to be straightforward, practical, quick and effective. He will readily provide project estimates, but his work ethic is such that just asking him (and his assistant) to address problems on an hourly basis is just as cost effective. If you have a whole house issue, you will find him thorough and clear in presenting options, and very understandable in explaining what needs to be done in a non-technical fashion. We recommend him without reservation.
