The job was completed in just a few hours. Mr Houghtaling was extremely professional.

From start to finish his work went along seamlessly. From the beginning he had everything that he needed to accomplish the job. He worked cheerfully and professionally throughout the day the job required. He also expertly coordinated with the power company even though the company made it challenging due to their lack of responsiveness. In the laate afternoon the power company electrician had still failed to show up for the reconnect . Hopeing that the power company's employee would show up soon, Mr. Houghtaling stayed several hours after completeing his job planning to ensure that the panel was working correctly. When it got to be 8 PM and the power company electrician still hadn't showed up, he agreed with us that he should go home. The power company's technicians didn't arrive until 11:30 PM to reconnect the power to our house. Mr. Houghtaling didn't charge me for the extra time he was there. In the end, the panel worked flawlessly. My wife and I were overjoyed that we had contracted with Mr. Houghtaling to do the work. We would never hesitate to call on him again. My wife and I both whole heartedly recommend him to anyone who needs an expert electrician at a fair price for any project - large or small.

We had a power outage due to an ice storm. When the power went back on the refrigerator was still not working(only bought 5 months ago). When we checked the fuse box, we noticed one had tripped. When he flipped it back on, we heard a buzzing noise, a pop and saw a flash of light come out of the socket near the sink. Then we smelled smoke. No company we called was able to come and check on the problem that night. The next morning, we called a company that said it would be $150.00 just to come to the house. We called Mr. Houghtaling that said $75.00 for the house call. He is located in the same town we live in and was here in about 45 minutes. It took about 15 minutes to check the fuse box, check the socket, and replace it. He told us that we needed a more up-to-date socket, one that had a light to indicate when the socket is about to go. He replaced the old socket with a new one with a light and now everything is working perfectly! He also would not accept a tip after the work! We now have our electrician considering we are new to the area.
