Kew-Forest Plumbing & Heating

About three days ago I called them because my heat was not working. They set up an appointment for this morning and called at 10am saying they are too busy with other emergencies and will need to reschedule next week (today is thursday) I went three days without heat, i was not about to add another few days. So I called another company and they came the same day. I am annoyed. Do not set up an appointment that you cannot keep. If your schedule is busy then just tell me when I first call that you cant accept any new clients before a certain date. Dont leave me waiting for the day of the appointment just to cancel.

They were quick. They did what they said they would. They cleaned up after their work was done. It went well.

Prompt and excellent service from start to finish. Chuck is very professional and gets the job done right. I would definately use Kew-Forest Plumbing and heating again.

I can't say enough nice things about Paul and his crew. They promised an 8:00AM appointment and were there right on time. They removed the old unit quickly and efficiently. Installation of the new water heater went smoothly and they cleaned up after themselves and were gone by 11:00AM "A" is not a high enough rating for Kew Forest

I called Kew Forest yesterday because we had problems with bugs coming up our kitchen drain, and we suspected we didn't have a P trap in the piping. The receptionist at Kew Forest was very courteous and took down all my information, and she told me that the plumbers could come the next day, between the hours of 8 and 12 in the morning. Well, at exactly 8 a.m. on the dot, the plumbers called and they were around the corner! They came in, and they were very professional and courteous, and they listened to my description of what I would like done. They promptly went into the kitchen and inspected the pipes, and told me and my husband we were correct about missing that P trap. They carefully cleaned out and packed away the items under my sink, and went to work. They had to put in a new piece of piping, the P trap. They finished quickly, and returned all the items under the sink area. Then I asked them if they could check out my bathroom sink, as it was slow to drain. They snaked it out and cleaned it out, and gave me tips on how to clean my own drain for the future. They worked quickly and cleanly and I will definitely be calling them again with any plumbing problems I have. They were certainly worth the price and I would surely recommend them.

I'm not sure how much I spent on their services. I've used them for several months and I was having some trouble with my heating system in general. They came out and they weren't satisfied with what they did. So they came back again. They must have come back four times at no additional charge. 4.09 to 4.15 fantastic. The people that come out are friendly and professional. They couldn't do enough until they got it right. I will use them again in the future.

Their advertising shows free estimates so I went over there because it is not too far away from my home and apparently it is a free estimate if you were maybe to install a new boiler or a new something. But I wanted them to look at a plumbing issue and they said it would be over $200 just to come so I crossed them off the list. The estimate was not free; it was only free if I made a purchase of some sort. I will not use them again in the future.

The scheduling, delivery, removal of old system and installation of new were all conducted, flawlessly. All the work was done within the span of a normal working day. The new installation was tested for performance and was confirmed to be in proper working order prior to closing out the job. I was very pleased with all aspects of the transaction. I would certainly consider using this company for future projects.

We had a bit of disagreement for which the owner of the company later apologized. They charged $500 but wanted $900. They had to come back twice for the same repair. They came back and did fix the same repair but then as they were fixing the second time something else broke that wasn't broken before and they wanted an additional $500 to have it repaired. I tried to talk to them so that we could agree upon a price because it was too much money; it was working before they got here. They insulted me; so I asked them to get out of the house. But then they sent me a letter of apology stating that I could pay whatever I felt was appropriate for the repair that needed to be done. But overall I was satisfied with their service. They did what they were supposed to do. The workers themselves were absolutely fine and normal. I wish they didn't have to come back twice and screw up on their part but they did charge me for the second trip; I would not expect them to. They were too expensive. I thought that it was extremely overpriced but as it was an emergency I didn't have much choice. I would give them a and lsquo;B' on quality because they did have to come back and fix the same repair. They were responsive; they responded almost immediately and came out in a very timely manner. I would give the professionalism of the workers an and lsquo;A'. I would not use them again in the future.

I used angies list for a recommendation. Went to the office and received a price. The only thing was the girl did not tell us we had a choice of different water heaters. I would have gotten the and quot;top of the lineand quot;. The plumbers arrived a half hour early. The job was done well, the plumbers were very professional and very pleasant. If I have anything else to be done, I would definitely use kew-forest plumbing again!

Do hire professionals even for drain clearing. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. initially I hired the well advertised $49.99 drain clearing company who at the end caused the damage to the pipe. Do shop around for a reputable plumber before any emergency comes your way.

They came promptly and within the hour I paid for, determined what the problem was with the leak I had the kitchen. I was very satisfied with the service, overall.

The water heater is working fine and they were very prompt with their service. The workers were very courteous. Overall, the job went fine.

When I called, I was told someone would get to me at some point in the day. They arrived about an hour later. They checked everything out right away and replaced the piping. When it didn't work properly, they corrected the issue immediately. They also noticed that the tubing that led to the dish washer wasn't trapped properly and fixed the problem at no additional cost. They were professional, courteous and prompt. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

My shower drain was clogged and I did not realize the caulking was messed up so I flooded the apartment downstairs! I called and the response was immediate. The men worked quickly and I was back in business. They fixed the caulking, too. They left it kind of messy, but I do not think it is their responsibility to clean up. They disposed of the 'clog' and wiped it down. The snake just splattered.

We are the process of refinishing our basement and wanted to relocate a steam pipe that was running through the middle of the ceiling to the perimeter of the room, so as to be less intrusive. I found Kew Forest just by searching for plumbers in the area and looking up a few random reviews I could find online. I spoke with someone about having someone come out for an estimate, but I was told that the person I needed to talk to was on vacation but would give me a call on Monday to discuss. As promised, I received a call on Monday from Steve and he actually came out later that day to take a look. He contacted me a few days later with an estimate, which was much lower than another plumber that had come by... so we decided to go with them. The crew came by to start the work the following week. The two men who did the work were extremely knowledgeable and worked efficiently. They were also very accommodating considering we had a barking dog and 2 small children in the house. They did a great job... they moved the pipe and were able to tuck it up even higher in the ceiling than we expected!! We then had them back recently because of a sewer smell in the basement. They were able to come the same day that I called. They were able to clean some things out but afterwards, we still had a slight smell. We were able to speak with Paul who reassured us that it probably was not a larger issue, and offered some suggestions on things we could try on our own to try to pinpoint the issue, as well as gave us a few tips on how we might be able to remedy things since this could just be a regular occurance. We greatly appreciated the advice. We would definitely use Kew Forest Plumbing for any plumbing issues in the future!!

These guys are good. I had a non-working boiler and wasn't sure if the boiler itself or the wiring was the problem. I also wanted my gas grill hooked up and some issues withe the radiators looked at. Two plumbers named Dave and (maybe Sean) whose name I can't quite remember came out and they were right on time. They quickly got to work on the boiler, figured out that it was mechanically ok, and began doing some simple tests on the wire and thermostat to see why it wouldn't go on. Dave determined that there was a break in the wire somewhere. But he didn't leave me hanging, he got on the phone with an electrician (who also turned out to be excellent) and got him to come out the same day. Meanwhile, these two guys got to work hooking up my backyard grill to the gas line - they even extended the line a little to make it run closer to the side of the window and get it out of the way. Then gave gave me some advice on two minor radiator issues - one with a light leak and the other with the knob broken off. Replacing the parts would have required draining the system but Dave explained this might not be necessary because the leak - from a rused iron pipe - might seal itslef once the system got hot (it did) and the broken valve can be turned with a wrench. This should get me though the winter without any further expense and then I'll have them back to drain it and replace parts at some point. I'd like to contrast this experience with one I had with a previous mechanical contractor who was called for the non-working boiler. He just said - it's a wiring problem, you need an electrician. Then he handed me the bill and left. Kew Forest doesn't operate like that - they're full service and they wanted to make sure my heat was working and got the right people out to make it happen. With the grill work they did, it extended them to the two hour mark, so the price got a little high, but well worth it for people who actually know what they're doing. I plan to use them for future plumbing and mechanical needs.

The original work didn't fix the problem completely, so they returned to replace electrical relay.

It was an excellent experience. They were professional and knew what they were doing.

They came in and installed the boiler. Electrician later came to hook up. It would've been helpful if the timing worked out better if I didn't have to stay and wait for the electrician. I'm not sure if that's because they didn't plan it well or that the electrician was late. I think it was the latter because after the installation, we found that the pilot light was burning very high, to the extent it was heating the whole basement. It would've been helpful if they tested it fully before they left, but again I think it was the electrician's error. Anyway, we called and they came back and fixed it for no charge. A couple of days later, they mailed the certificate of home improvement.

The work was done as specified. The boiler and water heater were replaced in the summer. In November when I attempted to start the boiler for the first time, there were two problems (a short and a leak). Both were fixed quickly (within a day) and professionally. All my questions were answered.

I HAVE USED KEW FOREST FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK AND IT IS LESS STRESS TO WORK WITH A COMPANY WITH WHICH I AM FAMILIAR.
