Description of Work: I use Kew-Forest Plumbing & Heating for plumbing services. The toilet was backing up a little it wasn't flushing [01:56].

Description of Work: I had initially called Kew-Forest to check out my boilers which weren't working after my basement got flooded. They responded quickly and got one of the boilers working. I than inquired about installation of a backwater valve to prevent future floods and I was informed that someone else had to check out the area in order to give me an estimate. A few days later Steve visited my home and informed he will email me an estimate by the end of the day. Two days later, after calling Kew-Forest I received an estimate of $4200. I was ok with the price and called them back to arrange a date, the receptionist informed she'll give Steve the message to contact me... 2 days later and no call, I decided to call back, and got the same response and till this day I have not heard from them, which is very rude and unprofessional. But the thankfully I found a great responsible plumber who did the job for a less of the cost CPH plumbing.

Description of Work: They did nothing they never answered our message

Description of Work: Unhook the stove. |Replace a toilet and the pipes leading out from it.

Description of Work: Replaced broken boiler and old water heater. Our old boiler died on us during the last cold spell, we decided to replace at the same time our old water heater as to avoid the risk of having to do more work like that and reduce potential foot traffic in our finished basement. Work was done quickly and as promised, we had the new equipment up and running within 48 hours of the initial phone call to the company. It has been only 1 week since it was installed but we have no issues with the work, all was made easy for us.

Description of Work: Kew Forest Plumbing & Heating installed a Burnham gas boiler and an A.O. Smith hot water heater. It was handled in a pleasant and professional manner.

Description of Work: These guys are terrific. I am a property manager and am glad to have them on my team. Their prices are a bit higher than other plumbers but the quality is great.

Description of Work: Responded on the same date--Friday. Promised to return on Monday with a manual since they did not know where to begin with the type of boiler here. Did not return or provide with a manual. No futher contact except for the bill.

Description of Work: I called and asked for an appointment in Manhattan and was told that they were no longer taking appointments at this time as they were too busy. Business must be good to turn down work!

Description of Work: Brian from Kew Forest installed a new hot water heater that I supplied and it was to be moved about 12" to the right...I told this to the receptionist and asked her how long will it take being I was going to be charged $175 per hour...this little need to know info was extremely important to me. She said it could take 2-3 hours but was not sure until they came to see.... Well it didn't take 2-3 hours, it took 6 hours and they charged me an extra hour just for good measure. They got here at 8:30 and my watch clocked them finished and in his truck at 2:35pm... It took him approximately 30 minutes to write up the receipt, then come to find out that I was paying for that time as well. So how was 6 hours of actual labor turn into 7 hours. Other than being upset about the extra hour, I have to say Brian did an excepional job and seem to know what needed to get done. He and James were very professional.
