Description of Work: John the owner came out to give me an estimate on manual transfer switch install for portable generator. John spent a lot of time going over options with me. Even though I have not moved forward with the project due to long delay in obtaining the generator, I would heartily recommend John for his expertise and professionalism

Description of Work: John came out after a storm where a huge tree essentially ripped the electric service off the side of the house. I called him around 7:45 am as an emergency and he was at the house by 9 am. He finished the work in one day and came back the following to deal with the LIPA inspection and helping me getting the power restored from the pole to my home. His guys were very professional and quick and the total price was exactly what he quoted me when he showed up. He also pointed out issues around the old box and upgraded so we could avoid those issues. He was extremely professional and helpful and I will call him again if I have any electrical needs.

Description of Work: Installed 12 new outlets in very old home, disabled old unsafe wiring, updated computer wiring, assessed condition of outside lights (will be done at later date) and very old candelier in dining room (also to be done at later date)

 + -1 moreJohn came in an explained what needed to be done. He answered his cell phone whenever I called with questions and ensured he was on time for each appointment. Although the initial estimate was MUCH less than what I've actually spent, the cost ballooned after we found wiring problems that were hidden behind walls. John explained the issues, showed me the problems that even I was able to tell needed to be addressed and handled things as the were found. I also ended up letting John pick up some of my lighting which turned out to astronomically more expensive than I expected it would be. That was my fault for not being more in tuned with what was out there and not being more hands on with regard to a budget. I recommend using JD Electric. In fact, I sent him to my mother's to help her out with a few things.

 + -1 moreThis was a very good experience with a local company. They came to see the job and provide an estimate, which turned out to be very accurate. They scheduled the work within a few days of the estimate, showed up exactly on time, and worked very professionally. They were careful not to make a mess and cleaned up thoroughly. We're very pleased with the result and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Rewired an outlet to work off a wall switch. Rewired another outlet to have constant power iinstead of working off a wall switch. Installed two fluorescent fixtures and a wall switch in a basement storage area.
