It always goes great. You tell Dave what you need. He tells you what it will cost. He gets it done well. He does it on-budget. When we had electrical issues at our homeowner's association beach house, Dave had two of his guys work there, replacing old conduit and circuits, until it was fixed. When we give him a honeydo list of little electrical problems around the house, he or his guys show up and do it. All of his employees seem super-nice, and never make you feel like a job is too small or you're too stupid not to be able to do it yourself. The always genuinely seem happy that you called, even for a little thing. This is impressive, given that at the same time that they're replacing a switch for you, they'll have a job across town installing a 1000-kilowatt standby generator at a business. When we needed power at the other end of the house, Dave devised an economical solution to run an outdoor cable over there, rather than all the way through the house. He installed some new outlets inside that side of the house, and rewired some others to run on the new circuits. I was amazed that the interior finish work he did was so good that you can't tell from their appearance which are the new outlets and which were the old ones. He seems to enjoy the special challenge of Old Gold Coast Home wiring, where things may not always be what they seem. His folks always clean up after themselves, and, again, are always unbelievably nice and considerate, going out of their way to think of how they can help. When we needed a standby generator, Dave found us the right size -- not too big and not too small -- and coordinated everything from the propane tank installation to the plumber to connect it. When we had a hardware issue with the generator about a year after installation (starter motor burned out -- apparently unusual), one call to Dave had him out at our house accompanied by the generator manufacturer's representative, who replaced the failed part for free. He took ownership of the problem, and responsibility for coordinating the repair and making sure that we were back in business, even though it was something that we probably should have called the manufacturer about directly. Dave is just a smart, knowledgeable, HONORABLE man, who plainly realizes that doing the right thing by his customers will bring him repeat business and great word of mouth references. Frankly, I almost feel like I am wasting his time when I call to see if he can come over and replace a light switch that has failed, knowing that he is fixing my switch on the way home from working all day on a big job someplace else. And yet he always seems truly happy to come by and do it; I guess he knows that doing those little things, over the long term, mean that we would never use anyone else when we need something significant.
Description of Work: Dave has done jobs big and small for us for more than a decade. Need a ceiling fixture or wall switch replaced? No problem. Need another 100-amp service installed at the other side of the dwelling, digging a trench in the lawn to handle the cable from the service entrance? Easy. Need a whole-house standby generator system installed turn-key, with Dave coordinating all the vendors and trades? Done. Dave has done all these for us, along with changing bulbs annually in hard-to-reach places (like over the electrical wire going to the house). He has worked for our homeowner's association last year, restoring the electrical system in our beach house.

I would use them again. Their work was good and everything has worked since them. They knew what needed to be done when they got there. They worked with me on the placement for the landscape lighting.
Description of Work: They did some landscape and pathway lighting for me. They also installed an overhead light and some additional outlets in my son’s room.
