The owner required down payment to start. Worked one day and left site for about a month. He used my down payment to finance other work. After threatening to remove 40 yd. dumpster parked in front of my house for 6 weeks, his crew returned and somewhat finished. Did not do all roofing, stated window overhang was "not included" in tear-off. Gutters were plugged when they left. Tree in back yard was damaged by falling debris and died. Shoddy work in general. I would never recommend these guys and have been very sucessful in diverting other "victims" from their grasp.

The contract price was for $4800 and an extra $2.75 per sq. ft. for any needed plywood. They ended up trying to charge me an additional $488 for plywood. I disputed this charge since my sister took pics, and there was no way they used an additional $488 of plywood on my roof. When I called for an explanation, the owner (who was never on site for the job) told me that they probably charged me for the extra scrap pieces that couldn't be used, even though the contract clearly said $2.75/sq. ft. I pleaded with him, showed him the pics from my sister, and had him in my attic to verify the actual amount of plywood used... all for nothing. The owner was completely irrational and unreasonable. He could not explain the $488 charge beyond that I had to pay for the unused pieces of scrap. I ended up taking them to court, after trying numerous times to settle out of court on a reasonable price, and ended up paying about half the $488. Since the roof job in '09, roof has leaked twice in the side entryway to the house. These guys are a joke!

Collingwood Construction's price was fair. I had a good feeling about the guy who came out and gave me the estimate. I would recommend them. They did quality work and were worthy. I will use them again in the future.

They were great, responsive and seemed eager to do the work. They were punctual and showed up with samples of the roof. There was a house whose roof I was admiring and he went through the trouble of figuring out what shingle they were using. That was really nice and I appreciated it. However, they said they were certified in the type of shingle we wanted, but then I called the vendor and they said they were not. I hate to say it was deliberate because at one point they had been certified and then they weren't, but it was a little fishy. I liked the sales person a lot, but I think he should have known that. I really wanted to go with them because I liked them and the time they took, but with the issue of being certified in the shingle I wanted and negative reviews I read on Angie's List I chose not to go with them. He was also a little pushy.

Prompt, efficient, professional, excellent quality, not inexpensive

Requested estimate for roof repair. The receptionist was pleasent and the appointment was set within a week. The guy that came to give the estimate only looked at the roof from the driveway and gave an estimate that was twice as high as the price we eventually paid for the work. There was a fair amount of pressure in the sales pitch and it was obvious that he was simply the salesman and didn't know much about the actual work to be done.

Estimator explained process and cost. Installers arrived on schedule, did a professional job, cleaned up with meticulous care, and followed up after 2 weeks with a satisfaction questionare.

The inspector (I'm selling my house) said the roofer did an excellent job.

Collingwood Roofing Systems arrived on time. The workers were very pleasant and answered any questions we had. They cleaned everything up including hauling away the scrap. I'm pleased with the new siding.

Collingwood Roofing didn't do a very good job fixing our roof. They also wouldn't come back and fix it without having some one else tell them that its appropriate to come out and make me happy as a customer.

Collingwood did an excellent job. They were very efficient. They were good about cleaning up when they were done with the work.

They quality of the work was great. Collingwood Roofing Systems did an awesome job of stripping off the old shingles. They cleaned up everything, and didn't leave any remnants in our yard. I was very pleased with their work.

Collingwood Construction did an excellent job in cleaning up after themselves. It was like we couldn't even tell that they were there except that the concrete was done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Collingwood Roofing was good, the price was a little high. I expected better treatment for the money that I was spending. They re-used the old skylight, and should have put in a new one. It will cost more money now.
