Great service highly recommend them

I have been a Kimlin customer for over ten years. Recently they started a list of additional charges. First they charged me $10 or so annually as a tank rental. Now they have called to tell me I owe them over $200 because now they have a minimum of 100 gallons and I only used 28 gallons. That’s all I need for my stove and my clothes drier. So they are, in essence, expecting me to pay for gas I don’t need. They have also threatened to send this bill to collection if I don’t pay. I paid for the propane I received. They want me to pay for something I have not received and do not need..

They have been delivering 19 years and only missed auto refill twice. My prior vendor missed every other month. I got behind during the pandemic and they worked with me to pay past balances and not interrupt service. A special shout out to Joannie for making this all work. Highly recommended.

i pre paid fuel the tank was not filled ran out twice I was told their was a problem with my boiler their was no problems it was that i ran out again in the middle of the winter. they would not reenburse me for the service call of $200.00 and i was told their was 70 gal. in the tank. they would not reburies me for the service call when they knew they made the mistake. ever-time the deliver they deliver t fees, not all companies charges these fee's I was not happy with them after i ran out the then put a motor to let them know how much fuel in the tank. I do not trust them they do not monitor the fuel like they want you to think they do . buyer beware think twice before buying fuel from them.

Kimlin took 5-months to diagnose an issue with my hot water which took Kosco a 5-minute call to do the same. They charged me for service calls during which the man said he does not work on propane and sent another serviceman, I got charged for both. Then I got charged for each misdiagnosis, I spent over $400 on labor parts, hours of phone calls and service calls, to still not fix the problem until Kosco confirmed the last diagnosis in 5 minutes. 5 months of losing hot water and They’re solution was to remove the service fee but they will not provide service to my account.if I could give them zero points, I would.

I was quoted a price for propane delivery by Kimlin on the telephone. I accepted their price. To get propane delivery Kimlin demanded I sign a 3-year contract with a higher price than quoted to me by telephone and agree to various penalities and stipulations all in favor of Kimlin. I said I would accept the higher price and all of Kimlin's contact stipulations if Kimlin would just reduce the length of the contract to two years. Kimlin responded by sending me a terse email canceling the offer of the 3-year contract. I received no apology, explanation, or any other response after that cancellation from Kimlin. I recommend those seeking propane delivery avoid Kimlin Energy Servies.

I think they have fake reviews, everyone I know has left them. I have been with Kimlin for 10-15 years. I have a 3 unit propane apt. bld. They were overall fair, better at first than a different company who tried a "scare tactic." After I bought the house and was setting up an account they used the "bubble technique" and stated that I had a leak and needed to sell me new equipment. Many years later, same equipment, no problems. Regarding Kimlin their techs are fair in training. I had a heater that wouldn not stay lite and they had no idea how to fix it, but stated I could buy another unit and charged me for that advice. A friend of mine ordered a part on line for $30, vacuumed it and it has been working fine ever since - years later. They did remove the charge after I complained for their poor advice. After the father retired, the son (3rd generation) took over and the service steadily declined. In the last 4 years I have had 4 tenants have issues with no heat during the winter months. It always seemed to occur when my tenants were away. After many many attempts to resolve the issues with Kimlin, I had to leave. Not another winter with such a risk of freezing pipes. The 1st winter was over Christmas, where I had to babysit the building with electric heaters. Kimlin has charged me to leave, (removal of the tanks and restocking fees). This is unfair practice. Not ethical. I had to leave due to their negligence and they are charging me. This is bizarre and unethical. BBB report and small claims. Watch your bill, they charge inappropriately.

I've used Kimlin for several years to supply propane to a residence in the Catskills that has a propane on-demand hot water and heating system, a fireplace insert, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Kimlin follows a regularly delivery schedule. The service has been timely and the billing immediate and accurate. Customer service has been excellent. A recent conversation about propane bulk buy was enlightening and money saving. I'm very satisfied with Kimlin.

Explanation of all charges never happened and I got a bill for over $500 out of nowhere. I sent 3 or 4 e-mails asking about why the charges were not showing up online on my account and explaining that the charges were never explained. Kimlin responded promptly, but never answered the questions and just continued to send me bills. I'm extremely disappointed that someplace rated so highly on this website would have such poor customer service when there is an issue.

I waited five business days and still did not receive a propane delivery. I called Kimlin to inquire when I would receive a delivery. I was told that I would receive a delivery the following day. The next day came and went without a propane delivery. I called Kimlin and left a message. I received a phone call the following morning and was advised that the delivery truck ran out of propane and that is why I didn't receive my delivery. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke with an extremely rude female named Melinda. I stated I wanted to cancel my contract and did not feel that I should be charged for an early termination fee due to not receiving any of their services. I was told that I could terminate my contract but I would be charged $75 when they came to pick up their propane tank. I did not feel that I should be responsible for the removal of their propane tank. I was told it was my responsibility when I moved into the new house to contact them and set up a new account or have the tank removed at my expense. When I moved in I wasn't sure if the previous owners owned the tank or not. After being spoken to like a child I terminated the call. A short time later I observed a Kimlin truck servicing my neighbor two houses down the street from me. At that point I had been out of propane for 10 days. I realize now that I wasn't going to receive a delivery until they were in the area. Furthermore if they cared about their tank or new customers they would have reached out to me and solidified a new account like my oil company LOVE EFFRON did when I moved in. I feel that Kimlin propane Inc. has bad business practices and customer relations and for that they will never get any of my business. If you noticed the cost box is $0.00 because that is exactly what they will receive from me.

The service works out fine. I used them every month and am on a schedule with them. I think they are fair with their costs. They are reliable and they take care of what they need to. My interaction with them was fine.

Have been using Kimlin for service, check ups and deliveries of propane - always courteous staff, prompt service and delivery. Even spent time with me to walk through all aspects of a propane fire place maintenance / cleaning which was very helpful.

I called just about every propane provider in the area and they were the only ones who could accommodate me when it was convenient for me. I appreciated the personal service.

Their guy installed and filled a 100 gallon LP tank at my winterized house. I couldn't be there so I described where to find my hidden key so the furnace could be tested. He checked for leaks, plugged the end of an unused gas line, switched main breaker on for test and called when he was done. He couldn't have been nicer. Also a very good communicator. I only wish I could have been there to give him a well deserved tip. Next time I guess. BTW, he did all the above in my house that was beyond freezing cold! Dealing with them on the phone was also a pleasure. I'm very glad I found a great company to work with.

They deliver at appropriate times, leave the bill in the same place and there is no need for us to be home to pay on delivery.

I called the company, the owner came over and discussed placement of the propane tank. I was not happy with the initial location we agreed on when it was first placed, so I called and we found another solution. The wiring/piping work was then done promptly. Great job.

Great local propane company with good price and nice people. They didn't charge to come and put the tank on the side of my house only to fill it and didn't make me sign any contracts. Would highly recommend.
