 + -1 moreOur oil furnace stopped working and called Just Service because they were local. They were prompt and courteous. I liked the technician who came out and did troubleshooting. In hindsight, he just started throwing parts at the problem over multiple visits. Each visit he would replace something else and it would work for a while and then stop. The tech was very nice and on two visits only charged parts, not labor. Eventually, the furnace ran, but the house temperature didn't feel like it was getting proper heat. I called a different company and they came out and found the blower was installed backwards.

Description of Work: Said it was the hose that runs into the faucet & I should go to a big box store to see if they had a replacement hose. I suggested that as a plumber they would take care of parts needed for the repair. He said if I got the part, they would install it for me. The cost would have been an additional service call of $105. I said no thanks. It was subsequently diagnosed as a problem with the faucet's "ball" that determines water flow.

Description of Work: Kitchen sink was backed up 2 days before alot of company was coming into town. Tried unclogging myself with a Home Depot drain snake with no luck. Called this service in the morning and they scheduled a time that same afternoon. First technician that came seemed novice and started using a similar snake that I had. He asked me for buckets to use during the service, which I considered unprofessional. He could not unclog the drian, claims he needed better equipment (so I assume they always send technicians out that don't have the right equipment?) Another technician shows up who was more mature but very unpersonable. Both walked thru the house with dirty work boots - just plain sloppy guys! 2nd technician went into basement and cut a pipe to clean clog, and he made an AWEFUL mess. He cleaned the clog, using my ladders and buckets, and left the basement and my equipment a total mess. When I asked what's the cost, he rudely said "you have to call the office for that." Overall a bad experience and will never use them again. I wrote a formal letter to the company expressing my dissatisfaction and never heard back. That say's it all about this company.

 + 0 moreWe had the toilet fixed. The wax ring was leaking so we had it replaced. We use Just Service for a number of handyman type issues. They deliver our heating oil as well and we are very happy with all the services they have provided to us. Just Service completed the plumbing work quickly and the issue is now resolved. The work was completed three weeks ago for approximately $100. We have always seen that Just Service's pricing is very reasonable on everything they have done with us. They were very professional and we would be happy to use them again.

 + -1 moreThe tech arrived as scheduled, surveyed the area, and suggested three possible solutions. He said he would discuss the situation with his boss and contact us with a cost and time estimate. Four weeks after this visit, Just Service has not returned any of the three messages I have left (two during normal business hours and one in the early evening). We will look elsewhere for this work and future work. Very disappointing.
Description of Work: We requested an estimate to reroute our bathroom fan through the attic to eliminate a potential mold problem.

 + -1 moreThey were on time, very professional and informative. They also offered a free estimate of some potential, future renovations to our basement. I would absolutely recommend them and plan to contact them for future work at our house.
Description of Work: Two service reps performed an annual inspection of our heating and AC system. Just Service installed the system for the previous owners in 2001.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreI am so pleased with this company as they offer heating, air conditioning, and plumbing services. They did a good job of cleaning up the work area. I like them because of their reliability, honesty, and reasonable pricing. They know their business and very knowledgeable in all areas. They do not fish for repairs, but only complete services if they are absolutely necessary. The price I paid was the same amount that I was quoted in the estimate.
Description of Work: They removed and disposed of my gas hot water heater. They replaced it with an extension for the hot water boiler. My home is 2000 square feet and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The job took two hours to complete.
