Boldt Sealcoating

The owner Jason was very rude. I would have never used them had I known what a headache it would be. They arrived on the original planned date (Friday) and tore out the old driveway and then decided it was too wet to put a new one in, and it needed to dry out, so they would come back on Monday to pour the new driveway. I got home on Monday and nothing was done and I never received any call or notification that it was not going to go according to plan. I called Jason and he proceeded to berate me and "educate" on all the variables related to paving, and how I don't what I was talking about and at the end said "I am done with you. I don't need your business". This was followed by a series of texts where he continued to display rude, crude and totally unprofessional behavior. Luckily, another guy, Mike, texted me later to inform me that they would be there on Tues morning....and at least he was apologetic. Tuesday morning came and went, and I had to reach out to them again to see what the status was. They finally arrived at 3:30 PM on Tuesday...........after I had stayed home from all morning thinking they would be there (as was promised). I would warn anyone who doesn't have time to follow up, and wants to stick to a schedule to NOT USE THEM. It was a very frustrating process.

Work done was excellent. However I was told they would here to do the job on a Monday, came on Sunday while I was out to a showing with my antique car. Came home to find I could not get the car back into the garage I store it in and had to sit outside for 2 days. Also was not able to get my everyday car out to use. Not happy about that at all.

It rained heavy that night of the first service. I had been away, upon my return I noticed that a lot of the sealcoat had washed away. I called them to let them know. They promptly returned the next day and re-sealcoated my driveway. I am very pleased with the job and with the customer service.

I just purchased the home and the driveway had never been sealed. They filed the cracks and applied a heavy coat of sealer. Looks great

The problem with this contractor is its owner (no less) who prides himself on being an ex-marine. He thinks rudeness, meanness, brusqueness, bullying and intimidation are part of his professional, "marine-like" behavior. His staff is much better and do a good job, but if you interact with the owner, Jason Boldt, you'll be in for a rude shock. He called me at 8:30pm the evening before he did the job and surprised me with the news that they were going to come in the next morning and I must have my cars out of the way. He does not know how to talk to his customers and prides himself in saying that his loyalty is to the driveway and not to the customer. Seriously? Whose driveway is it, anyway?He tries to bulldoze his way around and tries intimidation tactics to get you to agree to the time and date he has decided he wants to schedule you on regardless of your considerations. Before he even completes the job, he is already telling you that he expects payment promptly upon completion of the job, right then and there. So if you're not going to be home, please tape your envelope with the check to the front door! I don't want to go on. I came very close to cancelling him. He sent someone else to do the estimate, and so I signed on. Had I met him prior to signing on and experienced this brand of professionalism, I would never have hired him. Stay away!

They did a great job applying this sealer uniformly and neatly. The owner explained the products that he uses and that he doesn't water down the sealant to save money. The driveway looks brand new! It is a dark color and still looks new after a month.

I spoke with Jason Boldt of this business and he said he would get back to me in "two days". A week and a half went by, I figured it was the busy season, so, I just called to inquire as to whether the estimate was done and he had no idea and had to ask for my phone number again. He was quite brusque with me on the phone from the outset. I said I had already given him my phone number and if he had no record of my estimate I would go somewhere else, thinking he was too busy for our business. I thanked him, ended the conversation, said good bye and hung up the phone. Jason then called me back immediately screaming at me on the phone that I had hung up on him and then blasted very loud music into the phone, hoping my ear was close to the receiver! He called back one more time and left a screaming message on my answering machine that I had better not hung up him. I called back to tell him to stop calling my house and that I would be going onto Angie's List to report him and he still blasted the music into my phone. I was really surprised by this very unprofessional act and am glad I saw him for what he is before I gave him any of my money. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint about his incredibly unprofessional and harassing behavior.

DO NOT USE!!!! They do sub-par work and do not honor there guarantee. Needed some minor repairs done, workers sealcoated over dirt in a few places. No big deal to fix right? Noooooooo, acted like a complete jerk when called and asked to fix. Some how it was my fault the driveway was dirty!!!! Cleaning the driveway was part of the job and if it was done right they would not have needed to come back. DO NOT USE!!!! You will be sorry.
