We had what we thought was a good first meeting to get an estimate for installing a whole house generator. We head nothing so I followed up and they promised a written proposal in a few days. That was that last we have heard from them. Disappointing as their initial communication seeemd good but there just was no follow up so we went with another provider.

Fantastic. Ian (Sales) was extremely responsive and took the time to answer all my questions - he was genuinely interested in making sure I had all the information I needed to make a good decision. The install was fast and the installation team was very friendly - they took plenty of time after the install to walk me through everything I needed to know and answered all my questions. They cleaned up completely (couldnt even tell they were there, except for the new generator outside). Would hire them again in a second.

I highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: Very professional and knowledgeable. They were able to schedule me in for an appointment quickly and fix the wiring for my porch and den. He was so helpful he even helped me connect the hoses for my bathroom faucets. I highly recommend their services.

I had four estimates; Advanced Power gave the best assessment and the best quote. They arrived on time and completed the installation within the time frame promised. They were neat and clean! |This is a small company where the owners are also the Salesmen and Installers. This is a distinct advantage to the customer as questions or problems are addressed without delay. Description of Work: Excellent overall experience with my home generator install. Very responsive through the quotation process. Patiently answered all of my questions. Showed up on time and finished on time. Handled some minor changes in my circuit selections toward the end of the job with no complaints - even though it added about 45 minutes to their work. "We want to be happy with our work." was the only comment I got when I communicated the change. I actually got their name through Home Depot as the recommended installer for a Generac whole home generator with transfer switch. I took several quotes on this work and they were price competitive and very professional. I'd recommend them to anyone considering a similar job.

I had an initial discussion with the owner to have a house generator installed. He gave a good price. When I was ready to get a more definitive price and have a walk-through, I called and he never returned the call. Very disappointing, considering the price.

I looked through my records and found that I had left the member a message on 9/30/11 at 9:45 AM. I not sure what could have happened. We were extremely busy at that time due to the response from the recent storms and I may have missed a call. My apologies. Two things that I'm dedicated to: returning phone calls and showing up on time (or calling to advise of a change).

They were very professional. They were good guys. Their price was higher than everyone else so I went with somebody else. The guy was knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about. Their price was not the lowest. They were on time. They were very good company. I would probably use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Mohawk Power Systems to get an estimate for installing a generator. They quoted me $4400 and that was after the hurricane.

A couple of circuits were wrong at first. I'm no longer sure whether it was our fault or theirs (one of each, maybe), but they fixed them at no extra charge. We had some trouble getting them to call back, but there were reasons: (1) the big ice storm happened and they got very busy and (2) the business was changing ownership. They had the best price by far; we got quite a few quotes.
Description of Work: Installed an 8-circuit standby generator. When the power goes off, the generator, which runs on gas, automatically comes on. We have heat, TV, computer, telephone (FIOS), and certain electrical outlets.
