J Lindsley Roofing

I recieved several quotes and J Lindsley was no where near the lowest price but they seemed like the right fit for my home. The team was great to work with, they got the job done fast but the house leaked a few months later, I had water coming down the sides of my chimney, they quickly repaired it but it should have been done right the first time. While the crew was here their scissor lift punctured my septic tank, the crew ensured me that they fixed it. Months later the septic collapsed, the weight of their equipment compromised the integrity of the septic lid and their patch job was not working, I contacted J Linsdley numerous times and finally got an email from them saying they were looking into it and they would call me back, I did not revieve a call back so I emailed them and tried calling with no word from them. Their lack of communication with me on the issue really left me with a bad image of their company.

J. Lindsley Roofers gave me an immediate estimate the day after I called. They then scheduled the job earlier than originally thought. Materials were delivered early on the day of the scheduled work. The crew arrived soon after. They took great care to cover and protect our landscaping and doors and windows. They were organized, efficient and satisfactorily completed the job in a few hours. After cleanup, the area looked better than when they arrived. The foreman was very pleasant to talk with and answered all questions. Highly recommend this company. Thank you!

These are the nicest people to work with! We had recently moved into our home and the roof started leaking damaging two interior walls. J Lindsley Roofing sent their sales manager the next day, gave us the best estimate and sent the nicest crew of men who promptly repaired it. Would highly recommend this company!

All I got too say is that this crew is unbelievable! They are such professional an I didn't have my home worked on just looking at an days of crafting. Showed up promptly, performed all the work in a timely fashion and cleaned up all the mess when they were done. We are pleased.

The roofing went fine, everything is good. They didn't do it perfect the first time, but they went back and put the drip edge up. I wasn't real happy about the way they put the drip edge up because it's still leaking behind or below the drip edge. When I contacted them about the drip edge, they did come back and finish the work. The price was very reasonable. They came in, they got it done and they were out of here. Their cleanup was real good. The only thing I had to call them back on was this drip edge and they came back and finished that. They could have sealed the drip edge, caulking or whatever, to make it so that there are no drips in between where they connected it. Other than that, I don't have any leaking anymore.

8 guys on roof, 1 worker on the ground cleaning up. Excellent teamwork. Well oiled machine. I was not planning on watching them work. But it was so impressive that I did occasionally sit on my porch and watch them. They know what they are doing and work together well. It was amazing how fast they work, they are paying attention and work hard. It took 3 hours from arrival to departure. They were courteous when they arrived and also when they left a few hours ago. Checked the ground after they left and not a scrap of debris was anywhere. Great clean-up. Definitely professionals!!!!

The roofers came early that day (7:30am) given that temperatures were going to be in the 90s. They were a crew of about 10 roofers that quickly went to work and worked till about 4:30 that day. I went to work, so I was not able to observe them, but my neighbor who was at home and her landscaper, mentioned that they were impressed with how each roofer diligently worked on their tasks and had the proper equipment to do their jobs (i.e. a cherry picker type machine to hoist up roofing materials to the roof). Having seen them work on my roof, my neighbor said that she would keep them in mind in case she needed her roof replaced in the future. I noted that they used plywood panels to protect the windows. When the roof was completed, I did a quick walk around the house and did not see any debris laying on the ground. The work was completed in one and a half days. Overall, I thought they did a very nice job and would use them again.

His guys were very professional and showed up early and worked till the job was done. Even had a couple guys on the ground that were designated to make sure my property was clean. 2 days they were done n gone. My property looked like they were never there. I highly recommend them and would definitely with out hesitation use them again.

He came, gave a quote. He wasn't the cheapest but after reading all the reviews and checking the better business bureau, we decided to go with him. He gave us a time line and said it would be a month before he could start which was fine. We had gotten a ton of rain in that month and I had assume, it would have put him behind but it did not. He called when the metal came and put it all up the very next day. Was here at 7am and was done by 3pm. My roof looks fantastic. What I didn't like, the tarps they put down crushed my plants and someone broke one of my solar lights and neglected to tell me. That was my only complaint. As far as punctual, and delivering a good product....he did a good job.

Jim Lindsley and a large crew arrived around 8am and immediately set to work. They worked efficently and with a professional attitude. At one point in the job, the crew discovered that two of our skylights required replacement. They quickly procured new ones and installed them without missing a beat. Despite the fact that replacing two skylights was unplanned, the fact that they were able to install them and STILL complete the roof in a single day was most appreciated. During cleanup, the crew left the yard around our house CLEANER than when they'd arrived. Jim Lindsley and his crew deserve the highest praise! We recommend them to anyone else needing a new roof!

Jim Lindsley was the last contractor who viewed my property and the first to reply with an estimate. I chose his company based on his efficiency, reasonable price, a glowing word-of-mouth review from a recent client, and the 50-year Certainteed labor and material warranty that he offered. He made sure to contact me before showing up to do any work and was readily available for questions/updates (such as when weather pushed out the start date on the roofing job). His tree service did the brush clearing work on Aug. 29th and the roofing job was done Sept. 8-9. Roofing materials were delivered first thing in the morning on 9/8 and the crew showed up within a few minutes of that delivery. They worked past 8pm to complete the main house roof and returned a second day for the porch/garage roof & steps. The roof is sound and looks FANTASTIC. The porch steps/railings are sound and look OK. The work took two days instead of the one that Jim initially predicted, but I'm very pleased with the results.

He supplied us with a very accurate and detailed quote for "proposed" work. Unfortunately by time our insurance company decided to honor our claim J Lindsley's schedule was full.

Jim Lindlsey and his team did a phenomenal job on our roof! We have already recommended him to others. We had a failing roof which the prior owner had put over a worse roof so Jim's team removed the old roofs and decking and we replaced all of the decking. Jim himself came for the quote and then a final meeting once we had finalized our comparison of 6 potential roofers from Angies List. At the final meeting we added additional requests for new box vents and new clapboarding to replace the rotting ones. He has a great customer service focus and gave us a spot on competitive quote for the roof. The materials were excellent and he expained exactly what needed to be done and the rationale for his process and choice of materials. He was very patient and answered all of our questions and concerns.This is what homeowners need! The team showed up and we had a foot of snow on the roof and it was only 30 degrees and these guys made it look easy. In the process they found that a vent pipe had compromised cap and they pointed it out to us and fixed what could have become a real issue. I don't believe he even charged us for the repair and if he did it was done at a minmal cost. The new sky lights are high quality and look beautiful. His team worked well with another contractor we had onsite installing 2 new bathroom exhaust fans to the roof. Our 1983 vintage house looks beautiful now and is sound again. I got 3 estimates for replacing my roof. J Lindsley Roofing was not the cheapest but felt they were very competitive based on the material they used for their standard roofing jobs. I compared their offering line by line with the other quotes. I then called back with a few questions on the particulars in the quote of which answers were provided for all. I made my final selection and was advised how far out their jobs were to give me an idea of when the work could be accomplished. I was not in any time crunch so being part of their normal schedule worked fine for me. As I got closer I did call to check in to make sure I was still on the list and they advised that I would be getting another call in a week or so. I received the call early August and they came within a day or two of that call with my acceptance of the date. They did the job in 1 day, arriving after I left for work (7:30am) and were gone prior to the end of my work day which ends at 5pm. I expected some clean up around the yard when I got home but there was literally none that I could see in my first walk around of the house inspecting the job. Later I found little remnants of shingles in a few of the plant beds but literally small debris that was not noticeable. I paid for the job in full upon completion. A few months after the job was done, as part of some fall clean up, I was advised that my skylight edging was loose. I called the contractor who put in the skylight which advised me to "call the roofer". I was not alarmed with the loose edging to begin with and started with my contractor because he put it in. I called J Lindsley (on a Saturday morning) and let them know what the issue was and they responded immediately to the issue. There was no pointing fingers, just "we'll stop by and take care of it". Someone came on that following Monday and secured the edging, then explained in a phone call what they did. To this day, I believe the edging was comprised because of the initial install NOT because of something done during the roofing job. I cannot prove this but that's my gut. As advise to anyone shopping for a new roof, don't be sticker shocked by the price, it will not be cheap. If you have a skylight, call it out to the roofer and ask them how they will be roofing around the skylight. Check all the inside seals of the skylight after the roof has been done just in case. I would recommend this company for any roofing job at least for an estimate. Always ask for references of recent jobs as well as jobs 3-5+ years because you never know what can creep up as time goes by.

Arrived at the agreed time. Each worker went to there tasks. Roof stripped in about 2 hours. All materials put on roof as required. Workers polite and professional. Roof was finished by 5:00 pm. All waste picked up and removed. Roof look great

In both instances I was very pleased with every aspect of the work. The company and its owners/leaders are professional in every sense: they provided free and accurate estimates in terms of time and materials and performed the work as and when they promised. Any variations were promptly discussed and corrected (e.g., a skylight was damaged inadvertently and though I was not present there at the time, I was informed immediately and the skylight was replaced same day without question and with the same quality.) The roofing crew were very well organized and worked steadily the whole time they were there so everything got done properly. They clearly knew what they were doing and had the work site organized very efficiently. All the crew were friendly and industrious - reflecting the style of their leadership. The crew that did the siding work were equally organized and hard-working with the same friendly and considerate manner. And like the roofing crew they did excellent work. The business owner was there daily to inspect the work quality and make any corrections. The result was a beautiful job done. The other observation I would make is that every day the crews cleaned up the worksite so that everything was left in good appearance and condition. It was the kind of organization and work ethic that one could certainly admire. I even thought it would be great to work with them!!

This contractor is amazing. Did the job in one day, with high quality materials and experienced workers. Extremely neat, nice and professional. They left the property clean of any debris, (looked amazing when they left! probably better then when they came). Not even a nail left behind. Solved all our roof concerns and explained the process and conditions of our roof and the warrenty so we are confident. We are extremly satisfied with our new roof. Many of our neighbors commented on the neatness and professionalism of the job and wanted to know his name and number. We gladly gave it out! His estimate was not the lowest.. but the first.... he explained so much that we knew what to ask the next contractors to bid... they did not have the good answers this contractor had. I am glad we went with this Contractor as we KNOW the job was done right, quick and with quality materials. Will call this contractor again for anything we can!!!

Very professional! J. Lindsay stayed at the job until our roof was completed. All employees were polite and respectful of us and our home. Extra lumber was used and vent pipes were replaced at no additional cost. The house was protected with tarps and plywood from possible damage, and all debris was hauled away. We now have a beautiful new roof, and you could not tell that construction was done at our home that day. Work was done quickly and professionally. Great job.

When I called for the estimate the owner (Jim) answered which I thought was great. We agreed to meet for the estimate. He called ahead and was here 10 minutes early. He was very enjoyable to talk to and clearly a professional. The price was provided right away and we felt it was reasonable. Jim offered to order a square of the shingle we were thinking about using. The next day we decided on that color and as promised the following day he delivered some shingles and nailed a few in place to be sure we were happy with the choice. We made the appointment for the work which thankfully was a short wait. Then, with changes in his schedule he was able to come and do our roof almost a week earlier than planned. His crew (a great bunch of guys!) worked extremely hard and finished the entire job that same day. There were a few surprises under the old roof but everything was properly repaired. They took great pains to make sure the job was done right. These guys are very professional and don't cut corners. Everything was thoroughly cleaned up afterward and the new roof looks fabulous. I really don't think you could do better than J. Lindsley Roofing.
