Description of Work: They replaced a refrigerator pump. The office staff and the technician were friendly and professional. The technician was punctual, polite and knew what he was doing. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Paid the angie's list subscription to find Steve, a well and often reviewed large appliance repair company> He was the only company in my area who had more than just a couple of reviews. Called Steve to find they are closed for two weeks. Angies List stinks - I ended up using Yelp to find someone. And Yelp is free!

Description of Work: My old Amana gas range displayed a f3 code when I turned my oven on. I found Steve's Appliance located in Fresh Meadows, NY. I called Steve and made an appointment. He came, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and later installed the part. He explained before installing the part that the problem could be something other than the oven sensor. The f3 code occurred with the new part, and Steve indicated that it was a control unit problem. He called Amana to request the control unit and was told it was discontinued. Because of the expense of this control unit, Steve recommended replacing my Amana range. |My decision was then to purchase a new stove. Steve then offered model numbers of gas ranges for my review. I selected a wonderful GE model that Steve ordered from an appliance dealer that gave him a discount. |Steve disconnected my old range, arranged for its removal, the delivery of my new GE range, and then connected it and verified that the unit was operational and also that I was happy with the results. |I highly recommend Steve for his service, knowledge, attention to all details, and overall good humor.

Description of Work: Called Steve at 8am on a Saturday morning, mind you not just any Saturday but the weekend before Christmas! He picks up I tell him my dryer is not working, he tells me that he's leaving for the weekend! I say Steve I've got kids and without the dryer it will be H*** ! He takes my address and by 9:30am that same Saturday my dryer is fixed ! No inflated charge for RUSH SERVICE - NO IT'S THE WEEKEND SURCHARGE ! This guy is a true find in today's service industry ! I'm a life long customer ! Merry Christmas Steve !

Description of Work: I needed someone to determine why my dryer wasn't heating after I tried myself and got nowhere... Steve answered right away and came to the house the next day even with bad weather. He diagnosed the problem and gave me easy options for getting it repaired, very honest and good customer service!

Description of Work: He replaced my washing machine hoses and made sure that it was the hose that was the required manufacturer's hose for my washing machine. Something that wasn't initially done. He also performed the repair within a short timeframe.

Description of Work: Steve showed up and diagnosed the problem, the knob that controlled the water level was broken off and not accessible. He ordered the part and returned a few days later to replace the mechanisms. Also, he vacuumed a lot of lint that collected within the machine. He put a temporary knob and said he would mail or bring the actual knob. He was very professional and thorough.

Description of Work: He had returned to repair my GE dishwasher that was failing to drain. He discovered the blockage and stayed to be sure that there were no leaks and that the machine would drain properly following a cycle. A follow up the next week was also a great gesture of professionalism. Thank you.

Description of Work: Steve was a pleasure to work with. He arrived next day and gave us an honest assessment and recommendation on the condition of our refrigirator. We decided against having work done, but would call Steve again if need be.

Description of Work: Steve is great. This is the second time I've used him to repair an appliance and he knows his stuff. When my dryer didn't spin, I called him. He was here within two hours, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 15 minutes AND included lifetime repair on parts. The last time I used him he repaired my washer and I haven't had a problem since. He also checked out my refrigerator which was not working i the middle of summer. He knew that many people all over the country had the same problem with this model refrigerator and advised me to contact customer service to get it fixed since it was a design flaw. Further, he told me he had another client who had the same problem and the company repaired it for him with no charge. Steve said he would fix it if I wanted but urged me to save my money and contact the company directly. I did and they fixed it! He saved me several hundred dollars! He's honest, he's very competent and obviously good. I highly recommend him!
