Very good. It was the igniter. Steve fixed it even though he was going upstate to see about his house. Very good and very professional.

Excellently. Do not confuse this Steves Appliance Repair -- Steve Scianablo in Flushing -- with another of the same name but in capital letters -- Steve Moore. Mr. Moore may be quite competent but Steve Scianablo is the one with nearly 700 reviews, all positive, and the one who came to my house. I called him yesterday and described my problem. He warned me that our machine was old (12 years) and that it might not be repairable. It would cost $50 for his visit even if he could not fix it. It was worth it to me to find out if I needed a new machine. He came today, tested the machine, and said the pump was working well so that the problem was caused by an electronic malfunction. He also told me that, even if he could fix it, it would not be worth the money. He is very knowledgeable about machine structure and functional life, gave me advice on buying a new machine, told me that he could fix my dryer any time it did not operate properly but that washing machines of the type I have do not have a working life as long as the companion dryer and are not as easy to repair. He is direct, honest, reasonable-priced, and very willing to educate his customers. And, added bonus, he is a really nice guy.

I called Mr.Steve on Monday and arranged a visit for Tuesday. He was very punctual and was here Tuesday morning. He quickly identified the problem,and made his repair in no time at all. The price was veryreasonable and I was able to continue my Thanksgiving plans stress free!

Installation of the part was quick and the refrigerator is working perfectly

What a good guy. Called Steve because my dryer starting emitting a burning smell. Steve called me to confirm, arrived when he said he would and immediately took care of the problem. He took apart my LG dryer, completely cleaned it out, and found a buildup of material near the flame that was burning. He also switched out the flex tubing from the dryer to the wall and added clamps. Overall an honest guy who was prompt and fixed the problem.

Steve came within 2 hours of my call. He immediately recognized the problem and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. He was professional polite and promised to stand by his work. Fair price and the dryer works better than it ever had.

This is our second call to Steve's Appliance and again his response was prompt. He came to our home, diagnosed the problem - needed a new motor - and returned the following day with the necessary parts and completed the work in about 30 minutes. The dryer needed a new motor, and the belt and blower wheel were also replaced.

He was terrific. Diagnosed both problems, explained them well, and on the basis of the information he imparted, I decided to buy a new washer and have him to fix the dryer. He was a straight ahead decent guy, who actually seemed concerned about my problem and went about solving it in a very competent way without breaking my bank. He clearly knows his stuff and isn't full of %#@#. He went out an purchased the correct part and then fixed the dryer at a later date, which worked well for me.

Steve was extremely courteous and was able to come to my house the day after I spoke with him on the phone to fix my washing machine that wasn't draining or spinning. He came by on time and diagnosed the problem immediately. He had the part that he needed in his van and was able to get the washer working within minutes for a fair price of $125. Steve was a pleasure to deal with. He answered my phone call right away and told me he can be at my house the same day I spoke with him. He arrived on time and diagnosed all three appliances. He was extremely courteous and honest. There was nothing wrong with the washing machine or dishwasher, however my refrigerator fan/motor did need to be replaced. He had the part in his car and finished all the work within the hour. Many appliance repair man would take advantage of your lack of knowledge and tell you that you need repairs that don't exist, that was not the case with Steve. I would highly recommend him.

Diagnosed the problem, emptied freezer, defrosted coils, sopped up all the water, repaired unit, reshelved everything and broom swept before pushing the unit back in place--all under 1 hour. Cash only. 6 month warrantee on work and parts provided. $75 consult, as part of overall $300 repair. Not chump change, but hey, it was hot out and he showed up same day and saved me from having to throw out a lot of food and from having to take another day off of work to do the repair.

Let me start off by saying he's very knowledgeable with common appliances. With that said he was literally in my home for less than 5 minutes. Diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator in less than a minute, went out to his truck to retrieve the replacement part and switched it out. Charged me $150 cash for the repair when the part cost less than $10. What happened to the $50 diagnosis? I understand we all have to eat but I feel as though that's extremely excessive! There's no reason to overcharge hard working people that much! Have some respect for your customers!

Steve fixed my oven a couple of years ago on Christmas eve and I remembered what a great job he did. So I picked up the phone and called him again when my refrigerator needed help. He diagnosed the problem and came back the next day with the parts needed and fixed everything in an hour+. My refrigerator is working perfectly and I am grateful to Steve once again.

After Steve finished his work my frig was up and running and ready to be restocked. At 65yrs old I've dealt with all sorts of tradesmen and I can assure you that his demeanor, tools, knowledge of trade and his willingness to answer my question earns him a 5 star rating.

Steve returned my call in under 15 minutes, and happened to be 2 town away. He came right over and diagnosed the problem, which he could fix, but advised it was cheaper to buy a new machine since ours was 10 years old. I will definitely call him the next time we need an appliance repair: fast, honest and responsive.

could not have been better. Called about 4pm & by 7pm the repair had been done. (times are approximate) for what I thought was a very fair price. courtious , honest & reliable -- it is an 11 year old machine & I was considering just getting a new one but thought for a $50 service call let me just see. $200 and it is running like new.
