Steve's Appliance Repair

Steve called back within 5 minutes and had the problem with my stove repaired within 2 hours of me speaking to him. No BS- I told him what was wrong and he told me what it would take to make it right. Fast and courteous service that is very reasonably priced- absolutely no hesitation to use again- if there was an A+ category I'd use it.

Excellent service. Calls were promptly returned and his advice saved me hundreds. After asking for suggestions on a machine to buy, he recommended a brand & model and suggested where I could find it at a good price. The machine was exactly what I wanted, a no-frills powerhouse. Steve noticed and thankfully told me my dryer's ventilation system was a dangerous fire hazard. He didn't do that type of repair but told me what needed to be done. His advice was later confirmed by the person who re-routed the system. I was quoted and was billed just the cost of the service call. He didn't tack on any additional charges.

I called Steve's number Sunday. An appoinitment was made for Monday pm; he called early Monday am to say he could come "right now" amd he was at my house at 8:45am. By 9:25. when he left -- to return later in the day with the replacement part -- the refrigerater was in temporary working order. He called in the afternoon to report that he had the replacement part (a Tmer-Defrost unit), brought it over and quickly installed it. I paid him the agreed-upon, estimated price. He was efficient, businesslike and kept his word!i

Steve called to make appt. and followed up on day of appt with phone call. He arrived on time .He identified the issue immediately. He had the part with him. He was finished within an hour. Steve was prompt and knowledgable. His price was reasonable.

We have used Steve in the past to fix our stove and it was a great experience -so when my icemaker stopped working, we felt confident calling Steve. He responded to my message immediately and set-up a time to come by. When he came, he evaluated the problem and ordered the part. When he came back and installed the part, we paid him the balance. He was going to be away for a couple of days, but asked me to call him to let him know if it was working properly. Unfortunately, it wasn't working. I didn't want to call Steve on his time off, but he called me the next morning just to follow up! I was very impressed that he would take the time to follow-up. He said he knew now that he had to replace the unit but it wouldn't cost anymore - he would remove the original part and replace the unit. I was a little worried that it would end up costing much more. But Steve was true to his word - he came back and installed the unit and did not charge us anything more. The icemaker is working perfectly now! Steve is knowledgeable, honest and professional. If I have any problems in the future with appliances, I will call Steve.

I called Steve, left a message as instructed and he came in 2 hours. He asked for 50 dollars cash. I read the previous reviews and know that if we don't want his repair, he will charge the 50 dollars for the service call. OK. He came and said he need to check the evaporator fan motor and let us know the price. In less than 5 minutes, he left and with 2 screws of the back panel missing (which he tried to put back and any way let it loose and dropped) He has no further calls to us without even let us know the further plan for repairing. NOTHING. And he took 50 dollar cash for this 5 minutes treat and also left a back panel with screws missing. SO, if you only want a quick diagnostic view, which he also mentioned, he is not sure if the problem of the refrigerator is the fan motor or mother board. His manner is polite, if what you mean polite is to say "how are you" like the emergency room doctor. To me, he is not professional. Not an honest person.

He was totally professional and tried in vain to save my washer. He was able to delay the need for me to buy another washer immediately . he was also honest and told me not to repair it agin . The original provider coulde not come because he was so busy HOWEVER he sent another person and he did a fabulous job

He did the job. He fixed my fridge its working now. He also said that this would fix himand wont have anymore problems, if there are problems he would fix them for free.

Steve was supposed to arrive at noon but he arrived at 10:45. Steve won't take checks, he only wants to deal in cash. He wanted a couple hundred dollars cash or nothing. So, if you don't have a pile of cash in your house, I don't think you'll have a good experience with Steve. I was offended by his refusal to take my check and let him know it.

My husband called Steve and explained the issue with our washing machine not draining so it would not go through the washing cycle. Steve had a pretty good idea just from the description what the issue was. He was able to see us quickly, fitting into our schedule. He was polite and professional and explained exactly what the problem was and what he was doing to fix it. Basically we needed the washing machine pump replaced. It took him a matter of just a few minutes and it was working fine!

it went fine, he responded promptly to my phone calls, advised me that the service charge would be deducted from the actual work price if done, would also honor the angie's list coupon if work was done and made several recommendations as to how to solve my problems... he was local and personable and knowledgeable, about as good as anyone could and should be!

The tenants were there, they said he was nice, did the work and was fast. They had nothing negative to say about him.

My oven ignitor was not working. I checked Angie's List and found Steve's had by far the most and best reviews. I called Steve early Monday morning and explained my problem. He was very busy but was able to come by and check my oven. Steve replaced the ignitor and made sure it worked properly before he left. In addition he gave me a years warranty on parts and labor. He is the best! My oven breaks during a heat wave , yes I was cooking, no air conditioning and my oven is repaired before lunch. Steve responded promptly and timely. I would use him again and recommend him to others.

Thank you, Steve! My washing machine was leaking. I called Steve on a Friday morning, and although extremely busy, he was at my house that afternoon! You just don't get that kind of service anymore. Very satisfied with his work and price. Great service, courteous and speedy repair! Can't ask for more than that. I would definitely recommend Steve with confidence!

After trying to go with Sears to repair our Kenmore dryer for TWO WEEKS, and dealing with Sear's incompetency (kept rescheduling on us), we found Steve on Angie's List. He arrived the same day we called, as he squeezed us in at the end of his work day, knew exactly what parts needed to be replaced by just hearing the problem I was having over the phone, arrived, fixed it and that was that. I would recomend Steve to anyone in a heartbeat. I am overly satisfied with him and his work. You NEVER usually get a repair man the same day you call, but Steve came to my rescue. Thank you, Steve.

My dishwasher was not draining and I called Steve. He was a little difficult to schedule because Angie's List has made him a fellow in huge demand but he kept in contact with me and after three days of trying we finally scheduled an appointment. He arrived with smiles (that in itself was a shocker), he schooled me in the folly of buying high end appliances that are made just as cheaply as low end appliances (none made to last past the warranty), and he told me upfront what the cost would be in the best case and worst case scenarios. Thankfully, it turned out to be a best case scenario and the dishwasher was fixed in less than a half hour. Pleasant, knowledgeable and fairly priced - I put his number in my address book, cellphone and computer! Thank you Steve.

I called up on Sunday at about 2pm and Steve informed me that he could come by sometime between 4pm-6pm which was great. Not only was he punctual, but he assessed the problem in a matter of minutes and had it taken care of in less than an hour. Truly amazing prompt and efficient service, I would definitely call him again.

performed work thoroughly and quickly. completely Cleaned up lint that collected. He also advised me that an irconditioner I asked him to check for mold growth, was very clean and didnt needed to be cleaned, just to spray fabreeze, and clean the filter and fins.

Steve worked really hard to fix my dishwasher, the door would not stay up and he replaced that part. The door latch didn't close and he order a replacement part and worked on that too. Also, my refrigerator was running hot and he saw that my fan as not working due to a defective motherboard and he was able to replace that part on the spot.

He came the day after we called. He was very knowledgable. He told us how to adjust the machine to prevent the vibrating, and it worked. We were only charged for the visit. Our machine has been working fine ever since. We would highly recommend him.

Steve came over our house and fix our dryer. Steve said it was quick and easy fix he also showed my husband how to fix it. So if it should ever happen again my husband could fixed it . So that we would not have to be charged again or get scam by someone over charging us for something we could fix . We were very impress with Steve. Steve is a very honest guy who does not take advantage of people . We will reccommend Steve to all our Friend and Family.

I came home from a weeks vacation in Mexico with a weeks worth of dirty laundry late in the evening on July 3. On the morning of July 4th I started to do some of the laundry. My washer would not extract the water. So I started to wring out my half washed cloths full of detergent. I was so frustrated when my phone rang it was my friend and neighbor called me to welcome me home from vacation I began to tell her my delema. She told me she got the name of Steves Appliance repair from Angies List and she was pleased with the service she recieved and gave the phone number. I was going to wait until the 5th of July to call because it was a Holiday. She said to call and leave a message. I called and Steve himself answered. I could not believe that he could be at my home to check out the washer within 1 hour. On the 4th of July, a Holiday. I was so happy and excited that he was coming to do the repair that day with in 1 hour. He arrived at my home about 45 minutes from when I hung up the phone. He was able to tell me how much it would cost and that he had the part on the truck and could fix it for me in about 20 minutes. I told him I never expected such fast service and to by all means to do the job. He completed the job so quickly and I was able to start washing my vacation cloths before I had to leave for a 4th of July BBQ. Steves Appliance service was not only prompt with his service, came to my home on a Holiday and did the repair properly giving me a 1 year warrenty on the part and service. He was also a very pleasant person to deal with. I will recommend Steves Appliance Repair and will keep his number in my phone book under excellent service for future repairs. Awesome. Called Steve on July 4, and we agreed he would try to come today, which he did. Entire process took about half an hour. Steve was amiable, efficient and professional. We have used him before and had same results!
