Steve's Appliance Repair

We are repeat customers. Last time, Steve restored our refrigerator which was not keeping cold until Steve came. This time, he restored our stove after a fire left burnt plastic and metal attached to the inside parts of the stove, which Steve cleaned out. He also addressed an issue with the dishwasher for no extra charge; we appreciated that and gave him an extra tip. Steve takes a lot of pride in his work and his word; he came when he said he would and repaired all the issues to our satisfaction.

When Steve showed up, I knew I had the right person for the job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. It took him about 2 minutes to diagnose the problem! Now, the exceptional thing about Steve is he explained what caused the problem, and he also told me how to fix it, if it happens again! I think that's a rare quality in a service tech! I would definitely call Steve again!

. II submitted a review on the same day, Feb. 5th, and don't understand why it did not post. However, I will say again that Steve was prompt, professional and assessed the problem quickly. He brought the part needed the next day and fixed the machine in a timely manner. He advised us on ways to get a longer life from the dryer. His quick response to our problem and fair price will warrant our calling him for any future appliance repairs and highly recommend him to others.

Steve was very responsive from the point until even after the repair was completed. He was on time, professional and completely the job quickly. I would definitely use him again to repair our appliances.

Well I called Steve on a Sunday. He was at my home within the hour! It took him about 10 minutes to discover the problem, which was a clamp came loose and water was spilling out of the dishwasher. He had a clamp in his truck and voila! Dishwasher fixed. He also gave me some great tips regarding warranty information. I was only charged the service call fee of $50.00. I'd give this guy AAAs if I could.

Yesterday I noticed my refrigerator was not working properly. This morning I called Steve, and in the midst of a snow storm (!), he found his way to my house. He quickly evaluated the problem and promptly determined the cause. He carried a wide array of parts in his truck, and was able remove the defective part and replace it with a new one. The refrigerator is now operating as it should, and all this was accomplished within two and a half hours of my phone call! I have always in the past called the manufacturer for repair assistance for my appliances, and I usually had to wait days or longer for an appointment. Often parts had to be ordered before a repair could be completed. With Steve, I had my refrigerator fixed promptly, and I don?t have to worry about it anymore. In addition to being prompt, Steve is experienced and knowledgeable and has a very friendly personality that makes him easy to deal with. I will certainly call Steve in the future for my appliance repair needs, and I unreservedly recommend him.

Amazing! Swift and prompt service by a courteous professional! Steve arranged to come and look at the dryer to assess the problem. When he arrived he discovered that he was able to perform the service there and then. He gave me the option to come back the next day as previously arranged or to do the repair then. I opted to have the repair done immediately. Steve was in and out within an hour and the repair was completed satisfactorily. He explained every step of the way what he was doing and stuck to his original price even when discovering more problems than he originally thought. steve was very fair in figuring out if he could or could not repair the stove. he ordered the part and installed it. he was on time and said what he was going to do and followed up on it. great job.

Steve was very efficient and cooperative. He exhibited a good attitude and a knowledgeable store of information suited to our needs. He called quite a few times as he was obtaining parts to keep us apprised of the progress, which was very quick. He arrived promptly, worked quickly, explained all the issues involved and made the experience pleasant and satisfying. We definitely will use his service again and have already recommended him to others which we will continue to do. Considering some of our previous aggravating experiences for various appliances, including for the same Viking oven, with other service companies this was a delightful change.

Dishwasher was not filling properly with water. Steve came on a Sunday, diagnosed the problem as the Solenoid valve and immediately ordered a replacement. When he found that it would take a month to get the part, he found a substitute part that fit, installed it and tested it to make sure it worked. He then promised to come by and replace it with the actual part if the substitute caused any problems. He also did a thorough cleanup when he finished. In short, he was prompt, thorough, professional, reasonable and neat.

Steve came to look at GE Profile Oven. The unit was shutting down in the midst of cooking. At first Steve thought it could be repaired. The oven was about 12 years old. After receiving the new part Steve explained to us that there were complications involved in a repair. The new part was not an exact match for the old part. After discussion with Steve we decided it was best to order a new unit. We ordered from an appliance store recommended by Steve, that delivered the unit this morning. Steve showed up and installed the new unit. We are very pleased with the appearance of the oven and expect the performance to be equal to the appearance. When we first called Steve he responded quickly and was here that afternoon. Phone calls were returned promptly, his cost was very fair, he was knowledgeable about the appliance, and all of our questions were answered. We are very satisfied with Steve's service and appreciate his honesty and his mechanical ability. We would call Steve again if we had a problem with an appliance and will certainly give his info to friends. By the way - the price of the oven was less than any of the local stores.

Steve came the same day we called him. His repair is excellent and the price is reasonable. He even called the next day to make sure that the washer is in working order. We are very satisfied with his service and would call him again if we need any other repair.

I had a dishwasher that wasn't draining, after taking apart the inside drain and trap it looked like it was working but then I noticed it was leaking a good amount into the basement below. After looking at the amount of water coming from the bottom I didn't want to waste time trying to find out what the problem was. I called Steve's company and got a call back a few minutes later and he asked if he could come by that day. He came within 3 hours. He ran it a couple of times and determined that when I drilled back a screw into the base I missed the hole and ended up drilling into the plastic. It would have taken me a lot of time and frustration to eventually figure that out, but thats what I was paying him for. He told me where I can find the plastic weld to fix the hole. I am grateful for his honesty, based on the amount of water pouring out he could of easily charged me lots of money by telling me to get parts that i didn't need. He was quick, professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest. I will definitely use him in the future for any other appliance issues.

i called first Sears which i have a product sevice/warrenty with them which they manage to sell me few months ago. sears told me they can send a technician only in 12 days for the repair. having large family this was not an option for me. i found steve at angies list and he is amazing. steve was extremely responsive. I gave him a call on friday and he came the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the parts to do the job. steve called me few days latter to make sure all is well. Overall, we were very pleased.

EXCELLENT. VERY PLEASED WITH THE JOB/

I called Steve yesterday and told him that the door to my front loading Frigidaire washer wouldn't lock and so could not work. He told me he could come by either the next day or Saturday. Well, he called me the next day (today) and told me he would be by between 2 and 4 pm. He called me when he left the prior job he was on and came by right on time. Steve is a very knowledgeable guy and a gentleman to boot. He knew exactly what part to bring and did the repair within minutes. Now my washer is working like new and there's a 1-year warranty on the part he installed. What could be better? I have used Steve previously. I found him on Angie's list. All the glowing reviews that you read are all true! He has my highest regard and recommendation for his repair service.

I have a very old home and unfortunately a very old kitchen. My wife and I have plans to renovate the kitchen but it's not in the budget just yet. We started getting a gas smell from our oven and I immediately called a few repairman on Angies List. I ran into a few issues because my stove is a Caloric and very old, meaning very few people have the ability to fix it. The first time Steve came, he was able to identify the smell was the result of a faulty valve. He called parts distributors but because my stove is so old, we couldn't get a replacement valve. He promised to come up with a solution and would call me in a day or 2. Two days later he called me to come over and fix it. Steve knew how much we liked our stove. It was an old double oven and worked incredibly well, except for the minor leak. Replacing it wasn't an option for us and Steve was dedicated to fixing it. He spent about an hour taking it apart in order to plug up,the leak and was able to get everything back together and working better than before. Steve was incredibly helpful and professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help fixing their appliances. Thank You Steve!

Steve was fantastic. He is the best repairman I have ever hired. He even came over with a foot of snow on the ground. He gave me an excellent price and would highly recommend him.

I called Steve and arranged for him to meet me at an apartment that I had just purchased to look at a refrigerator that was not working. He was there on time. It appeared that the compressor was gone. He attempted to replace a relay which hopefully would have done the job. It worked for a few minutes and the compressor died. The unit was not fixable. Steve arranged for me to purchase a new one at a great price with next day delivery. Steve was professional and courteous. His fees were reasonable and there were no surprises. I would definitely recommend him to others as I would surely use his services again.

Steven provides a good service and knows what he talking about. I needed a part once and he was able to order that for me. He also normally comes out the same day I call him.

Steve is a gem. He returned my first call within FIVE minutes and promptly set up an appointment. He worked within my time frame and was professional and he knew what the problem was immediately. Steve came on time. He diagnosed the problem within minutes and explained everything to me. He is very professional. I also told him that the self-cleaning mechanism on the oven wasn't working. He told me not to fix it and why. Steve gave me a year parts and labor guarantee for the work done. He also gave me a price to fix the broiler, should it break in the future.
