Steve's Appliance Repair

Steve is very reliable. He answers his phone calls promptly and arrives on time. His charge for a house call is very reasonable. He looked at the thermostat and determined that there was nothing wrong with it. He made an adjustment to the settings for the freezer and the refrigerator which seems to have helped the problem. He also said that repairing a refrigerator that is 15 years old is not worth the cost. He also checked the gasket and gave us some advise to keep the freezer tightly closed. That also worked.

Steve's a keeper! (To use a fishing expression.) I called him this morning for a repair to a refrigerator in one of my apartments. He was already on a job, and warned me that he had a couple other jobs to do before he would be able to get to me in the late afternoon. It was, therefore, a pleasant surprise when the tenant called to tell me that he had arrived and already assessed the job by 3;15 p.m. or so. He told me what he expected to do to rectify the problem, quoted me a price (which I thought was quite acceptable!), and got right to it. An hour-or-so later he was all done, the tenant was happy and, consequently, so was I. Steve very obviously "knows his stuff", is very committed to ensuring a positive experience for his clients, and an extremely personable gentleman. I have used Angie's List contractors in NJ, NY and CO with varying degrees of success and satisfaction; today's experience with Steve is one of my best yet. EMJ

I called Steve on Monday,a holiday he reached out to me on that same day and scheduled a visit for the next day. Today he called confirmed a time an was prompt in his arrival. He was quick informative and personable. A true professional.

Steve is a great Guy He came at time, start working right the way and he did a good job. The price was fair. :)

Steven arrived onsite with continued communications during the day about his whereabouts. No 6-8 hour window like a typical appliance repair company. After diagnosing the issue, he provided a honest evaluation and recommendation. He actually advised that it may be best for me to use the refrigerator as a secondary unit due to its age and unknown history. He could have easily made a few hundred dollars from me but id not take advantage of the situation. Instead, he cleaned the areas that were filled with dust near the fan/motor, recommended I replace the internal filter as a inexpensive remedy to the ice/water issue. Overall, very trust worthy individual. Glad I have angeislist!

Steve was able to adjust his schedule and came 1 hour after I called. He figured out the problem right away, however once he took the clutch out he was able to see that there was an additional problem. Fortunately he had all the parts in his van and was able to fix everything in about an hour. Steve was personable and professional, he explained everything he was going to do so that I would understand and asked for my approval before proceeding. I watched him work the whole time he was there and he cleaned up the area wen he was completed.

He showed up on time and gave a very honest opinion about our dishwasher. We definitely would call him again if we had any issues with any other appliance.

Steve did a wonderful job communicating with us and once here diagnosed problems with two appliances. He repaired a burner and replaced our oven igniter in no time, all the while making sure we saw and understood what he was doing. He then diagnosed a problem with our dishwasher and was very frank with us about the involved repair it would need and the potential cost. He gave some some alternate ideas to deal with it. We appreciated his honesty, straight talk and his good work. We found him via Angie's List and we are glad we did. We would certainly use him again.

FIRST VISIT-DIAGNOSIS OF DEFECTIVE MOTHER BOARD- ORDERED SECOND VISIT- REPLACED MOTOR BOARD AND ORDERERD UPPER BOARD THIRD VISIT REPLACED BOTH PARTS.

GREAT SERVICE! I called Steve around 9:00 Sunday morning. I didn't expect much but Steve called back within the hour and was at my house before 12:00. He explained all the steps he was going to try and proceeded to get the compressor working. The fan still wasn't working so he told us he'd bring a motherboard back the next day to see if that will restart the fan. He called later on that day to make sure the fridge was still working. He came on Mon. with the motherboard and I now have a working fridge. He called again that day to see if all was still ok. I was impressed with Steve. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and he works on Sun!! The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend him.

Steve quickly realized the problem related to clock in the oven and suggested disconnecting the clock as it was not working and could cause further problems. He also explained it could be costly (if not impossible) to obtain a replacement clock. We called in the problem about 10 AM. Steve arrived around 12 noon and completed the repair in about 15 minutes. He was courteous, professional and offered good advice.

he knew exactly what was wrong and after changing the damaged part, the dryer immediately started working well. Impressed with the fact that Steve returns calls quickly when you leave a message, and is available almost immediately.

Called Steve in the AM and he called back right away. He arrived the same day and diagnosed the problem immediately. He gave me some options and explained the problem. I am a woman and some people do not bother to do this because they feel that you won't "get It". He was friendly and professional. The job went smoothly and the price was fair. I would certainly use him again. Forgot to mention that he called back the next day to see if the machine was working properly.

I had a leak in my refrigerator/freezer. It would collect water on the bottom of the freezer and freeze up, and then it would leak. He came out on a Sunday, and was able to correct the leak. I was very happy with the service overall, and he is going to come back another day to fix my ice maker.

Contacted Steve. He was very responsive and scheduled a time to come. He came and diagnosed the problem and ordered necessary part. He came back the following week when the parts came in and took care of it without a problem. Overall, he was very responsive and straight forward.

Steve responded to my phone call immediately, and scheduled me for the next available appointment. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and explained everything he was doing in detail. He does excellent work and I would not hesitate to use him again for all appliance repairs.

Went great. This guy is the best. Prompt. Inexpensive. Experienced.

Steve returned my call promptly and was willing to come to the house that same day but accommodated my schedule by coming the next day instead. He called before arriving, was polite and willing to listen to my description of the situation. He was able to diagnose the cause of the problem (when the machine filled, some of the water was leaking out the side of the machine and onto the floor) and had the necessary supplies with him to fix the problem immediately. I have used the machine since the repair and everything worked perfectly.

Steve was readily available. His phone service is set up to reach him immediately -- you won't play lot of telephone tag with him. He made the appointment, called to confirm and arrived on time. His tried the least expensive fix first, and said it might not work but worth the try. As it turned out I did need to replace the unit and he got it for me at a reasonable price and installed in quickly.

Steve did an amazing job! He fixed the freezer no one could fix for years. Steve fixed it quickly and surely knew what he was doing. Very pleased with his work and will definitely use him in the future.

Steve was very attentive, knew what parts needed to be replaced in my washing machine and made sure that it worked just perfectly. He really wants to get to the bottom of it and he does everything possible in his power to do so while being open and honest with his customers.

Steve advised me of an excellent machine that is available, when I am ready he will assist me in its purchase/installation/old machine removal. I was very impressed with Steve, I highly recommend him to others and will defitnetly use again.

I joined Angie's List this morning because I needed service repair for my dishwasher and refrigerator I saw that Steve had many positive reviews. I left a message and he returned my call very promptly. He came when he said he would and he diagnosed the problems right away. What I thought would be major, turned out to be very minor, and what impressed me the most was Steve's "honesty"and knowledge.

The refrigerator started working again very quickly.

Came over a few hours after we called, figured out the problem, and did the repair. Thanks, Steve!
