Steve's Appliance Repair

Steve was prompt to reply on my phone call and prompt to come to repair my oven. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it perfectly. Steve then gave me advices on how to avoid problems on my oven in the future. He also advice me on dryer and washer maintances as well. Great guy. Thanks Steve.

I called Steve as the washer dryer stopped working suddenly. Steve made sure he made the house visit the same day and provided detailed explanation on the issue and reasonable estimate to fix. Super happy with the service. Have called Steve before when gas heater was giving issues as well couple of years back. Highly recommend him.

Steve was extremely responsive to my service call. I called the day after new years and he came to perform the service within 4 hours of calling! The problem was identified and fixed in a quick amount of time and for a fair price. He was professional and his work was clean. Very Good!

This was an EXCELLENT experience. Steve was prompt to reply on the phone and prompt to come to repair it. He diagnosed the problem as a burned wire and repaired it perfectly. He checked the door switch and timer (and its worth saying he could have just as well told me it was a $300 timer and replaced it, I would not have known the difference. But he was honest, educated me on the problem and also told me a lot about current market of appliances. Steve deserves the "A" rating across the board.

Steve recommended a place for me to purchase a new dryer at a great price after my old dryer failed and assisted with the install. Great customer service and reasonable pricing, THANX!!!

Steve came to our house the day we called about a leaky refrigerator. He took one look and was able to diagnose the problem. We discussed the required repair and agreed on a fee. Steve was very patient and described to us the cause of the problem. Steve returned after the required part came in and went right to work. He was quick, neat and very pleasant and our fridge is working better than ever. I highly recommend.

I was having problems with my dishwasher so I called Steve to make an appointment. He came out the next day. Very personable. Very Professional. It's not surprising that he has hundreds of positive reviews. Without question, I'd recommend his to a friend or family member. Thankfully it was a simple solution. Didn't try to scam me for parts, labor, etc. By the time he left, the dishwasher was running perfectly.

It went very well. He checked out the stove. He gave me some advice on my stove. He was very nice and sociable. He didn't charge me for the advice. I was very satisfied.

He was gracious, remembered the previous service visit, and inquired whether things had worked out. It had and is still working.

I called Steve on a Saturday morning as he was approaching Bridge for a weekend getaway. When I told him of my pre-Holiday emergency, he turned around and came to my house. He got the fridge working on a temp basis to get me through the weekend and he ordered parts. He returned after the weekend as promised with the parts and he completed the repair. Very competent, worked efficiently. Responsive, reliable, and professional. I highly recommend Steve. I will use his services for all my appliance repair needs.

I had purchased a new gas dryer and needed to have it installed. I called Steve the day after Christmas and to my surprise he answered the phone. He said he would come the next day in the morning by 10am. He was punctual, courteous and professional. He hooked up the dyer and had it working quickly. I recommend Steve and will used him again

Steve is remarkable. I called him Many times with questions. He always responded in a timely manner. . Don't know that I have ever had better service.

He repaired out dryer before and we called him for our washer...but alas it was time for a new one.

He came and checked the refrigerator, decided it was not worth repairing due to being very (19yrs) old refrigerator. Advised on product purchase, Gave discount of $10 on service call. Called back to see if l purchased the new equipment. Advised me on getting warranty due to the fact he know that appliances these day don't last. Appliance not hooked up by the company, they gave me 2 days wait period. I called Steve and he came within 2hrs, got my appliance hooked up, gave me $25 discount on the fee quoted by the company.

This is the second time that Steve has come to work on this dishwasher. The last time I had a small leak because I accidentally drilled a screw into a plastic part of the dishwasher and couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from. This time my dishes were dirty and not getting cleaned. He determined that the screws at the base of the dishwasher we're not in tight enough, (its a dish washer that is as cheap as they come. The plastic isn't even threaded so it doesn't stick.) therefore the pump to clean the dishes was not pushing out the necessary amount of water. He was here for a few minutes and figured that out. Again, he was honest and told me what I need to do to get the most out of this dishwasher. It was money well spent because I did not have to spend the time money and effort and trying to figure out this problem which I originally thought was the inlet valve. Anyone looking for an honest assessment on an appliance to see if you should buy a new one or fix the current one you have should definitely call Steve.

He informed us that the stove was outdated and we would need to get a new one.

Steve was great. He showed up right away and diagnosed our problem with our dishwasher and came back a few days with the parts and finished the repair quickly and neatly. Would use again.

A couple of weeks ago, our dryer stopped heating up. Although it never had a problem until now, it's 20 years old! We thought that maybe it was time to replace it. . . Until we started shopping for a new dryer and got sticker shock! So I found Steve on Angies's list. He had excellent reviews, and had done a lot of work locally. We played phone tag a few times while i tried to figure out when I could be home. He followed up with me, and made a real effort to meet my schedule. Steve arrived with tools, evaluated the problem quickly and professionally, gave me a price on the spot, and was able to make the repair immediately. Once he showed me the problem, it was obvious. The igniter was in pieces, and the holder and leads were burned black. The repair required two different small parts, one of which is hard to get, and he had both in his van. He had a painfully cramped space to work in, and the light was not good, but he was patient, and careful, and had a good sense of humor. He also put the dryer on a firmer footing with a spare piece of 2x4, and gave me good advice about another problem I was having with the house, based on his experience and years in the area, and I appreciate it. The next time I have trouble with an appliance, Steve is the only person I will call.

Our Maytag gas dryer (which came with the house when we moved in) stopped working. It is approximately 10 yrs old and the machine was fine, it was turning, timers etc. were all working. The heat was not coming on. Did research online and decided to call someone. Checked online reviews and Steve came up to the top. Called him and he said that he could come right away (a couple of hours) and we said fine. While here, he gave various other suggestions on our Sub Zero fridge (which he does not service) and our GE washer. Gave us a few tips on keeping the dryer vent clean - which it was. He quoted a price and said that it would have to be in cash. Had to go look for the heating element (to fire up the gas in the dryer) in his truck as he does not overstock them. He came back in, plugged the heating element in, bolted all the covers and door and the dryer started to work again. This repair was done on Monday and today is Wednesday and we got a call this morning from Steve asking as to how the machine was working. Told him that we used it once after it was fixed and everything seems to be fine. Steve mentioned that he would come back and fix if there are any other trouble relating to this part for free, within the next 3 months or so. We wish that all vendors were this honest with pricing and this punctual with work. Yes, most online research shows that other vendors may have charged the same amount that we paid Steve, but we would work with Steve anytime. We would strongly recommend him over and above anyone else.

He did a great job. He was honest and thorough and even came out on a holiday weekend. He also delivered the repair faster than originally contracted for.

After a recent move, we learned 2 electric coils on older stove not working. Steve quickly assessed problem and showed us coils were fine but that it was the connections and wiring needed replacing. Showed us what was working too and didn't fix more than was needed. Fair price for very responsive and complete service.This was the third time we used Steve for appliance service. He had helped us with 2 different refrigerators in our old house in the past few years. Will use again if we need appliance repair. Highly recommend.

As usual, Steve was terrific. We had spoken the Friday before Thanksgiving, and I told him that my Maytag Neptune washer was giving me problems. He advised me that this might be a situation just like I had with my Maytag Neptune dryer - the electronics wreaked havoc with the machine, and I ended up replacing it (after just 8 years). I could read the writing on the wall - I did not want to waste time having Steve try to diagnose the problem when I was sure that we would end up needing to replace the washing machine. Plus, it was holiday time and I had a house full and needed to have a working washer. Steve gave me advice on a replacement washer to research in the meantime until he could come by after the weekend. Steve came by on Tuesday, to see if it was a simple issue (of course not-it's a Maytag). When I decided to replace the washer, he called his wholesaler immediately, and got me a great price and a delivery for the next morning! Steve came right after the delivery, and installed the washer for me. It is working beautifully, and I have learned my lesson with those electronic appliances - the less bells and whistles to break, the better! I can ALWAYS count on Steve to do the right thing.

Steve showed me that the door to the refrigerator was not closing completely. He assessed the situation and said he would return after he picked up the parts he needed. As he has done previously, he was true to his word and the repair was done. Steve is very conscientious and responsive and does a good repair job. I would definitely use him again.
