Steve's Appliance Repair

Steve came in to fix a leaky drainhose from my dishwasher to the undersink plumbing, after the service contractor refused cover it and the plumber, who diagnosed the leak and wrapped it temporarily, refused to do the installation. On a first visit, Steve tried to plug the leak and was pretty sure it would work, but said he would come back and do the big job if it didn't. It didn't, and Steve came back, cutting his weekend getaway short, and dropping the cost of the first service call from the total bill. He pulled out the dishwasher, put the whole thing back together again, and cleaned out the pump as well. I will certainly call on him again -- he is honest, efficient, and dedicated to doing the job right.

Fabulous! Came the same day that I called which helped me out. He diagnosed the problem...washer wouldn't agitate or drain. Replaced one part and then a new pump. It works beautifully now. Thank you Steve.

Great experience overall. Refrigerator started pouring water from the freezer on a Sunday. Gave Steve a call and he came over within an hour. Again, on a Sunday. Knew exactly what the issue was, fixed it quickly and the price was extremely fair (especially since we had no choice). Would definitely recommend.

Steve was originally going to come the next day but he pushed himself to come to us the same day in the evening. He was professional and found out what our problem was with our dryer (bad/worn out parts). He replaced the bad or worn out dryer parts with parts he had in stock and fixed our dryer in less than an hour. Thank you Steve.

Service call was today, so can't comment on complete success yet-- but it certainly appears that the repair will work!

Fridge wasn't getting cold. Made an urgent call mid afternoon and Steve was able to accomodate us and arrive the same day late afternoon. He's very professional and courteous and I would highly recommended Steve's Appliance Repair.

Our freeze has been making noise for a while now and my wife and I were concerned it was on it's last legs. Called Steve to have him come and take a look and evaluate the problem. I can see why he gets great reviews here. He was punctual, professional, took the time to show me what the cause of the noise was. He explained what my options were and that the part didn't really need to be replaced. There was no hard sell or pressure to make a decision. Would highly recommend him and use his services again.

Steve returned my call promptly and on the next day when he was scheduled to arrive, he called a couple of times in the morning to let me know how his schedule was for the day to ensure we would meet. Steve knew what the problem was after I provided the details which showed he knew the machine. He hung around for multiple cycles of the drying to ensure everything was working satisfactorily.

Steve accommodated our request for urgent service and arrived promptly. The door of the refrigerator had collapsed and was in very poor shape. Steve reversed the refrigerator and freezer doors. He did it quickly and very efficiently. The refrigerator now runs perfectly and looks like new again.

Did a good job but for what he did but the price was a little too high. We also didn't get a itemized receipt for the service.

We woke up this morning to our crying baby, only to find our fridge had gotten warm over night. The milk hadn't yet spoiled, and I called Steve first thing. He arrived at our house with 2 hours as promised and fixed our fridge in less than 10 minutes (he had the required parts in his truck) . He also provided some tips and advice for keeping the seals tight. Very professional and an overall great guy. Highly recommend.

Called him on his day off and left a message. He returned the phone call the same day and asked when it would be convenient for me. 2 days later he showed up on time after calling in advance, repaired the dryer and included the Angie's list discount. Great experience. Highly recommended.

Steve understood the urgency of the call, was up front with costs for assessment and potential problem with the fridge. He arrived in the time frame he provided which was on the same day. Once he took a look at the fridge he provided his full cost for repair and was able to fix the issue in 2 hours. He had the part on hand in his truck which was impressive. While he was performing the repair he explained what the problem was and how he was repairing it. Steve was professional and friendly and didn't mind my children running around while he did his work.

Steve arrived the same day and was on time. He was courteous and quickly fixed the issue. A day later, the refrigerator is working well. We liked his work so much that the next day, I called him to fix burners on stove for my in-laws. Would recommend him to friends and family.

Steve made the time for this repair, even though it meant he didn't finish up until 6:30 pm. He dissembled the freezer of our refrigerator and defrosted the iced-up coils. He was careful and made sure the melt water didn't mess up the kitchen floor, He tested the defroster circuit and found that the timer was bad. He replaced the timer and checked that the refrigerator was working correctly, (it was). Steve is a nice guy and certainly knows his business..

The repair went beautifully. Steve was honest, informative and made me feel very comfortable.

I thought it might be too old to repair, because it's over 25 years old. Steve showed up within an hour after I called and assured me that it could be done right away. He was quick and efficient, finishing the job within half an hour, so I suppose it was a broken coupling or belt, but I forgot to ask for specifics because I was so happy to see it working.

He was thorough, efficient and explained everything to me as he did it. He found the problem (it was a loose connection), he fixed it right there and charged me a VERY fair rate. He was a pleasure to deal with.

It went really well! The oven being 50 yrs old give or take some - is working well. I was afraid I would have to replace it but to my surprise he was very knowledgeable and it was good as new.

My mother's dryer was reported to not work again as per her home attendant. I called Steve and asked him to diagnose the issue for he was there not too long ago fixing the dryer. Turns out the home attendant was not closing the dryer door properly. Glad he came back a second time for he also found a blocked Vent pipe going to the outside from the dryer causing a hazardous situation. He cleaned and replaced the vent and made sure the dryer worked, at it was fine. My mother is very happy with Steve and so am I. Steve is honest, dependable, reliable and caring plus he stands by his work. I definitely would use Steve again and again and again.
