I was able to get on roof to resolve the issue so Bill was very helpful to cancel the appointment.

Excellent. He was punctual and finished the roof in 2 days. The extra day was required because he had to special order a skylight that needed to be replaced. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. He was very honest and gave me two different options on fixing a leak in my roof. He did not push me towards the more expensive option of replacing the whole roof rather then replacing the leaking section.. I had already decided beforehand that I wanted the whole roof replaced. It has been about a month since the roof was replaced and everything seems water tight now. I also decided to have my brick house waterproofed with silicone as well as have all the windows/doors re-caulked. He gave me a fair price on this work as well as the roof work. Bill was very professional and I would highly recommend him.

I called a few places the morning we discovered the leak, got quotes and time frame estimates. Bill was able to get a crew to us the very same day, and with a little negotiating, wound up getting a price that, though not the cheapest, was quite competitive with quotes I got from other Angie's List providers. Most importantly, they were able to come right away. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional and everything was explained to me in detail

Bill arrived on time and was very easy to talk to. He was able to work the same day which was a great relief since the rain had leaked into the house a couple of days before. Bill worked quietly and was very focused on what he was doing. Bill took before and after photos and was very easy to understand. He was very professional yet very easy to converse with.He was very neat. Also it has subsequently rained since he's been here and the ceiling and affected wall have remained DRY!!!!!

ok-- Felt like Owner was nickle and dimeing .But work was good .recommended to my mother in law she felt same and was very unhappy

Had a bad experience. I contacted Bill in early August, and tried to arrange an appointment. He had a coupon up on Angie's list for skylight repair. He was hard to get hold of and said he was busy and not able to come over the course of a week, after which I would be out of town. Seemed like he was not eager to honor the coupon. Contacted him again upon my return at end of August, again hard to reach but he returned my third call to him and said it would be 1-2 months before he could come into Manhattan. I reminded him that he has Manhattan listed as a service area and if it took him 3 months just to come look a job over, in fairness to Angie's list members he should not claim to service Manhattan. I've lost a month going back and forth with him and wish he would have just told me at the outset that he was not willing to honor the coupon or come into Manhattan.

i read all the reviews earlier today and i called the provided. I have been an angie's list member since i purchased my home in 2013. I have tried many times to get someone to come look at my roof and give me a quote. An example of what i got, was well your roof is too small, we need to do a larger area. Another response i got was, we do the roof but you have to handle the debris. i called the provider and told him my situation. Within in an hour, they were on my roof, and gave me several options. i Was impressed, and then i was blown away, they said they could do the work today? i did not even attempt to haggle the price. what was impressive was i was at work and so was my wife. I was able to see the provider work from my home installed security cameras. i have to tell you, there was no trace of them working on my roof -the place was clean. They did this work during a very windy day. The provider included a four year warranty on the roof. So i promise to add additional reviews as needed. The true proof of the providers work is their standing behind their work. I told them, "this is my first Christmas in june."

The leaks has caused interior damage and the contractor refuses to repair it. Is this right?

Repaired the roof within 1 hour and had no issues.

I purchased from Angies List the $69 skylight sealing and roof inspection. Mr. White came with a worker and an associate, I'm not sure exactly. After the worker was on my roof for less than an hour. Mr White and partner went up to inspect the roof, I showed them damage in my kitchen and under my windows from what seemed to be water. They really didn't seem to know where the damage it was coming from although they noticed that my windows in the rear of my home were not sealed. At first they said the roof needed repaired and sealed, they quoted me a price of $4,000.00. When they saw that I was reluctant, they were persistent and were eager to do the job that day, that they had the availability and said they would repair the roof and seal it for $3,200.00. I said I wanted to shop it around but they were insistent and offered to seal the windows as well. So I agreed. I don't know what kind of repair they were doing however the worker barely made a noise. I think he just tared around the seams and the chimney. I then looked on AngiesList at the deals and found I deal for $1,349.00 which stated a "Flat Roof Revitalization" from Vandelay Contracting. This seemed to be exactly what I was getting and I confronted Mr. White, he said that the were some cheap contractors on Angies List and that he would be doing a quality job and that he was also going to seal my windows. He insisted I show him the deal which I printed out and showed him. I thought another $1,850.00 just to seal my windows and who was to say I was getting a quality job or this other contractor was not quality. I felt that very little was being done for what I was paying and I really needed to cut my losses at that point and said that I would pay him for what he had done and not to proceed any further. Mr White said he had done half the job already yet they had only maybe sealed the seams of my roof and chimney. It hadn't even been coated. After going back and forth with him and his associate about what really needed to be done and what he had really accomplished for the price, I said fine I'll pay you $1,600.00. I just wanted them out of my home, but he insisted on finishing the job and coating the roof for the $1,600.00. A second truck came with the coating material and his worker went onto the roof and again I barely heard anything. He finished and I paid. I figured the coating needed time to dry so I waited before looking at the job. When I went up to the roof, it was not coat, again just the seams and the chimney were coated. I would never use this contractor again nor recommend him to anyone. They are high priced, dishonest and high pressure.

I was very disappointed by the $69 gutter cleaning and roof inspection. I paid for someone to come out and check the roof and clean the gutters - all I received was enormous pressure to spend $7000 that day to purchase a new roof. I don't know if my gutter was ever look at and I never received the pictures as promised from the contractors of my flat roof. I would never commit that kind of money until I get different bids from other contractors. I would look elsewhere for someone to replace my roof.

, Everything went well. The provider responded promptly after I selected the deal on Angie's List. The provider inspected, evaluated and took pictures of the roof. He met with me shared his findings, and gave me detailed explanations for his findings. After answering my questions, he gave me his recommendation of which I accepted. The following day the roof and skylight was installed.
