Ettel Restoration and Remodeling

Description of Work: He was contracted to replace bathtub, remove old and install new flooring, install new sink, lights and mirror, mount towel racks, toilet paper holder etc. 1) the new flooring installed partially, but never finished, i.e., proper molding was never placed, nor was it caulked to seal moisture out. Because the edges were never sealed, moisture now is able to seep under flooring and be absorbed by pad, particularly around the toilet. 2) the vinyl flooring was placed on top of an absorbent pad rather than straight onto non-absorbent sub-floor; this was done without consulting me beforehand (because I would have said no). As any remodeling book will tell you, the floor should have been first leveled with plywood, and then the flooring placed. 2) the new sink was leveled in ridiculously slipshod fashion with a broken piece of laminate used as a shim; 3) some sort of corrosive was apparently used in the sink that ruined the metal sink plug - which was of course brand new; 4) medicine cabinet is flush mount, and was installed such that it was warped enough to cause the closure to become detached repeatedly and the mirror cabinet door not to close (hangs open); 5) the toilet was stabilized (?) - (permanently??) - with some sort of metal gadget; 6) No molding was replaced, just left it loose in bathroom; 7) attic access in bathroom ceiling was taken off, and a plugged in extension cord (?) was run into attic and just left there; 8) none of the towel racks, toilet paper holder, were mounted, and none of the light switch covers were replaced, all were just left on floor.

Description of Work: Jason has repaired downspouts, put up closets in the basement and installed shelves in the garage. He also powerwashed the deck and put down preservative to protect the deck. He has been very competent and reliable for all the jobs and seems to take pride in doing a very good job. He has also helped with smaller inside repair jobs.
