Worst service experience of my life. This guy is a con artist, a thief, and a pathological liar. He will speak quickly, throwing out what he thinks are "technical" terms, the meaning which he actually does not know. He is untrained, unlicensed, and uninsured. Since my horrible experience with this guy I spoke with another company that he worked for and was fired by. They told me that he had cost them a lot of business because of the customers he screwed up. He fast-talked them, originally, into giving him a job but they subsequently discovered that he was a con artist. STAY AWAY FROM RICH HUDACEK. HE CALLS HIMSELF A PLUMBER BUT HE IS NOT.
Description of Work: My air conditioning was not working (central air with outdoor compressor and attic air handler). He told me that my compressor was blown and I needed a new one. Not to worry, he said, he had a slightly used unit that he would put in and I would pay him when I could (I was out of work at the time). I gave him $300 and a flat screen TV in barter. Over the rest of the summer, he was at my house about twice a week because the compressor kept causing my circuit breakers in the house to trip and the a/c would not work for more than a day or two at a time. Finally, when I heard an explosion and saw flames shooting from the compressor, I called another air conditioning company. I was told that the unit in my backyard had been put together with spare parts and was missing crucial electrical governors that protect the unit from power surges and fires. I was also told that the coolant he put in the system was contaminated and it caused my air handler in the attic to corrode. So now, because of all the damage he caused, I needed to replace BOTH units at a total cost of $7,000!!! To add insult to injury, he took me to small claims court claiming that I never paid him for the compressor!!!! The court date is pending but I have signed affidavits certifying all the damage he did. This guy calls himself a plumber, but it turns out he is not licensed or insured. At the time I did not think to check such licenses. I know now. DO NOT USE THIS GUY. HE IS A THIEF!!!
