Twanya was the lady who came out and she had put a file behind the chair and it was packed really tightly. I couldn?t find the file for seven months. She was horrible. The filing cabinet was in a mess and it was all jumbled. I looked at everything since there were certain things missing. She would hide things without telling me. She never mentioned that she had put somethings in a big box and left it in the garage. The people who were supposed to do the work in the bathroom had vanished. I then found about a month later that the brand new bathroom rugs that I bought were in the garage. I even found the kitchen curtains in the garage. I had washed those curtains. She didn?t throw anything out, but they were in the garbage bags. The window curtains for one window were also there. So there were lots of things like that. That happened all the time. I keep things together. I went over to the box that had my radio, but there was no cord in it. So I asked her for the cord and she said that all the cords were in the basement in a plastic bag. She had opened the box, unplugged the wires from the radio, closed it and took it downstairs to add it to any other wires that she found upstairs. She then put it all in a plastic bag. It was just bizarre that she did it. I always keep the manual with the item, but she said that the manual should be in the filing cabinet. I kept everything in an alphabetical order and I searched everywhere for the manual, but it wasn?t there. I searched the printer manual everywhere and she said that she didn?t know. It was just unbelievable as to what she did. The printer manual is gone again. I would give her a terrible rating. I knew that the things were either in the basement or in the garage. It was just insane. She brought some plastic tubs for keeping the things in the basement, but she didn?t let me help. She said that all the tubs were in the basement, but I saw one in the dining room in the corner. It had a big box on top of it. It had a lot of photographs, which were very important photographs. I then took the tub down and opened it up. There were bills that hadn?t been opened in the tubs. I had told her not to touch some of the things. I opened a tub which was in the basement and I found a catalog, newspaper and many more things. I also found the most recent picture of my grandchild over there, which my daughter had sent. It was lying there in between lots of newspapers and catalogs. She had not covered it with anything. It was an eight by ten glossy photograph lying in the middle of the stuff. I also found another photograph of another grandchild of mine. I then found some other shocking things. I had kept them in a safer place with a plastic over them. She had removed them and they were all lying there completely exposed. There was stuff that I really needed. There was also mess in the upstairs bedroom. They had to remove all the stuff that was on the floor and then put it into a basket for the cleaning people to clean. The downstairs looked pretty good, but there was one dresser upstairs which was untouched. There were a lot of things that were untouched. I had told her that a mirror needed to be polished. I had told her to keep the baskets on the bed so that the cleaning people could clean the floor. She had filled the baskets with photographs, books and magazines. I had emptied the closet for her to keep the things, but she never used the closet at all. She didn?t clean the surfaces. But instead picked up the baskets and piled them up on a mirror. All the surfaces in all the bedrooms upstairs were all completely untouched. She had piled up some things up to the ceiling. They were supposed to come and vacuum the floor and dust everything. She had littered the floor. I couldn?t even get close to it. There were some baskets which were full and some were empty and also some empty organizers. I had to spend two hours trying to pick up some things. She made it much worse. I had some really important and unopened bills and letters which were in the baskets. I had put some things under the bed to safeguard. I took my pocketbook and also put that under the bed covers. I then pulled the covers up. They created a big mess and left in the evening. She was with her helper and worked downstairs. I paid her $300 and she then left. I then started searching for my medication the next morning which I had kept upstairs under the covers. I pulled the covers and my pocketbook was there, but I couldn?t find the basket containing the important bills and letters. I didn?t go upstairs until the next morning since the downstairs looked okay. My purse was there, but someone had taken that basket from there. The things that I had to deal with the next day were gone. I screamed since I didn?t get my basket with all the unopened letters and bills. I called her and I asked her for that. She said that she didn?t know. I trusted her since she never stole anything. The price I paid her was pretty good. She was friendly and knowledgeable, but I was annoyed with her many times. If she has done this to me, then she can do this to someone else too.
Description of Work: I used the services of Get Organized Now for organizing my house. Their last visit was in February of 2010.

She is likable on the phone and has good written communication. She wanted to do the organizing the way she wants to, even with some suggestions I make and without asking for the most obvious things. I have asked her to communicate better with me. She continued to not listen to me and ended up causing more work for me.
Description of Work: She has come to my home about 5 times for organizing. I know that things tend to disappear and I have found things months after. The night they came, I put some things in a basket, unopened mail and 9 bills that I did not want them to get misplaced, under the covers of my bed and put my pocketbook under the covers. They told me to go ahead downstairs and they will take care of the upstairs. The next day I looked under the covers of the bed to get somethings out of my pocketbook and the basket was gone. Nothing had been organized in the room. When I called her and was so mad and screaming at her about needing the things in the basket, she told me I needed to see a doctor since she thought I had ADD. I told her I had a list of 15 items that I needed and they had not organized anything but created a humongous area of clutter in one area. Unbelievable stack of items that were cluttered.

They are absolutely superb. They are on time and they are modestly priced. Their personalities are beyond wonderful. They go the extra mile and provide creative solutions. They make your life feel better. They are very productive and efficient. They start their work after one look around. I could not have spent money better! You don?t have to have apprehensions about trusting your home to strangers. They immediately make you feel like they are friends. They consult you for your preferences.
Description of Work: Get Organized Now cleaned closets, did my paper work and also helped my daughter with her work.

It went very well. Twanya arrived on time and worked for many hours straight through each time she came. I never saw anyone work so hard with no breaks at all. She really focuses on the task at hand and gets the work done. I definitely will use her again and would highly recommend her.
Description of Work: Twanya organized my home office for me. She took stacks and stacks of disorganized papers, receipts, files, etc. that had accumulated over a very long period of time and organized it all.
