Freeport Garage Door is HORRIBLE! Don't go here unless you want to be treated rudely and given sub quality work My garage door came off it's track, "Karen" the alleged owner, sent out a technician, Erik whose sub standard work only lasted hours after his poor attempt to repair my door. When I called that Karen on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving she lied and said her store would not be open until Tuesday... I called Monday to leave a voicemail and that Karen assistant. and older raspy sounding woman said, "Yes were open for business". I started to tell her about the issues with their sub quality work.. the door off the track, the lock their incompetent technician, Erik installed, could not be opened with extra keys I had made at a licensed locksmith. The older woman started a conversation with that Karen who later got on the phone with her nasty attitude and rude disposition. At this point I was frustrated and annoyed with her lack of respect. My 90 year old mother pick up the phone to disarmed the situation and that Karen told her she would call her back in the afternoon for a another technician to come out.. that was Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1pm.. it's now Tuesday and we'er still waiting for that call. I truly believe in supporting local business, but when customers are given sub standard work and charged top dollar than met with disrespect, and lies then they don't deserve to have well paying customers. Don't use this place, we deserve better when there is other companies who want our business and treat you with respect.

No reciept, 2 remotes, no keypad, no bulbs, left bulb covers open on all the bulb areas. Not sure if I got new rollers- if the springs are okay? Called next day noone knew what service was done, left message. Woman calls today, when I question service, she cut me off while speaking and took a defensive approach.

Great. The garage door works better than it ever has. It comes down easily and is no longer a danger to me.

They did a very good job and we were very pleased with the installer and with the work he did. We would definitely hire them again.

My automatic garage door was not functioning properly. I had to hold the button down in order for the door to fully close. It made a terrible racket, and the lights didn't work. Rob came exactly when he said he would, even though we're in the middle of a Nor'Easter storm. He was friendly, professional, courteous, and fixed the door in a way that saved me money. I highly recommend Rob and Freeport Garage Door Co.

From ordering the door to the installation everything went really great. They got back to me quickly from the first time I called til when the door was ordered and ready for installation. I would recommend and would definitely use them again.

Work was great. I was not able to be home but my wife stayed while they were doing this project, and they did a great job of including me in this process throughout. The workers were very clean and detail oriented. Very satisfied with this job!

They don't provide service. I followed up with them and they're incredibly rude. They're atrocious. I would never use them in a million years again.

It was fine. I have no problem with them. They guarantee the work, if the door doesn't sets right they will come and fix it. The came to measure the garage door and then they will install it .

I am searching for a garage door on a detached garage at my deceased father's house. I live 2 hours away and my family that lives there work during the day. So I called at 12:44 PM on 3/17/2015, a Tuesday, to schedule an estimate where I would not have to be there. Someone there said he could get out there by Thursday or Friday. It was 3 PM on Friday I have not heard and I called on my cell phone from work. The young lady that answered the phone said she could not hear me and there was music in the background then hung up. I called back to let them know it was not from my end since I am a Police Officer at the Dispatching station which we had no calls at the time. It was actually quiet. I called back to talk to her again and once again the line went dead. So I called a third time and got a gentleman voice and tried to explain my situation and I said I believe I spoke to a Chris. He said there is no Chris here and HUNG UP on me again. God Forbid I answer a call with that type of a disposition. Very poor customer service. Not Punctual. Horrible Customer service.

The lady on the phone for the initial call was friendly and polite and set up a date for a technician to come and see what the problem was. Brian arrived on time (called beforehand), inspected the unit, and told me it needed to be replaced (I expected this since the old unit was at least 15 years old, probably more).. He quoted me two prices, one for a chain driven unit and one for the belt (only a $45 difference) so I went with the belt for the extra quietness. It also included an extra remote and opener. Also, if I used them, they would deduct the $95 service call. The price was what I expected, so I went with them. Brian couldn't make the appointment at that time, and it was Friday, so he said they would call me Monday or Tuesday to set it up. The same pleasant lady called me on Tuesday and we set up the appointment. They called the day before to confirm as well. Pete the installer showed up on time (actually a few minutes early) and went to work. He was pleasant and professional. He obviously knew what he was doing, and finished the job in about 2 hours give or take. He explained how it worked, set up the keypad, and insured everything was working properly. I appreciated that he was careful to make sure he cleaned up, and he was also noticeably careful not to damage anything in the area while taking down the old unit and removing it from the area. The unit is so quiet you can barely hear it in the house, compared to the old clunker we had. We love it. I found them to be a solid, professional company to deal with from start to finish, and the price was right what I expected to pay for this job (did some research). The final bill reflected the service fee credit, so there was no problem with pricing. I would recommend them, and will use in the future when my other unit decides to go (it's old too, but still serviceable).

When my husband called to get some pricing on a few things we wanted, he said that the woman he spoke with was a rude and said that someone will call him and hung up. We did not get any pricing and never received a call to schedule. Two weeks later, someone shows up at my door for an appointment that was never made or confirmed. We had no idea of pricing and since he was here, we had to pay the $99 service call fee (that we were never told about) weather or not he did any work. The gentleman said he came last week but no one answered. i explained that was proof right there an appointment was never made because we were away. He then said it said today written on the top of his invoice. Anyways, we needed a new spring and wanted to have a keypad put in. The opener is old so we were told that they do not make the keypads for them anymore and we would have to get a new mechanism for $450. My husband opted against it at that point because we were never given any pricing and unable to shop around to see if it's even a fair price. We had him replace both springs and he fixed a pulley and cable for us for $149 plus tax. When it came time to pay I presented the 5% off Angie's List coupon and was told that I couldn't use it (I forget the exact reason). It's not a lot of money off but it's the principal. I found the company via Angie's list and called them first based on reviews and the coupon. I was told by the tech that if we get the new opener installed within 30 days, they will waive the service fee and we will get some coupons. He apologized for the miscommunication and I apologized if i came off a bit snotty because I know it was not his fault. I had no qualms with the tech, just how the company handled the call. I can't judge punctuality because I never made an appointment. The tech was professional but if I had to judge the initial call I would give it a D or an F.

They came on time and they were very responsive. They corrected the problem.

The purchase and installation was flawless. We visited their showroom on two occasions and they had an extensive selection of possible door replacements as well as openers. They ordered the door, it came when expected and they installed it professionally as agreed. They confirmed their appointment and called the day of the installation to confirm their arrival. I would recommend them to anyone for installation or repair.

Though the female receptionist was very nice, the female owner of the business was rude and unprofessional. She refused to allow use of a coupon due to it being expired only about a week before- it took days just to receive an answer to that question. The installer used much of the home's electricity to power up his tools. The remote I was given for the door does not work and I hesitate to even deal with them again

The installer did a great job service was prompt, professional, and reasonably priced.

They came at the time slot that they promised. Person was professional and neat. Performed all the services and added a special piece to hopefully prevent the cable from coming off again in the future (this was being proactive). One minor thing, they replaced the bracket that was corroded but didn't replace the wheel, If I would have known that I would have asked him to replace the wheel while he was there. I thought the standard service charge of $95 was a bit high.

After Hurricane Sandy, the list of repairs necessary on my home was extremely long, but I wanted to be sure I did things once and right. I'd heard many good things about Freeport Garage Doors, and decided to drop in to their showroom to see what they had available. The owners asked me some questions about what I was looking for, and confirmed my hunch about using vinyl doors near the Atlantic Ocean to increase the lifespan of the solution. Custom frosted-glass inserts were an easy upgrade option, as was my choice of 2 Chamberlain belt-drive motors with battery backup and Internet gateway. When my installation date came around, the technician was an all-star. On a bitterly cold February day, he carefully and completely removed my ravaged old wooden doors, detached the old chain-driven openers, guides, and all traces of the legacy system. The installation of the new Wayne Dalton doors and Chamberlain motors was amazingly quick, with every cable stapled down tightly and unobtrusively. We spent the better part of an hour configuring and confirming all 4 remote controls, my built-in car remote controls, and my iPhone's Liftmaster app, and throughout the entire time he had the patience of an absolute professional. I couldn't ask for more, and know I will be happy with my new garage for many years to come. With this level of customer service, though - I know that even if something makes me unhappy Freeport Garage Doors will send out the best to make it right.

I made the awful mistake of calling another company that is NOt located in Freeport but has a named that is misleadingly close. The repair on my garage door was rather amateurish. But Freeport Garage Door made it right. This was the third or fourth time that they have replaces springs and did other minor repair work. And they come when they say that they'll come and they get it right the first time.

Install was done 2 weeks after the quote. Installer was on time, professional, job was completed in about 3 hours. Area was swept clean. Everything works, no issues at all. Highly recommended.

Went went- straight-forward quote and timely installation.

Shortly after they installed their equipment on our garage door, the garage door stopped closing completely, and would leave approximately a 7 inch gap between the ground and the bottom of the door. It would register this as being fully closed. Needless to say, this led to much heat loss in the house and is a clear safety hazard, as anyone could just break in this way! Then, the light sensor would blink endlessly - we thought something must have been blocking it but literally, have moved any and everything (including piles of leaves, because you know, when your garage door doesn't close, that blows in too....and don't even get me started on all the snow that blows in) out of the way, and nothing solves the problem. When we called the company to arrange to have them fix this, they told us we would have to pay an additional $100 just to have someone come out and look, and THEN we would have to pay him for his labor, and THEN we would have to pay for his parts! This is a SCAM!!!! In the end, we literally had to threaten to take them to the Better Business Bureau, because this is just NOT RIGHT. You do not do CRAPPY work on people's homes and then charge them to come and fix what YOU messed up. They are a disgusting and dishonest company. Don't believe these positive reviews - they MUST be written by family and friends. I don't WHO they paid or hired to write these positive reviews. There is no way you can go from being so horrible with customers to being so outstanding with others.
